I really appreciate how aware you are of newer players. You don't just assume or take for granted key points. Dimensional Fissure + xyz material is a good example.
Sometimes it's hard to tell when something is obvious as a veteran, i wish more newbies would come to my discord, ask me more questions, so it could direct video direction.
@@LegacyCrusaders Perhaps my experience as a new player will help. I started on Master Duel, Nexus and Omega. These engines are automatic - NOT manual as Dueling Book (as you already know). Thus, when I transitioned to the physical card game and started playing at my locals, though I knew my deck very well, I began to make big mistakes that I otherwise wouldn't make on Master Duel. This is the state I am in now, so I am now "going back to the basics" so to speak. I believe my experience is common for many newer players, so keeping "automatic engines vs manual engines" in mind can help you distinguish between a veteran's base knowledge and a newbies' lack of base knowledge. I hope you this helps!
Some xyz say 2+ level 4, or overlay over another xyz and attach its material too this card. Some monsters have effects that attach more material to them. You can't just add more or overlay for more than listed.
How do people summon an XYZ monster and then another XYZ monster with that same monster that’s higher rank? Then they end up with Zeus and I have no clue how. Is it like ranking up? I see people do it with cyber dragon all the time
Some xyz on their own cards say they can be xyz summoned by using another xyz as material, kind of like galatea i mention in the video. It's specific to that xyz itself. This video mentions rank ups but the goal is to teach the standard way as per the rule book. Good cards break the standard rules, so when you see something doing more than what i said, you have to read the card itself, or other cards in play that may have lead to it.
@austinbenz2810 Part of Zeus' effect states that it can use an Xyz monster that attacked that turn as material. Meaning that no matter what rank that Xyz monster is, Zeus can use it as material as long as it attacked that turn.
Hi legacy crusader, day 1 n00b here. If “materials” for an Xyz Summon are negated and sent to the graveyard are they permanently “dead” and cannot be used, reborn, or banished for other effects because they are not treated as monsters? Fantastic video thank you!
Materials can be used again for all those things, if you're situation is more complicated, perhaps there could be other reasons they aren't usable, but just being a material for a monster who's summon of negated shouldn't stop anything from being done with the material.

Can you use more than the material required for xyz summon? I’ve seen cards the need two materials but have effects that have a 3 material cost?

@@LegacyCrusaders okay that makes sense thanks man! That has always kinda stumped me. Appreciate the clarification on that
