I have had my farmstand for over two years and have had many issues, the pump has gone out 3 times, the paper pack twice, the tank split, two glow lights have shorted out-- all at inconvenient times and two to three hours to take apart and replace the parts once lettuce grow sent replacements. In the meantime I lost the plants in my farmstand. They replaced all of these parts and plants however had been way more maintenance that I want or should be-- otherwise it is wonderful and will be hard to give up, but it’s just been too much work-
Utilize the full reservoir. It allows for more nutrients in the reservoir. As your plants use nutrients, there is less maintenance in both terms of frequency of adjusting pH and frequency of adding nutrients. So your plants have more time in optimal conditions, with less maintenance to boot. It also stabilizes the unit more, especially for our door applications.
I have 3 versions - each the same of their 36 plant size all with the full lighting system. I have had some failures in the pump or lights. Currently yet another light only partially failed - as the light works but the lead to the next light has failed. No visible damage on anything. Here’s what everyone should know: YOU CANNOT CALL THEM FOR WARRANTY OR CUSTOMER SERVICE! That is my big complaint. They have each time sent warranty replacements but its a slow email process and you cannot call them - they are "buffered"
You can definitely hear it, but it isn't jarring. It doesn't really bother me as it has that waterfall ambient sound for 15 mins. But it isn't silent for sure.
I was thinking of buying a lettuce stand but the continue $$$ cost is a little much. Have you encountered root rot? I understand, every plant needs to be trashed and every part of the Grow stand washed.
We've cut and come again for about 3 harvests before clearing out the entire stand for a cleanse and new seedlings. That seems to be a good timeframe for cleanliness for us.

Yes that is very frustrating and a bit shady. I’ve had many issues as well and I’m ready to give up- too much maintenance
Thanks for the great review.
How loud is it when it waters? Just wondering if that is something to consider.

If you do a comparison Gardyn or Farmstand?

Did you experience any fruit flies or bugs indoors? How did you mitigate this problem?
Yes they're hard to avoid. We use this and it is surprisingly good at catching them: amzn.to/3RONItJ
