Haili is so gonna whoop you for not using her homemade funnel. LOL. Agree with ya on using plain water. People try to sell you all kinds of things to start seeds when it is not really needed. Amazing step by step ya's done for us here! Always nice to see folks helping other learn this hydro growing game. Stay safe and warm up there my friends! Hope you folks have a great safe week!

    Great video. Learned a lot. One thing I'd really love to know is how do you stop your roots going rotten as the plant gets bigger. I seems to have things running along ok while the plant is little but as soon as it gets bigger, the leaves go all limp, and the roots covered in algae. I'm doing deep water technique right now, but recall similar problems when I tried nutrient film technique.

    • @phloughergirl
      @phloughergirl 2 года назад

      Are you making sure no light gets into your container? That’s what causes the algae. Also, there needs to be some air space between the nutrient solution and the bottom of the plant. You want some roots in the solution, but they also need air. Perhaps this is what is causing your root rot and algae issue.

Thanks for your videos, they have been and continue to be hugely informative and overall great. I was hoping you could assist me in finding the black rubber grommets and tube size you are using. I have purchased package after package of rubber grommets, drilled holes into my 1" sched 40 PVC and purchased various tube dimensions, but have not found the right fit. Mine usually tend to leak or not fit. Any assistance you can provide would be wonderful. Thanks John
