I've been working with blender for a couple years and have been repeating the Imperial style for myself and I have to say that it's actually much deeper and not as simple as it seems, but this video does a great job of showing the base, great job!
You can definitely go in and get pretty advanced especially if you start to incorporate sims, multiple cameras etc. I’ll have to do more videos on it and slowly get deeper
I've been searching for weeks on how to make videos like this, thank you so much. Probably the best content I've watched in the last year. You're the best man 😎
My man mapal just dropped what i was searching on yt for weeks, Thanks for your Hard Word. Please continue this series of advanced breakdown 🙏 Please come with Part 2 of this with more complex scenes.
Bro i was literally browsing your channel just now after following your vox guides thinking "Man i hope he makes a Fern tutorial sometime" and right here it is thank you so much omg
It’s super fun and opens up so many new things you can do! If you’re wanting to learn it I highly recommend using the skillshare link in the description. That’s where I learned everything I know
Imo I think 3d modeling/animation skills are gonna be the next must-have skill for video editors. If you look at a lot of new big documentary style channels, the video editors do 3d modeling as well (fern, hoog, imperial).
You can't imagine how much these tutorials help me to fulfill my dream of bringing good quality content in Spanish. Thank you very much Mapal, I love you so much.❤
@@mapal I hope you can keep bringing tutorials in blender, lemmino, ferm and others are my inspiration to create content, I do not want to copy them just learn to do what they do to create my own style. Thanks again mapal!
Press “G” and then shift z to exclude moving in the z plain..in that sense you can move the character on the ground at any to your preferred position…great tutorials overall 👍🏾❤️
the video is great, could u do a tutorial like this for how to do 3d map animations with the gsi add on in blender, also maybe with map markers and stuff like that
Love your videos man. I know this channel is kind of out of commission, but I'd love it if you did a "how to edit like 1791L." Their style is impeccable.
Wow dude is soo good at this , I watch your videos all the time I really can’t follow your process because I can’t subscribe to adobe after effects, I’d really love to learn how to use it . ❤
Luckily, this one is in blender, which is completely free! As far as after effects goes you can often ask the support to get a discount for what it’s worth
this is a banger! thank you so much. Can you make something on how imperial makes those 3D maps? like the one in his turkey earthquake video with the pulsing earthquakes effect or like the first minute in his Italian cruise video? Would love to learn that
Bro, thx for everything i really appreciate what you doing... I wish i could donate or something but i think u know... Most of us here learning this to make some money. I wish you make more videos about DaVinci resolve especially about magnets media and vox style. Because actually you know we are beginners and have no money ( we can't do risk ) so we are forced to use free or paid lifetime programs Sorry for my English and this long comment but you can't understand how this can be life changing. Again... Thanks man, keep going.
Thank you! And there is absolutely no need to donate anything. Watching, commenting, liking, and subscribing is more than enough! I don’t have any experience doing animations in Davinci so it’s not something I can teach. At least not at this current point in time. The Adobe apps are definitely not cheap. Most of the time you can talk to their support and get a discount. If you’re a student you can get a discount.
my man ihave waiting for tis looooong time , please fern ,impericl , spectacle ,lemmino, style....... thankk u please cntinue to advnced , slow soothh story telling, please please ..........
Yes, More of this. Alot more. There is plenty of the 2d tutorials out there but very few of blender AE workflow. Also Can you show how to properly speed ramp in blender with the camera animation.
That is a good question! I don’t think it’s possible natively. I’ll have to see if there are any tools for that. However I will be making a video on how to use the camera in blender soon so keep an eye out for that!
Hi, I really like your videos. Your explanations are simple and effective. I saw a video from HOOG "The Genius Design of Dutch Money" which I find magnificent with the colors and lights. Could you make a video for us on the subject? In any case thank you very much
Tbh its better to do the camera keyframe easing in blender otherwise when easing in Ae you get that laggy frame skipping result that u showed ofc u can fix it with frame blending in ae as well but it ll look cleaner if eased in blender imo
Some of these are fairly quick to render especially if you play around with the samples. Sometimes you can get away with a lot less, which saves some time. Outside of that just a lot of rendering overnight or whilst working on something else. I do know they have render farms but I have no experience with them myself
Hahaha thank you! All the songs I use are typically in the description if you’re interested in the exact ones. For genres I typically jazz or classical and make sure to go acoustic
For RUclips I love Ben Marriott, Skymography, Gawx, Nick Bare, Represent. For courses I only have experience with Skillshare and they’ve been phenomenal
It’s actually pretty simple if you get a model that’s already rigged. Then all you’ll have to do is animate the position and the wheels will automatically rotate accordingly!!

Appreciate it champ!
I am pretty sure that you are the first one to do tutorials on this particular style like Imperial or Fern. Please do more of these 🙏🏻

This was incredible. Thank you. Maybe a Hoog/Fern one next? Its amazing how you are so good at AE, Davinci and Blender!
Appreciate it! They’re pretty similar in style but might have to dive into the different nuances

do more vids on it with more cameras. It was very informative
I’ll definitely have to! Adding multiple cameras is where it gets really fun (and hard)
Hey mapal can you create a full indept video on how fern makes his animations and the thumbnails
Yes, More of this. Alot more. There is plenty of the 2d tutorials out there but very few of blender AE workflow. Also Can you show how to properly speed ramp in blender with the camera animation.
I’ll have to get a pretty good hang of it myself first but I’ll work on it and include it in a video
@@mapal very cool. I recommend checking out the blender AE plugin as well that allows you to send all your blender data to AE and work in there too
You can add text inside of blender simple just how you add other objects!
I know but I have no clue how to animate the text the same way I do in Ae
@@mapal yeah that's a bit tricky
Nice video but the result at 29:19 looks laggy and badly rendered for some reason
Yeah looks like my render messed up! That’s on me. Thanks for letting me know
Really Thank you bruh 🎉
Thank you bro🙏
This came up in my feed and I have no idea who Imperial is. You should show the type of animation we’ll be making at the beginning.
I do show examples of the style right at about the 10 second mark 🫡

Awesome tutorial as always! Just one question bugging me though - what's the name of your keyboard model? the sound's majestic!
Thank you! It’s a keychron q1 pro with the keychron brown switches!
can we transfer the whole thing from blender to after effects so we can keyframe the the camera and text easier?

Bring videos on vox and Johnny Harris
