I'm working on a green SL3X soloist of a friend right now, really great solid guitar! especially with the neckthrough construction makes the difference in the cost of an import vs. a U.S.A. one seem insane. I have a jackson usa also neckthrough, the playability is very similar
The Indonesian guitars are very well built...the Jackson SLX's are built by Cort (The Swirl painted SLX's are made in China) Cort makes guitars, for a lot of different companies...I think Cort is the 2nd largest guitar maker, I think Samick is still the biggest though.
I have the Satin Red Pearl (same as in the video) its a beautiful guitar....after a few small upgrades, it sounds incredible. The neck is so nice...a little thicker than the Ibanez Wizard necks, that I am used to though.
@@unzerjio I put OFR steel bridge saddles, titanium string inserts, OFR string lock screws, and a Seymour Duncan Distortion TB-6 in the bridge position. The neck on the guitar is incredible....very low action, and the satin finish on the back of the neck, isn't sticky at all.
@@unzerjio I didn't know the guitar came in matte black...I have two matte black Ibanez RG5EX1's. Both of those are upgraded with Seymour Duncan Distortion pickups, as well.
I really like that guitar! It would be so nice if you played some riffs in each review! Do it, man! We will love to hear those beautys screaming some Thrash!
I bought the same guitar a few months ago....I put OFR steel bridge saddles, titanium string inserts, OFR string lock screws, and a Seymour Duncan Distortion TB-6 in the bridge position. The guitar sounds and plays incredible....awesome guitar. \m/
Same here...I did some small upgrades on the Floyd Rose. I installed OFR steel saddles, titanium insert blocks, and OFR string lock screws. I have the Floyd Rose "Push-In" style tremolo arm too. Haven't installed that yet though...great guitar!
Ya recibí la guitarra, quiero comentarte 2 cosas, la primera es que el tono no sirve, no funciona y la segunda es que los controles de tono y volumen vienen súper flojos. Que hacemos ???
Hey brother, not sure if you'll respond to this or anyone but Guitar Center has this (satin red and lightning blue model) on clearance for 569.99 US dollars. I know I'm set on the SLX Model but don't know if I should go for the satin red or satin black with the gold hardware. Keep in mind that the black/gold hardware is listed for 599.99 and is pre order. Any help/tips/experience with the SLX Soloist would be very helpful and appreciated thanks!
@@EssexRecordingStudios hey thanks for replying! Yeah I've been eyeing the black/gold for about a month now and seems like I'll go for it when I get a chance! Thanks again Keith!
This is no way comparable to the USA custom Shop or USA version. While it is a good choice for the money, you are comparing apples to oranges. I own both and you can tell the difference immediately. While I do like my White Indonesian soloist, I can tell the difference in play-ability and tonality.
I will tell you what...I have this guitar, it is one of the best guitars, I have ever owned or heard. The neck is incredible...it plays like butter, and the tone is so good with the Seymour Duncan Distortion TB-6 in the bridge.
@@portuguesebeer5069 i had orange then swapped to green , awesome guitars love them, I have the rainbow crackle pro version too but I really love the SLX
it's Indian laurel not rosewood on the fretboard.People say never buy a Floyd rose special guitar there especially bad. Just to stick with proper Floyd rose.
Yo compre esta guitarra y me llego dañada de lo electrónico!! Tuve que pagar $2000 pesos mexicanos! Tengan cuidado!! Con este tipo y en las guitarras que ofrece!!
is it Jackson SLXDX Soloist Rocket Red?

Mine is being shipped now its the black one
Just picked up a charvette desert crackle. This red beauty is a nice daily shedder at a good value.
I’m always happy with my guitars until I see all these damn vids. Love em all
I have this guitar...same model and its unbelievable.
I have this in lightening blue and it’s been my main for awhile now

There some VERY good guitars coming out of Indonesia lately.
I think Indonesian guitars are excellent....I have 3 Indonesian made guitars, they all play and sound awesome! \m/
I am looking to buy my second guitar around that price and I want it to have a good tremolo 24 frets around that price should I buy this?
I think these are really good value, especially if you buy a pre-owned one!
Watch you tube videos on Floyd rose special guitars you might want to stay away from this type of Floyd rose.
Beautiful!!

Oh good to know the difference. I've heard a lot of people say the Special is just fine. There's a big price difference for the German original.
Necesito saber cuál fue el costo de la Guitarra???????????

Vi esta misma guitarra en descuento, en un Guitar Center, en los Estados Unidos por $350. Nuevo eran $600.
