- We spent a few days in Lucca and headed to Monterosso where we took a boat down to the 5 villages along the coast. I was using the XT4 and the Leica SL.

Incredible how gorgeous Italy is, you managed to perfectly capture it. So happy and proud you took that leap.

@@hunterhart1 Thanks!
Stumbled across your channel when debating if I should go with Leica SL or GFX50r. Do you miss the GFX system? or are you very happy with the SL?
I think it really depends on what you need. They both have their place that’s for sure. I was shooting slow and wanted the best resolution I’d go GFX if you don’t need the medium format look and aspect ratio and want something a little faster, I’d go SL. They both cost about the same now and the lenses are about the same price that you could get for them (if you’re going AF on the SL, I’d go Sigma glass). I actually don’t have either of them now. I did a huge clean out of all my cameras and went from 9 to 4, had too much going on and we are trying to buy a house.
@@hunterhart1 Strange enough, the SL is a bit cheaper at 1.8k for me than GFX50r which is 2.5k. Maybe I should go with the Leica since GFX might be too slow for me. I remember you mentioning about how Leica inspired you more - could you maybe elaborate on that if possible? Also, which camera did you end up keeping, if you do not mind me asking?
@@suzukitaka4470 I think the reason it inspired me so much is because it reminded me of the Leica Q and that camera was when I really made a break through in my style so it was somewhat sentimental feeling. Every lens I used was manual focus so it was really intentional when I photographed anything but if course the downfall was that I was using manual focus lenses. I ended up with 2 Sony A7iii, a 1 Sony A7IV and the X100V. The Sony cameras aren’t fun to use but they’re super reliable with their technology and they have sigma glass and that’s ultimately what I made my decision. Good glass, great tech and reliability which is super important when shooting weddings and moments I can’t recreate. with the GFX and the SL I found myself missing small things that frustrated me so I had to choose what was best for my business. If I personally could have another camera along side what I have now I’d go GFX but never as a main camera, the photos are unlike any digital camera I’ve used and I miss the photos from the GFX more than the Leica but I do like the tactility and feel of Leica better. Hope that helps
Great 👍🏼👍🏼😎

Great images. Do your enjoy the Leica more than the Fuji?
I enjoy shooting the Leica just because of the process and the simplicity really. Will never leave my Fujis but definitely like shooting the Leica
What lenses did you bring? :)
XT4 - 13mm, 18mm and 35mm
Leica - 28mm and 90mm
Which 28?

Thanks man, I actually just did a podcast that’s coming out soon that hits on my editing process. Has a lot to do with a personality trait.

It’s great. I shot with it yesterday. They made some really good decisions with this version that I approve of.
@@hunterhart1 awesome 🥹🥰, I’m thinking about to get one next to my x pro 3 🤔
