Nice EQ. A built in dynamic expander is a helpful asset. Don't care for the "paired" sliders, would prefer separate left and right channel grouping. My only caveat is a control set at 32kHz. It's pointless as human hearing slopes off around 15kHz. Maybe the dog can hear it but you won't. Twelve bands per channel is good if they range between 20-20kHz. I like the bidirectional dubbing feature. This Denon DE-70 seems to offer a great deal of flexibility and would be a handy tool in any hifi system. I have used an equalizer since 1978 and find mine essential to fine sound.

Sweet unit. Never seen an eq with dynamic range expansion. I used it often with a dbx unit I had.

I have this equalizer but having difficulty getting it work with my system.
Does it only work w a tape deck? Can you run it thru any audio device like a cd player output to the eq input and then out to the receiver cd input??

I noticed when you switched it from left to right channel, the left and right channel meters on the left side were both on. Why is that?

Because the selected channel L or R is fed to both outputs.
