Please don't thank a spiritual vampire who is amassing enormous wealth from your trusting nature, only to delude you completely. He describes reality fairly well, but listening to descriptions of reality has no value at all, and when you think it does, the descriptions become harmful, because you take them as fact without ever having perceived and understood the actual, which is the only thing that liberates. See how he has woven complacency and illusion into your mind and conditioned your brain to believe everything he says as fact and to think you have to practice. No - you have to see and understand what is, and that is not a practice. You do it naturally if or when you realize the importance of doing so. Tolle doesn't teach the importance of UNDERSTANDING at all. He teaches only to 'practice', i.e. to 'meditate', which brings in the meditator who makes real meditation impossible. Real meditation happens when we are observing what is because we seek to understand, to be aware, of what take place, because we see the importance of it. It will never happen any other way because that 'other way' is ego driven, energy profitable illusion. It profits the ego energetically but hijacts the movement from the free action of awareness and meditation and therefore destroys its healing action. Awareness is totally non-violent and won't correct you violently. So you can only discover the trap you are in and get yourself out of it. You have decided that Tolle's work is good, but I'm afraid, you are wrong. It is harming everyone who believes what he says, and that numbers into hundreds of millions of people. He has over $80 million of your money in the bank, by the way. It may be way more then that by now. Is that love, or is it obscene in a country where kids end up living in a car because their mum got cancer and couldn't afford the healthcare? Would love ever mimic all the worldly greed and comfort of the rest of the social and political and economic vampires destroying the Earth out of their blind greed? Please do ask yourself rationally. You can only trust awareness, what you can see. It shows only what is, as it is. It is never biased and you are always awareness and what is. So it's always there. How could a teacher help us find it? Only WE have to find it. And it is us. Thought is a mere happening in awareness - everything is a mere happening in awareness, even these words, even this world.

Maybe it can for some as our paths are so unique. For me they did the opposite. I became numb and severely ill on them. Unfortunately I have since learned that there are growing numbers of people suffering in silence from the effects of these drugs.
On the other hand, psych med injury and coming off of them has been a near death experience that lead to deepening the awakening that had started before this unfortunate detour. It wouldn’t have been my choice to awaken this way because I wouldn’t wish torturous conditions like akathisia to anyone, but I guess ultimately all paths lead to the same place - the true nature of our being.
Grateful to see Eckhart address this topic and sharing such great wisdom around it 💜🙏 I feel that we are in dire need of loving communities and awakened guidance. It breaks my heart that even little children are being medicated nowadays.

I was taking psychiatric medication for decades, and had never done ant spiritual work. I trained as an athlete and lived a very peaceful life to help maintain a balanced mind. One morning I experienced a huge awakening and experienced an instant ego death and could not swallow the medication that I had been taking daily. I was on over 20 tablets a day and suddenly I was choking when trying to swallow them. I had to stop taking them and experienced no withdrawal from this. I experienced a shift in consciousness overnight that connected me to the Zero point or the still point of now and this has a huge biological impact on your matter body that creates homeostasis and releases the perfect blend of hormones amongst many other wonderful healing benefits. I would not suggest anyone taking medication to suddenly stop as I did. I genuinely experienced an instant shift and a biological reset that enabled me to be free of medication. Awakening means becoming more conscious. Psychiatric problems arise because of unconscious impulses and behaviors that arise from the subconscious. Allowing uncomfortable feelings to arise without labeling them or judging them is an important aspect of awakening. It is often referred to as The Dark Night of the Soul. It doesn't mean you're sick. It means you're human.

A lot of diagnosis is about putting people into boxes instead of getting into their essence or understanding where they are coming from
    and how to help them.
There is no normal - how everyone should be. Because everyone is different. Everyone has their one set of unique features and how they view the world.
Find out your strength and help the world by showing that light to others. Dont hide your uniqueness because other people are scared of your light.

I came off them in September 2022 and to be honest deep down I am reverting back to my reductionist old self. I have woken up on a Sunday, ready to put my phone to the side and listen to Eckharts videos again. I want to full in love with life again.

We psychiatrist are diverse. I often suggest talk therapy, mindfulness, whole foods, sobriety and exercise as the first step for healing and then recommend medication if it might help. It's always up to the patient to decide if they want medicine but in extreme cases I sometimes encourage it.
If someone is severely mentally ill and doesn't want medicine I accept it fully but do feel sad as their lives can be tragic.

Very courages to ask that question. I also have been diagnosed with a mental condition, and I used to take medication. For me through meditation, crisis my consciousness awakened very quick and I somehow got paranoid and psychotic. At that time I wasn’t really aware of the essence of awakening and rather went on an ego trip. So yeah I can relate, what I experienced when I stopped taking the medication, was that my my awareness and sensitivity heightened very quickly again and even though I felt and still feel better I think doing it with a physician who is aware would have be the better idea. Hope this can help anyone.

I was briefly on an SSRI because I couldn’t handle my anxiety levels and it was a vicious cycle causing worse physical health causing worse mental health etc. I went on the medication during a period that I needed to study for and pass a career exam, then I went back off it and struggled mightily again. Then I met my wife and the stabilizing effect of a good partnership is what helps me feel very stable and safe in the world. If something happened to her I would probably be a mess again. So, can I experience awakening without the comforting, stabilizing presence of my wife? 😉 😜

Thank you, Eckhart! As a person that was raised LDS, that answer helped tremendously. I am in the middle of a family that thinks I have gone astray. I am seen as an apostate. I would love to hear your opinion about these kinds of organizations where one is taught that they are never worthy of so called “God’s blessings”unless they meet a certain criteria.

Same here, until I was 16. Never looked back. I now believe sin to be baseless, that we are all inherently innocent and cannot change this truth of our nature. And so it follows guilt as a false idea of condemnation. It's also a conscience based on an internalized authority from the outside. It is a belief and nothing more.
I believe life is not an assignment but an expression!.

The urge towards awakening is in every human being, but most are never exposed to an "Eckhart," or would be able to understand it if they were. So things like religions arise, always have and always will, because it's the only way people have to at least TRY to reach their divine source. At least they are trying to be close to God! Most aren't even doing that, in this culture. I wish you peace with your family.

  • @MakapoluEsq
    @MakapoluEsq 5 месяцев назад

I awakened and then had the internal tools necessary to realize that I no longer needed to rely on benzodiazepines, adderall, and even “natural medicines” like cannabis and kratom - all I needed to rely on was myself, nature, my dog, exercise and leaders in consciousness and spirituality like Eckhart Tolle. You can become dysfunctional for a while because your body needs time to adjust to new baseline, but it’s worth it.
