I agree 00%. It is one of the most beautiful art journal pages I've ever seen. Glad I stumbled on your page. I subscribed. Now I will have to watch your other vids. I feel a binge coming on! Kind regards, Helen in Alabama USA
Really enjoyed this video Grace... thank you! Looks like you had a lot of fun with this one! I don't find the sunbeams weird at all!☀️The natural light gives an interesting ambiance to the table top and also a better sense of place. Beautiful spread! Love the color palette. The patterns in the 13 Arts Vintage Summer Painted Papers Packet set are lovely. Also love the damask stencil. Thank you for the links and suggestions for certain products. This is the fourth video in a row I have watched this evening. I find your work and processes very interesting. A little binge watching!😁
OMG, this is exactly the process and the final look I am trying to master right now. Luckily, my artistic brain is at a spot where it can click on how to use the process as a guidance and work with what I have at hand. Otherwise, I would both go broke and drown in paper and ink. I am very much subscribed. Thank you!
Thanks so much! I’m desperately trying to master the more colourful Dina Wakley style art journaling, but I can’t do it 😂 the vintage neutral colours seems to be where my brain is happiest!
Such a beautiful art journal page. Love the quote as well. It definitely tied into the page very well. Great journal session as always. Thanks for sharing with us!
This is beautiful. I'm just starting to get into mixed media and am going to start an art journal. I was looking for inspiration and I certainly found it. Thankyou so muxg ❤
I never knew about using a water brush for tearing paper, thank you. I have, I know is a stupid question, do you make art journals just to look at? I mean, do they have a purpose or a theme of something to be remembered. I'm having one hell of a time trying to make a very small journal for my daughter-in-law. I wanted to decorated this little black journal and then give her space to journal. She just moved to KY for her fellowship and is newly pregnant and in a new house. I thought this would be a good place to post her memories and thoughts. Your work is just gorgeous. New sub.
Thanks for subbing! I personally don’t have any themes or purposes with my art journals - it’s just about the creative process for me. Then they’re simply nice to flip through when they’re done. My 2020 art journal you could say was slightly themed in that I was often making pages related to what was going on that year but that’s just how it happened rather than an actual plan.
Is someone able to explain why you start with a layer of gesso? I've seen other artists do this as well, and I'm curious to know the reasoning. Beautiful work!
It’s one of the Tim Holtz collage papers, I don’t know where in the world you are to provide a link, but it should be available anywhere that sells Tim Holtz products

Beautiful work!
It’s to prep the page for things you may add like paint or water.. it doesn’t leak through or curl . Even glue works better.
