Carnivals Terminal is in Long Beach right next to the Queen Mary. In fact they check you in at the old Spruce goose dome.

I wonder why the ship didn't embark from the regular cruise terminal in LA? There are two proper terminals there and that's where Navigator was docked.
Yep, saw Navigator of the Seas. Norwegian probably didn't want to pay for a real terminal.
@1AM1AM1 Videos Norwegian has docked the Breakaway class ships at the terminal in the past. My only thought is maybe the ship can't fit in the other berth and had to dock elsewhere. Given it's a one way cruise and the ship won't be returning, they probably gave Navigator priority since they're on a closed loop cruise. Again that's just a thought.
