A Delta Air Lines Boeing 757-200 registration N712TW, performing flight DAL1427 from New York John F. Kennedy International Airport (KJFK) to Portland International Airport (KPDX).

Best ATC: "We´ll do what ever you want." No frills, just maximum support.
What else are they supposed to do? It’s their job.
@@peasoup2980 Tell ATC what the emergency is, that's what! Why keep your problem a secret? Pilots and controllers work as a team and ATC needs the information to know what kind of equipment to roll.
@@MrSuzuki1187 atc is there to serve the emergency. This crew needed to say what the problem was, and ATCs job was to provide the clearances without delay. Atc doesn’t decide on what equipment to roll. They send it.
DAL1427 "We'd like to declare an emergency." Tower DAL1427, negative, emergency not available at this time."
“We’re getting some bad indications up here” is the secret airline code for “Shitter’s Full!!!” 😂
Someone buy a foam windscreen for that Delta Capt's mic
You got jokes right?
@@deltaairlinescaptain5912 hope this comment doesn't burn me in my DAL interview. "thanks but no thanks we saw that comment. NEXT"
You're not a "real" pilot unless the mic is almost being swallowed. Remember, loud and garbled is better than normal and articulate.
But he thinks he sounds cool. Let him alone.

Dal doesn’t do interviews, it’s an airline company and not Walmart
That was nice, simple.Thanks
Excellent ATC!
A good example of: "less talk, more work...!"
People give JFK ATC a lot of grief, but in an emergency situation there's no other airport team in the world I'd rather have supporting the plane I'm on.
What about Schiphol? You get a dedicated frequency all the way to the ground as soon as you utter the word "emergency" or "mayday". There are others doing this as well.
It awesome
New sub ! Liked 😊👍🙏
"pan pan pan" MSFS: "please expedite your climb 15,000 feet"
The 2020 too?
👍✈✈👍
I flew the 757-200 out of JFK for 15 years 2000-2015 for United, and I recognized the voices of the 2 approach controllers. They were always highly professional and competent. I am not surprised that the Delta crew never once told ATC what their problem was. I guess they felt what caused their emergency was nobody's business. Very UNprofessional.
Emergency is an emergency. Ur curious about what the problem is? Doesn’t matter, all emergencies are treated the same. Trucks roll regardless.
He said having instrumentation problems
Pretty doubtful that you were a crew member or you knew the crew of this flight
@@PPerSO well said
@@PPerSO No they are not!! Pilots need to tell ATC exactly WHY they are declaring an emergency. Why keep it a secret? Obviously, you are not a professional pilot.
Very professional
Pilot sounded like 100 years old.
Do your buddy a favor and tell him to take the mic away from his mouth.
Really poppin' the plosives. You'd think he could afford a Bose headset or something with that Delta salary.
probably donned an oxygen mask
@@wildwobby ya no
Do us a favor and keep your mouth shut
Would you rather him reach up and adjust his mic or keep his hands on the controls? Aviate, navigate, communicate. Literally the last in the line of priorities.
Pilot needs to spend some $ on a new boom headset.
We think it is your cheap hearing aid. Don’t be so stingy.
@@RLTtizME you got jokes
@@deltaairlinescaptain5912 I ammmmm the joke boy....Flyboy. I must say...you are a lucky dude scoring a job with Delta...after 20 years with Aerosucre. It can be done...and you did it. Bully!
@@RLTtizME
You really got jokes I must admit, just giving some credit to less fortunate
@@deltaairlinescaptain5912 Thanks Flyboy....btw...management would like you to cease pulling your official pilot hat down over your ears. It is bad optics and people are terrified that their pilot is an idiot.
Interesting that both pilots are communicating with ATC. Who's flying the plane?
Taking turns, I guess?
So usually the pilot flying takes the comms when the pilot monitoring reads the checklist. The duty is still usually the pilot monitoring and will respond to comms when there’s maybe a break in the checklist.
The AutoPilot from ‘Airplane’
@@jamessimms415 if they had instrument problems i’m gonna guess the autopilot wouldn’t be useful
@@Winglets68 it's a while different type of flying altogether
Prepare for approach? Does that mean dump all their fuel?
No, just load the approach in the fms, brief, checklists, talk to company, flight attendants, pax. Prob no need to dump fuel with such a light load.
757s don't dump fuel. It's an option only on 767s
757 can't dump fuel
What is Wilco?
@@vanessalang2018 will call, the pilots will call back to controller
This is like the third delta 757 mx incident in the past two weeks I think?! Wth is going on?
Delta has a lot of 757s. I'm sure they have an mx issue on one of them or another almost daily just because they have so many of them. The last Delta issue on this channel, though, was an A320, not a 757. Also, this particular incident was from January, not recent.
Because the planes are as old as some of the pilots flying them? Delta is a horrible airline.
@@robinsattahip2376 Age in your pilots is a good thing sweet pea. Experience is everything. Where have you been? 🤭🤡
@@robinsattahip2376 Delta is consistently among the top ranked North American airlines. Pilot age indicates experience. Please do not spew ignorance.

The departure controller's voice sounds familiar. He sounds like the controller during the TWA-800 shootdown by the Navy.
Oh, you mean he sounds like the controller during the TWA 800 center fuel tank explosion that was fairly conclusively determined to be ignited by the faulty fuel quantity indication system? Yeah probably not him, seeing as that was 26 years ago.
