I've both painted and seen a lot of OSL painted over the years. This is such a good example of OSL done on a warband scale. It's very convincing ambient lighting.
Thank you so much, Daniel!
Incredible! The shot of the minis from the green side really tricks the mind...had difficulty convincing mine that it was paint rather than light!
Thank you, Paul! Your pretty handy with some OSL yourself, so means a lot to hear it from you 😁
Superb stuff. Love the green glow. Like they're climbing out of a spooky crypt! Keep up the awesome work.
Thank you Will!!
This is killer!
Thank you!
It's like every time I think, "shit, I wish there was a better way to do this," you post a video on that topic. Please get out of my brain, I haven't cleaned in there in ages.
I might give this a shot. I love that blue. It looks like Pro Acryl Muted Blue. I wonder how well this would work on the Skaven Skittershank's Clawpack with all those pipes and sewer water. 😱
I'll be curious to hear how family game-time goes. I'm in a similar situation. I've gotten a couple of the Warhammer Quest Bookstore games just for this reason with some success so I think Underworlds will be the next step up.
Thanks again for the great tutorial! 👍
Thank you, Jonas!
A scheme like this is MADE for Skaven! Let me know how it goes :D
And yeah, I’ll drop an update on how the family takes to underworlds
Very cool!
Thanks!
Really nice lighting. I dig it. Kinda reminds me of stage lighting.
he said in an earlier video (i can't remember which one, maybe the color theory can be useful one?) that he did stage lighting as a profession in the past and i believe presently so you're spot on
Yup! I’ve worked as a theatrical lighting designer and a lighting engineer in theme parks and the like. I guess I can’t help being a little theatrical :D
Amazing work mate. Hope it went well on your game, maybe you coulc get them to do a rematch this year?
Looks fantastic, man! Congratulations!
What was the first green you used? Is it Molotow Future Green?
Thank you! I think the green was Mister Green? I’m away from my desk for a while and can’t check though 🫣
Green lit undead unite!
Skeletons and vampires and ghouls, oh my!
love this, will definitely be using this scheme for my cursed city boner boys
😂 Cheers, dicebot
"First you airbrush" *closes video*
lovely paint job! What's the name of the box set?
Cheers! It’s the underworlds Gnarlwood box :)
@@GRGMiniatures cool, thanks! :)
Do you use the hard body acrylic white because it flows better off the brush for highlights/thin lines?
Yeah,it's just an all round better white than 99% of hobby brands
@@GRGMiniatures might have to give it a whirl! Do you use much other colours in hard bodies or like more flowy artist brand paints? I see some of those golden hi flows in this video. Thinking of trying some of these types of paints myself. Would you ever make a video on using artist paints?
