This was very helpful. Fixing a friend's aborted repair from random parts found in the bed. And I've been scratching my head fer why I have two different fillers the same color. I wasnt sure if they needed to overlay each other or what. Its been driving me nuts. Thanks for taking the time to make this!
I have a 98 GMC Yukon SLT all stock. I want to convert the front grille to a Chevy. I ordered a 98 Chevy 1500 grille online but it does not line up. Do I need a different bumper filler? Basically, my question is....What do I need to make it fit properly?
The filler is the same whether Chevy or gmc. Aftermarket grilles sometimes don’t fit well, so finding an original factory grille in good condition is a better route to take. I’ve run into that problem before.
So I have a 88 obs. I changed the grill for a 94 style and what I noticed is that when I installed th new headlamps they don't have a place to screw them down and I had issues removing the grill and filler together. So do I need to change the radiator support and the bumper brackets so It can clear when I remove the grill . Or what should I do?
To be honest I’ve never messed with an 88 before but on my 90 I remember the filler piece had like 6 clips holding it to the grille and it was also screwed to the fender corner pieces. Changing the radiator support would fix all your issues but it is a lot of work. Did your headlights come with brackets?
Great info. Didn't see this mentioned on other videos. Thought I was losing my mind that the new grille wouldn't fit on my 88! Thank you!
You’re welcome

My grille has had a gap on the drivers side fender, started taking it apart and my filler piece has lost a screw and is not secured on that side 😂

How do you replace the bumper filler end pieces? (The pieces under the fender)
@@KingJasonOriginal Sorry for the late reply, but they’re held in place by two 7mm screws
So close to 100 subs 👏🏾

I have a 90 gmc and want to buy a 94 gmc grill how would I make that work
What's the difference in the corner pieces from early to late
The fitment where the center piece connects to the corner differs in the 1994-98 compared to the older 1988-93

@arodobs9745 Yes, the headlights came with brackets . My 88 is the same body style as the 90 .
@88-OBSMZ
@@Travelwithmagalysergio I think the 88-89 didn’t come with holes for the headlights. You went from glass headlights to the plastic, right?
@arodobs9745 yes sr.
So if put a 93 gmc grill on my 94 chevy it should fit no problem?
I have a 1993 ss grill
But my radiator support is a 1994 what filler would fit good
An 1988-93 filler fits best
Will a 91 grill fit a 98 tahoe?
Yes 👍
Will a 93 ss grill fit to a 96 k3500?
@@ivanestrada3814 yes 👍
@@arodobs thank you
