We are very blessed to have all our grandchildren living close enough we pick them up from school. We pick up the 8, 7, & 5 year old from school and we watch our 3.5 month old during the day while mommy and daddy work.
I’m absolutely loving this series! So many channels make canning and preserving videos but so few show what to do with it, how to cook with it once it’s put up. You guys make some great food. But it’s still normal, not fancy food that’s so approachable for many of us. Out of all your videos these are fast becoming my favorites! Thanks for sharing ❤️
I also have found myself consciously meal planning the last 2 weeks and pulling things out of the freezer and I think it's because of your videos! 2 solid weeks with meal plans and no eating out etc. I got some meat from butcher box and have been enjoying thinking of what I could do this week. THANK YOU!
I see no problem with eating Mexican food twice a week! Mexican is, hands down, my favorite. Sweet baby! My grandgirls live two miles away. I am definitely thankful for that.
I feel your nana heart's pain.....I live in Ohio and my sweet grandbabies are in Texas. I miss them so much and am thankful for this modern technology....I can see them in real time and it makes this nana's heart happy!!
I am so lucky, Rachel. All my grand babies live within 45 minutes of me and the baby(8months old) and his mom just moved in with me. He is such a doll! I’m in love! Thanks for sharing your meals with us!
We are going to be first time grandparents this August and our daughter lives 30 minutes away and I’m constantly wishing she would move closer or maybe we move close to her. I couldn’t imagine living any further away.
I have not been following you guys for a while, my heart and soul is currently with my fellow Slavs in Ukraine. Stay safe. Thinking of your family in the military.
Thank you so much for sharing your lives with us. In these hard, lonely Covid times you welcomed us and you make us feel like family. Thank you and God bless you both and your family too.
I use to work with kids and they told us not to encourage kids to sit that way any more (cross-legged) because it hurts your hips. We had them sit with legs out in front of them or knees bent.
My Grandpa cooked turtle stew every year. He cooked it outside in a big cast iron pot over a fire. We haven’t had it in years. I have his recipe if I ever wanted to make it.
You all are inspiring me. I've' never made anything with Schwarma before so I got some seasoning. I've got a beef roast seasoned in it and sitting overnight. Those spices smell so good!
I just came across your channel after trying to find a beef stock recipe. I am really enjoying your channel and LOVE your content. Looking forward to watching through your archives of videos. 😊
I love that you cook together. There was a time and my husband and our marriage when we cook together when it was just the two of us. We are currently raising two grandchildren so we don’t tend to cook together anymore. I miss that. It is a special time together. :)
I don't like jello, so I've been using the gelatin in my coffee. I add it to my milk in the bottom of my coffee cup (let it gel while the coffee is brewing) then pour the hot coffee over it. I get my gelatin without doing traditional jello.
Great series you guys! I love watching you all create these amazing dishes. Enjoy seeing the Grandbaby Rachel. I'm sure Todd will do an awesome job on entertaining us here on You Tube. Everything looked yummy!
I was watching this video today, when you made the pasta dish with beef n gravy I was craving beef n noodles so thank you for making that dish lol..I enjoy watching you two
A beef pot pie was what granny did with the Sunday roast left overs. She’d cut up the meat and whatever veggies were left, thicken the broth for gravy, pour it into a casserole pan and top with little canned biscuits…. YUMMY! You’ll love it, do try it.
We r doing the healthy jello from your inspiration. Kids like the apple juice version best. I don't know if anyone else has had issues with desolving the gelatin or settling. The latest version I tried I brought 2 cups of juice to boil, added 1/2 cup of gelatin to room temperature juice and mixed it well. Then added it to the boiling juice until desolved. And then the boiling mix to 2 more cups of room temperature juice. This resulted in the best version. Blessings, -kate
I so enjoy your videos, I learn to make something new by watching you both. The Grand baby is Precious, treasure your memories !!! we have 11 Grandchildren, abundantly blessed !!! ❤️ So much Love, our joy and Pride !!! 😍❤️✝️💟 Thank You for sharing these Awesome videos !!!
Loving the real-life, real-food videos! Got my gelatin and just made some pretty plum gelatin from home canned juice. Hubby and I both love it and hope we get some of those nice benefits too. I've got easy access to my grandbabies and definitely appreciate it. Just had a weekend babysitting gig while their parents got a small getaway trip. It was wonderful.
Awwww, the baby is so cute! Congratulations you guys! I’m one of the lucky ones, having all 3 of my grand babies fairly close. I’m still grateful for FaceTime, which we do almost every morning with my daughter’s little ones!
Todd try sprinkling baking soda on meat when doing asian before marinating. I found the Chinese restaurants do this & it works to really soften meat for stir frys & sesame chicken dishes
Being a Grandpatents is the cream of the crop in life. I have 3 grandsons and I would die for any of them just as would have for my children but it's different. Love your channel !!
Love your videos ! New subscriber from Australia 🦘 currently Saving for a big move to a huge property in another state with my 3 young kids and hubby I’ve loved watching your preservation ideas and gardens ! So much Inspiration ! Love both of your calm ways of communicating very much couple goals !
When I make orange chicken I sometimes just cook it on the stove no frying and I use orange marmalade in my sauce. It brings the orange taste more prominent. All the food look wonderful. Happy eating.
Your beef and noodles looked really good. I often enjoy meals like that more than the original I found that a double fry of chicken will keep a crisp texture, much like Korean beef is done. I really enjoy your videos like this. Thank you
You two are awesome!!! I sooo wish my boyfriend Todd would be so adventurous at eating new things and trying new dishes...hahahahaha 🤣 Have a great day!! 😊
You are SO right about the grands - I am a former Michigander who now lives in NW IA, and my grands are in Cali and Mich (GR) - it is TOUGH! And I still work FT so have limited PTO.
I got your hoodie a few weeks ago and I’m super happy with it! It washes great and it’s super comfy! I love it and love you guys! Thanks for all you do ☺️
Love watching you cooking. So many good ideas to try! I have also started the annual spring stick pick up. My little grandson thinks it is fun to help. He is almost three so I'm hoping I have a few more years of him still thinking it's fun. By then his little brother who is due in three weeks can step in. My two other grandchildren live close by but they are in school and activities so Sunday dinner is when I see them usually until the summer.
Hi Rachel and Todd. I eat what I have at home. I will get some take out tomorrow. Don't worry about what you will eat for dinner, I don't. I make rice and mix some scrambled eggs together and that is a meal. Beans, corn and rice is also good. God Bless you Rachel & Todd. Take your time with dinner when you get back. Maria. 🙏🙏🙏🙏😋😋😋😇😇😇😇👍👍👍👍❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️👍👍👍👍👍
Your meals look so good. I love how you plan the weeks meals. Such a great idea. However, with just me here I have some leftovers and can't do as many as you do. It does give me ideas on what to make though. This week I am going to be making some Memphis style BBQ sauce. I couldn't find the Louisiana hot sauce in our local stores, so going to be using Buffalo Hot Sauce. I am sure it will still be great though. Today, we've been having heavy rain and high winds here south of Buffalo, N.Y. I do can a lot, but nice to see your starter canning videos Canning from store bought things. So, I did venture out, but couldn't find those #10 cans. Keep the videos up, always enjoy what you're making for meals after you canned.
My great grandmother made a black cherry jello with little balls of cream cheese in it. Most delicious. My daughter in law from Kenya makes Ugali and chapatis. Spicy and tasty. Kenyan stew and Matoke.
I just love listening to you guys visiting and catching up! Everything you make always looks so yummy! I do want to put a bib on your hubbys beard! 😂 Until next time! 💕
We are very blessed to have all our grandchildren living close enough we pick them up from school. We pick up the 8, 7, & 5 year old from school and we watch our 3.5 month old during the day while mommy and daddy work.

You are right, Marie. They do show how to use their stored reserves. I appreciate that also!
I can't tell you how much I enjoy this series you've been doing! So glad you kept it going.
Thanks Rachel & Todd for sharing with me and teaching me a new way of living it’s helpful to a Senior 5-16-2022👍🏽👍🏽♥️., Your Grandbaby is Adorable 😊

I wish my husband would cook and clean
I am so lucky, Rachel. All my grand babies live within 45 minutes of me and the baby(8months old) and his mom just moved in with me. He is such a doll! I’m in love! Thanks for sharing your meals with us!

You two are so sweet. Thank you for sharing
I just love this series. So glad you've kept filming them.
The noddles and beef look good! It's making me hungry.
We are going to be first time grandparents this August and our daughter lives 30 minutes away and I’m constantly wishing she would move closer or maybe we move close to her. I couldn’t imagine living any further away.
Use straight starch and fry. Use corn, potato, arrow root or mung bean starch. Or fry the way you fried, pull it out and fry it again (double fry).
Going back in time watching what i missed 😅 love your channel!
Your hard work becomes my relaxation . Thank you so much 😊
Just keep making these. I really enjoy them!
Enjoy
I use to work with kids and they told us not to encourage kids to sit that way any more (cross-legged) because it hurts your hips. We had them sit with legs out in front of them or knees bent.
That orange chicken looks good! You could totally can that up too
Thanks guys! Enjoyed it!
My Grandpa cooked turtle stew every year. He cooked it outside in a big cast iron pot over a fire. We haven’t had it in years. I have his recipe if I ever wanted to make it.
Listening and watching your weekly cooking videos is so relaxing to me for some reason. Have fun on your trip to see the grand Baby :):)
Looks yummy if you cook it twice it tends to hold its crispness. You both are awesome!
I am also a placebo effect person. After I've made a change for a few days I've become convinced that everything is a result of that change. 🤣
Yum
I love it when my husband cooks. He mostly does grilling and on the black stone . I much prefer baking .
You all are inspiring me. I've' never made anything with Schwarma before so I got some seasoning. I've got a beef roast seasoned in it and sitting overnight. Those spices smell so good!
I look forward to these each week!!! LOVE, LOVE that you are doing these weekly!!
When I do deep fry foods I use my 7 qt or 4 gt cast iron porceline Dutch ovens.work awesome an keep heat right on the money!!
I just came across your channel after trying to find a beef stock recipe. I am really enjoying your channel and LOVE your content. Looking forward to watching through your archives of videos. 😊
Thank you for inviting us to your table. You are both good teachers.
I love that you cook together. There was a time and my husband and our marriage when we cook together when it was just the two of us. We are currently raising two grandchildren so we don’t tend to cook together anymore. I miss that. It is a special time together. :)
