Interesting to see the difference that rails on top made. Thanks for posting the results.

Sure does get hot in ABS chambers. And they really do help on the big 350 voron builds.

Have a check of your magnetic surface, and give the corners a bit of a roll when hot with a wallpaper seam roller and this may reduce your corner heights a little, another hack for getting low spots just that little bit higher when cold is painters masking tape in the low sections which can help your variances when cold thus reducing the variances when hot.

I have 2 extra MGN9 rails (because I was building the 2.4r1 originally) and now I have the 2.4r2 with the MGN12 rail on the X-extrusion. I think I'll use my extra rails on the Y-extrusions like you did after I get everything working and get a baseline.

Awesome video 👍. I would like to see you do something for the Sherman Max bars ✌️ Keep it wheel ✌️

So the bed is technically always flat but when the chamber heats up the rails move and adjust slightly then that throws off the distance from the head to the bed?

So many variable that impacts bed height.
Mgn rail, frame, rails, bed, heat.
I recently rebuild the x axis and carbon frame. The bed shape is inverted now. 0.2 variance.

@@jc84com does the voron compensate for this? Or is it too small of an amount? I’m looking to print high quality high precision parts in high temp materials and things like this intrigue me - I think I’m going to build a voron

@@user-jt3nf7in5w it's a great printer. Comes down to what you spend and how you build with how good the printer will be.
Yes the bed mesh is compensated for
Over a 350mm distance the variance is 0.23mm on my printer. that's a 0.06% of variation.
vez3d channel makes a amazing printer too,

It's a mod to improve a level bed.
There is a massive mod community on the voron GIT.
So many mods that make the printer better
I'll be making a video on my printer and the changes I've made.
