I really really love it that Dianna Riggs, after a long career and in the the twilight of life got to have a role like this and in her very last scene got to deliver a line so epic that will be remembered for decades if not all time. "Tell Circe, I want her to know it was me"
Oh, well that means my reaction was accurate! For some reason on the version I used for this video edit it said high! I thought he said high when I was filming it so was well confused ahahah!
Honestly, she probably got the kindest death in the entire show 😂 And she made it to a pretty good age before it happened. And was even able to get one last spit in their eye before going. As sad as I was to see her go, for these reasons I found it less devastating than others and actually left with a sense of satisfaction despite her being one of my favorite characters.
I generally agree with you Hannah about Littlefinger but the advice he gave to Sansa at 19:27 is BY FAR the best, most intelligent quote/piece of advice Littlefinger has ever given on the show, not only to Sansa but to audiences as well. "Everyone is your friend, everyone is your enemy. Every possible series of events is happening all at once. Live that way and nothing will ever surprise you, everything that happens will be something that you've seen before." This is also very relevant to the ending and moral of Game of Thrones.
Olenna is the very definition of facing death with dignity. She was calm, she was measured and she didnt hesitate to drink the wine. And most importantly, she got off a final barb when it was too late to take back that mercy. She took his mercy and threw it back in Jaime's face. The Queen of Thorns until the very end.
26:17 is a big part of the reason I love your reactions so much; the emotion you emit is so infectious and authentic, it almost feels like I'm watching the episode again for the first time. Great reaction as always, can't wait to see the next one! 🤍
Always a joy to watch your reactions! I'm glad that you still took your time to record despite everything that's going on :). And glad, you had a great time! May the good times go on, Cheers 🍻
Four and a half to five hours is "quite a long journey?" You Brits are so dang adorable, I could just hug yer neck! Oh, and I love your farm fresh peaches, too!
You should check out Olenna - Dianna Rig in her sixties spy show called The Avengers. It's part of the idea where Austin Power's came from in the mind of the 60's spy. You and Ash could have a blast as them for a costume. They were on re-runs on public television when I was a kid and I had a huge crush on her.
The true elderly on this show knew how to go out. Maester Amon just lived his best life until he lived so long time ran out. Olenna went out telling everyone to eat shit go fuck themselves. Both are inspirations on how to depart this world.
Wow, you have been busy, Hannah. Thank you for dropping this reedited reaction. Lady Olenna went down like a real Boss. Poor Tyrion had no idea Casterly Rock completely ran out of gold years ago. Cersei and Jamie used Casterly Rock as bait. Now the unsullied lost their ships and will have to make a long march across the land.
Olenna was very old and experienced. She lived under Maekar, Aegon, Jaehaerys, Aerys Targaryen and Robert, Joffrey, Tommen and Cersei Baratheon/Lannister. One of the coolest characters
Dragging Ellaria Sand through the streets of kings landing and throwing her at Cersei's feet, was the one moment of this series, i liked Euron 😂 And one of three moments in this series, i was genuine happy for Cersei 😄👍🏼 Perfect punishment 👌🏼😌
Seems like she had a little glitch somewhere...Almost 40 of us got to see this the day before the premier. Video was still marked as "unlisted" even .;) She fixed it after 3-4 hours...
8:23 It's crazy, cause in season 1 Ned strictly spoke out against sending more assassins after Dany, after Dany married Drogo and got pregnant. That's literally the reason he resigned as hand in season 1, because he didn't want to take part in the killing of Dany.
That they made Danny so completely oblivious of the White Walkers in the show really grinds my gears to this day. Her destiny is set up to face these things eventually, and she has already been having premonitions in the books. Why would they make it to where they have to convince so hard that these things are real 😭😭😭
@rachelmorris2254 correct. Oberyn knew what he was getting into against Gregor and signed up for it. Myrcella never had a choice and even fell in love with Ellaria's in-law cousin and respected their house.
I know most Littlefinger scenes you just got to roll your eyes at and assume everything he says is BS manipulation. BUT you have to admit in that scene with Sansa, his advice was genuinely good. He was basically telling her to always be on guard and to never trust anyone, which realistically would apply to him as well.
That has GOT to be the most disconcerting thing....a dragon skims your head....you drop to the ground, and all of those who live there are unphased, and one says, "their mother is waiting for you."
I think people agreeing with Cersei's revenge in this episode are missing a very important detail. She didn’t give the girl the exact same poison that her daughter had...if she did then I could be happy with the revenge, but the doctor loves his experiments and the poison is probably going to be worse than what Cersei's daughter experienced. That's why Jamie mad sure the one they gave Olenna was painless.
I just learned that "fortnight" = "fourteen nights." I thought it was about a fort or fortress (now I gotta learn fort vs fortress... Large forts = fortress Small forts = fortalices Generally: Fortifications
Admitting she was behind Joffrey’s poisoning isn’t “playing him” lol Playing him would be while they were talking another army came up and attacked Jamie’s army. All she did was give him the truth lol
well she did because if she told him or cersei before she killed joffery she would have gotten a worse death she took the wine and then told them and it wouldn't matter what he'd do because she was dying anyway so she got out of a painful/shameful death tbh
@ Not really because Jamie talked Cersei out of killing Olenna horribly.. Olenna didnt do any of that.. she didn’t play him at all, she’d already accepted she was going to die
Olenna was top tier to the very end. What a boss! Great reaction, Hannah! ❤

I was sick at Olenna's demise but was so ecstatic at how fabulously she went out....spitting fire to the very last! 🔥🔥🔥
Olenna was the best card player ever. She kept that 🃏 until the very end.
If that scene had a Rock soundtrack, it would be Motorhead.
RIP Queen of Thorns!, Olenna Tyrell. Went out with guns blazing like a G!
R.I.P. Lady Olenna and R.I.P. Diana Rigg who played her. One of Britain's finest ever actors, and a total legend!

Olenna is the GOAT. "Tell Cersei, I want her to know it was me" was such a bad*ss way to go out.
AGREED. And what a surprise it was her who poisoned that little-CRAZY-king,so-SWEET. LOL. LOVED it.

Olenna goes out with a Bang!!!! 😂 A Epic Mic Drop! It was her that killed that Boy King fool! Mohaha 🎉🔥🐲⚔️
That is why she gulped the poison as quickly as possible, so that Jamie couldn't go back on that method

Cersei was right in this revenge against Sand. I tip my cap to her. Only time ever
An eye for an eye. I sympathize with Ellaria’s grief but Oberyn never would have wanted that to happen to Myrcella, she was an innocent.
@rachelmorris2254 correct. Oberyn knew what he was getting into against Gregor and signed up for it. Myrcella never had a choice and even fell in love with Ellaria's in-law cousin and respected their house.
Honestly Cersei slayed with those sand girls. Myrcella didn’t deserve what they did to her and honestly their deaths were satisfying to watch 🤷♀️
absolutely. And for what they did to Oberon's brother and nephew.

When Theon says he tried, he means he was battling it in his head, but the trauma got the better of him, so technically he did try, just very badly
