Invest to Prevent: Addressing Gender-Based Violence in Afghan Communities in Pakistan

Gender-based violence (GBV) is a troubling reality for women and girls, particularly in crisis settings where they are disproportionately impacted.
To address and mitigate the risks of GBV, IOM Pakistan and its partners have established women and girls friendly spaces (WGFS), GBV case management services, and trained Community Outreach Volunteers (COVs) from the Afghan community to conduct awareness-raising sessions on GBV for both Afghan and host communities in Pakistan.
