- Helvetic Trip Report onboard the New Embraer E2 from Zurich to Vienna on a warm summer afternoon.
The first Helvetic Embraer E2 Trip Report on RUclips. There are some takeoff and landing videos of this plane but this is the very first full Trip Report of the Helvetic Embraer E2.
The New Embraer E2 is a very nice plane. Extremely silent and comfortable as all the new generation airplanes. However, it has the same "problem" as almost Embraer jets: the windows are misaligned with the seats. In my case, I probably chose the worst aligned one. This was, by far, the most difficult video to record in the whole channel.

The black airside facade of the Vienna airport is special. Airports are the gate to a country (or city if it is a big country) as well as the business card. That's why I like to see airports from different countries.

Nice video as always ❤️ You did a great job with recording in that bad agle. Just a small correction of your subtitles, that other Helvetic Embraer I saw during the pushback is basic Embraer 190, not the E-2. You can simply recognize between them when you look at the winglets ☺️

Excellent filming in difficult conditions!
This was much better than my experience on the E290 from Munich to Flesland last year on Wideroe,they added more seats in the E2 cabin which made the legroom extremely tight and completely ruined the passenger experience.

Awesome videos! Such a stylish cabin, but the problem with the E190 E2 is definitely the location of the windows compared to the seats. It's the same thing on Widerøe's planes unfortunately. =(
The E2 Jet looks great! It looks a lot more modern than the previous E190 aircraft. Although I see they still feature the widely spaced windows. This really makes it difficult to photo or film on a lot of seats, unless you are lucky to get a perfectly aligned seat. I really don’t understand why they are so spaced out. Looking to forward to trying the E2 in the future. You should give Wideroe a try!✈️
I really enjoyed the trip. I think the E2 is a great plane... but as you've said, the window-seat config is terrible...
I will try Winderoe once all this pandemic is more controlled or at least the quearantine rules are reduced...😐
@@OnBoardHD i tried Wideroe on MUC-BGO...It was good but they have a very dense config of 114pax which is the max on an E-190..That means knee-crunching seating..thank God i am not very tall

Flama el vídeo 🔥💪🏻 Nos hacen falta más aviones modernos como el E190 E2. Me encanta el sonido de los motores en el crucero. Aunque, sí durante el despegue sería más ameno escuchar motores más ruidosos como CFM-56. 😋 Echo de menos volar porque el último vuelo que hice fue en marzo 😞 De ahí que espera que pueda volar pronto 🌅 ✈️ Saludos 🥂

Totalmente de acuerdo... de hecho, es algo que le ocurre a todos los aviones con motores de nueva generación: so un placer en crucero por el bajo ruido... pero al despegue se echa de menos el rugido!! :D

Si no fuese por la pandemia este año habría ya volado con ellos seguro! Espero poder hacerlo pronto!
Mi intención es llegar a Tenerife o Gran Canaria en el E2 y luego hace un vuelo inter-islas en uno de sus ATR... veremos cuando será posible... :)

Gosh, I remember in the old days (2019) Helvetic used to do a summer programme, Zurich to Inverness July to September, many friends used the service.
If your not Swiss or Edelweiss, they often make you depart from the shorter bumpy 28, so the filming is cool Lusac.
On a plus side, you got some amazing view of the field on the climb out. Music choice was epic too.
I remember when they were still flying the Fokker 100! But at that moment the channel was a lot smaller and I couldn't afford a ticket on it 😅
At least now we have the E2 as the first Trip Report on RUclips 😎✈
@@OnBoardHD Indeed, their first flight to Inverness was a Fokker 100, maybe about 8 years ago.

Lots of captions interesting captions, though some may not be needed such as “taking off” and “climbing to cruise level.”
What is this form to enter Austria? Hope it’s only during COVID. I visit couple of times a year (before pandemic) and would hate to have to fill forms.

The take off one is to confirm the takeoff runway.
The climbing to cruise level I just use it when I see too many clips witjout any text 😉✈
The form is just a locator form in case somebody that was sat next to you on the plane becomes positive for COVID. They would call you to make a test.

Excelente vuelo en una de las primeras unidades entregadas en europa de los E190-E2!!!! Lo que sigo pensando es que estos aviones de Embraer no fueron diseñados para los fans de la aviación que les gusta grabar sus vuelos pero en fin......... Como bien pudiste darte cuenta, este avión es el orgulloso usuario de los supereficientes motores P&W PW1100-G de los Airbus A220 y A320 Neo, por eso tanto silencio en la cabina y que tal te parece este avion del gigante brasilero? La verdad es que fue de los vídeos más sufridos para grabar. Acabé con dolor de brazos, literalmente, pero creo que el resultado final ha merecido mucho la pena! :)

You really should fly on board one of LOT's Embraers! Their interior looks like one big bussiness class and the seats are very comfy.

Sorry, I’m late I forgot to watch some more flight trip reports, now watching those again, so I’m 2 weeks late :/. But, that plane, looks so good outside, and inside, but the windows... they’re terrible on alignment, I don’t see any economic benefit from it, nor safety benefit. No, there's no such app. You need an internet connection. I recommend you FR24.

That's impossible by definition of what is an app... 😅
The only function that is available without connection is the GPS, and it's only useful if you've downloaded the maps previously.
Que hermoso avión, realmente la Empresa Embraer ha hecho un gran trabajo con esta línea de jets regionales. Bonito trip, lamentablemente, eso de los asientos a veces se vuelve al azar lo que te va a tocar, por mas que a veces veas páginas como seatguru u otras para asegurar una buena posición para grabar, dímelo a mi que muchas veces me ha sacado el premio para elegir malos asientos jajaja!!: Linda ruta, el año antepasado hice esa misma ruta al revés, desde Viena viajé a Zürich en un A320 de Austrian. Que suerte mi amigo por probar un avión nuevecito de paquete, que suerte!! Saludos desde Chile.
PD: Gran detalle Lucas la imagen inicial al logo "Zurich Flughafen" clásica foto, todos los amantes de la aviación que han pisado "deben" sacar esa foto jajajaja !!!. ¿Has visitado el Observation Deck de Zurich?, es genial, ojalá hayas tenido tiempo para mirar y hacer planespotting alguna vez. Lo cierto es que nunca tuve tiempo de ir a la terraza de Zurich. Siempre tuve conexiones bastante cortas... y esta vez fue igual. No obstante, no se si ahora mismo estará abierta con las restricciones del COVID...
Respecto a la ruta Viena-Zurich, la voy a grabar este miércoles que viene! Jeje Con Austrian también! Pero en el turbohélice Dash8!

@@OnBoardHD I'm a Rampagent/Dispatcher at Schiphol for the LH-group and had the honor of handling the very first Flight of HB-AZG last February 28 :D (ZRH-AMS-ZRH). I was amazed how extremely new it was and smelled (new aircraft never smell nice ;P )

Other than the window alignment the E2 looks like a great ride. I'm surprised it hasn't sold better than it has. I only know of 3 airlines that have ordered the type with no American airlines having ordered the type. The A220 has done significantly better even with its slow start. AC and B6 are using it to replace their 190s with DL using the type mainline. I'm curious as to why existing 190 customers have shown such little interest in the E2. With so many 175 still being delivered I wonder how a 175 E2 would do. Especially in North America.
I do agree with you. I wonder why the airlines didn't decide to update their fleets...
However, from a pax point of view, I prefer the A220.

In 5:10 it's actually E1 not E2. You can easily recognize it by the winglets ;)

El problema con los Embraeres es que las ventanas casi nunca están alineadas con los asientos.
Te dejo una sugerencia. Vuele a Ponta Delgada (PDL), una ciudad en un grupo de nueve hermosas islas.
Ryanair vuela directamente a esta ciudad desde Oporto y Lisboa y también ofrece una opción de vuelo con escala a varias ciudades europeas.
Hice BCN-PDL vía Porto con ryanair y me fue muy bien.
También hay Azores Airlines que vuela directamente a Frankfurt, Porto, Lisboa en Europa.
Otra opción es el peor aeropuerto portugués a nivel de viento. Funchal, en la isla de Madeira. No hay posibilidad de hacer escala en Europa y los precios son mucho más altos ...
¡Los portugueses que siguen tu canal esperan tu visita pronto! :D

Excelente video. Una pregunta. Después de ver winglets enorme en los otros modelos, porqué este diseño minimalista en los winglets ¿es mejor? Saludos desde la Ciudad de México.
Depende del diseño del ala.

Resumiendo mucho, que el ala termine en una puntita muy pequeña es lo más eficiente (de ahi que así sean en los aviones de nuevo diseño).
Para los aviones más antiguos cuyas alas no terminan en punta, como a320, 737... los winglets son la unica opción.
Si bien, parece que Airbus encontró una alternativa con un winglets más aerodinámico en su A350.

This trip was part of a 4 flights trip, so I don't know the price of this flight alone. Purchased one way and only this flight... maybe 80 €uro? 100 €uro?
All my trip together was around 180 €uro.

This was my first time on the Helvetic E2 so I didn't have any reference for the seats. Also, as there were no Trip Reports of this plane on RUclips I couldn't see the cabin either...

Hola Las ventanillas del e2 no quedan como contiguo a los asientos como en el a220. Es el avión o mala suerte.
Es el diseño del avión me temo... las ventanillas están demasiado separadas unas de otras, de modo que o los asientos estan perfectamente alineados u ocurre lo que ocurre en este vídeo... 😐😔

Don’t looks comfortable the seat, however the plane ✈️ seems quiet, I don’t know if you suppress the sound but even at take off seems quiet
It was quite comfortable, to be honest... but the point is that almost every window on this plane is missaligned with the seats.. =(

I'm not doing that route anytime soon... however... next week I will be flying from Amsterdam to London on the BA B787 ;-)
Flew it twice, don't like it. Will always choose the A220 over it. Much more comfortable in just about every aspect.
I also prefer the A220 to be honest 👌
