@@greatflyer_aviation not because a220 is not good, but just in term of listed price, Embraer E2 is lower which is good for airlines. Among that, as both of them using same PW engines (different versions) but E2 has better aerodynamic design which helps them to claim the most efficient single aisle aircraft. (lower emission and lowest levels of external noise). Last but not least, it still has the performance for some special airports required steep approach like London city airport.
I was flying the E2 from Helvetic in 2021 two times between Zürich and Düsseldorf. From cabine noise side I would say the E2 is more quiet natn the A-220 but not as quiet as the A-320/321 neo. But the leg room in the E2 is not that good. It was realy narrow. But the difference to the ofd E1 is really big and makes the E2 much more comfortable.

I think the A220-100, the one who the E-195-E2 competes with, is better at some aspects, like range and capacity. For a comercial perspective, the E2 is not called profit hunter for nothing, its fuel economy and in general is much cheaper to mantain. Thats why some small companies are just growing faster than expected operating this plane, like Porter in Canada. By a passenger perspective its all about people, personal tastes and company services.
the A220 should not be classified as a regional aircraft. Its capacity is very close to the A319 or B737-700 and has a range beyond regional. the Embraer E-Jets are truly regional aircraft.
I found their seat pitch to be quite tight being 5′ 11″ or 180cm. Seats not the most comfortable with no headrest. As a passenger on air Canada's config, quite comfortable, but window alignment on some airline configurations can be quite off. I actually don't like its window spacing.
220 would not be around if it was not subsidized by someone, Bombardier / Lear, just continue building trains for Chicago, no more airplanes, get over it!
I for one of a great many people in the world, are extremely happy that Boeing won't be subsidising anything or tarnishing Jack from the great Embraer entity. Nooo need to stifle healthy competition and for it to go the way of Bombardier thanks to the AIRBUS situation. Embraer is doing just fine independently as it is and for what manufacture it will eventually evolve into! I would rather see a brighter aviation competition in the industry from EMBRAER under its own historic legacies/ Values & Banner alongside COMAC competing against the big 2!. AIRBUS/ BOEING/ EMBRAER/ COMAC. & The Russians, if they can sort them selfs out anytime soon! Verry Soon, there will be the BIG 4 manufacturers, maybe 5! If Russia can come to the table with its fowl attitudes with global issues/ SPECIAL OPPERATION & Resulting continued Sanctions..

E2 in sales, A220 in PAX, pilot and crew comfort. The A220 being the more premium choice and my favorite out of the two
The E2s are more eco-friendly without any seats in the middle and they are also the quietest planes in the world, I would go with the E2s.

Both are very comfortable. Embraer is better engineered with higher fuel efficiency, the A220 has longer range. I would go with Embraer.

I can agree that the E2 is a huge upgrade from the E190! Yet the hatbins were still of classic design, whereas in the A220 they are very spacious.
