- SAS Trip Report from Copenhagen to Warsaw, onboard one of the Scandinavian Airlines Mitsubishi CRJ900 on a nice summer afternoon.
A nice and short flight with SAS from Copenhagen to Warsaw. Due to the current pandemic, there was no service on board, but in this case, the crew was paying attention to the passengers. I felt very comfortable on this SAS flight.
The plane, a Mitsubishi CRJ900, formerly Bombardier CRJ900, was quite new (compared to the mean age you can find in Europe). Mitsubishi bought recently all the CRJ program from Bombardier and now all CRJ200 to CRJ1000 line is called Mitsubishi CRJ.
Both the takeoff in Copenhagen as well as the approach into Warsaw were fantastic with some very nice views. I think you'll enjoy this short hop across the Baltic sea.

I flew from Copenhagen on the exact same SAS CRJ 900 (same registration and all) a few months ago. Great video!
From this aircaft, even the B737 or A320 looks huge :D Feels like you are sitting in a sportscar, or at least I had this feeling with these type of aircafts.

KCPH is my favorite airport! A Mitsubishi passenger jet. Cool! Thanks for the upload which was, as usual, great!! I have flown with Scandinavian Airlines many times from the United States to Copenhagen. That was usually with the Airbus a 330-343. They have since switched over to the Airbus A350-900 series. I really like SAS and I cannot wait to fly on the new Airbus A350 between Newark,NJ and Copenhagen. 👍👍

Siempre se aprende algo nuevo!!!! Tenía por entendido que la serie de aviones CRJ era construido por Bombardier pero investigando un poco, vi que Mitsubishi Heavy Industries ahora se encarga por completo del proyecto CRJ!!!! Excelete!!!!
Así es! Mitsubishi los compró en Mayo de este año a Bombardier.
Bombardier se está deshaciendo de todas sus líneas por lo que veo... primero el CS100/CS300, ahora los CRJ... veremos si no venden también la línea del Dash. Aunque para esta quizás no haya tantos compradores interesados...

Great Flight Report as always! The CRJ is a nice aircraft to fly on and it looks good in the SAS Livery. It will be interesting to see them painted in the new livery in the future. ✈️

La verdad es que fue uno de esos vuelos de los que no se espera gran cosa, al ser gran parte sobre el mar báltico... pero estuvo repletito de buenas vistas. Y el atardecer durante la aproximación... puso la guinda.

Por cierto como algo personal, ese tipo de aviones con esa posición de los motores, siempre me ha dado desconfianza y siempre he tenido la impresión que son los mas propensos a accidentes por la aerodinámica en la que para mi influye mucho la posición de los dos o tres motores. un abrazo.

Hi when you was taxing there was two planes with Thomas cook livery what was that airline ?
Thomas Cook was a packet-travel agency.
In Scandinavia you can follow it back to Tjaereborg/Spies, which were among the first, to send Scandinavians to sunny destinations, as far as back in the late 1950's.
Spies was named after the owner, who was a colorful person. He was always able to create attention for his company. Eg always 3 girlfrends age 15-20, at one time, changing them everey 10-20 week. Public drunk. Public sex. Using his 707 jets to go on holliday, just him and 25-50 people, for months. He died 1984, leaving the agency to his twenty year old wife. 5 planes, almost, 1000 employes. No debt.
15 years later the widow sold a cribeld company to the British travelagency, Thomas Cook, (And Condor in Germany).
In 2019 Thomas Cook went bankrupt.
The scandinavien part was sold to the Norwegian buisinessman Petter Stordalen, and still have the Thomas Cook livery.

I know the CRJ as part from the bombardier CRJ family, but Mitsubishi too?
Es increíble como en todas partes existen medidas para evitar contagios menos en los buses de traslado desde el avión a la terminal.
Jaaj Es cierto... si bien es verdad que ahora se mete menos gente en los buses dentro del aeropuerto... creo que podrían mejorar ese aspecto. Aunque también es cierto que no debería ser un problema si todos van con mascarilla bien puesta...

Quite frequent, yep :)
I flew on SAS from Newark to Stockholm, then Stockholm to Saint Petersburg, Russia. On the way back it was Saint Petersburg to Stockholm again, and then onwards to Chicago. Very nice Nordic airline. Saint Petersburg is it's only Russian destination, I believe.

Moscow was served with Singapore Airlines codeshare Stockholm-Moscow-Singapore, they’re both Star Alliance members :)
It's a Bombardier... at least that's what they were called when delivered to SAS!
Well, Bombardier sold the CRJ series to Mitsubishi this year... so now it's a Mitsubishi CRJ.
Ótimo vídeo. Sobre a SAS e o Brasil: "Começou a voar para o Brasil em 1946. Ao longo dos anos, o avião foi substituído pelo Douglas DC-6, e depois pelo DC-7. Na era do jato, operou o quadrijato DC-8, o trijato DC-10-30F e em 1990 introduziu a inédita rota Copenhague - Guarulhos. Esta rota era feita com o então novo Boeing 767-200ER. Mas foram poucos voos, já que a empresa encerrou as operações para a América do Sul no ano seguinte, dada a disparada do petróleo, após a Invasão do Kuwait. O último vôo Copenhague x São Paulo Guarulhos ocorreu em 1991.

Another top quality trip report from OnBoardHD. I look forward to watching every single one ;-) Now for the negative comment, I think it is unacceptable for any airline to not offer water on a flight, Covid or no Covid ;-(. If I was travelling on a route which included SAS and I had a choice of x 2 airlines, I would choose the other airline who were possibly offering this service. How can other Star Alliance airlines such as Austrian Airlines offer OnBoardHD the best morning breakfast he has eaten on any European airline and SAS cannot even bother to give passengers water ?? If I was travelling with SAS I would certainly rate them as Very Bad Service ;-(

Another pretty sunset. I think there are a few more people around hopefully. Amazes me, as in the video, how many wear their mask below their noses. What’s the point. Hope the subscriptions are on the increase. I think just subscribe is misleading. Subscribe usually means to pay, as with magazine’s etc for the following years issues, the same with society’s, clubs and the like. My view is u-tube should make it clear by stating FREE subscription. I have spoken to a few people who are under the impression that they will be charged. Unfortunately my daughter was one of them.

You should only fly SAS, if you get some really cheap tickets. If you think of them as a low cost airline, they are ok

I went with SAS once from Sweden to Faro in Portugal (about 4hr flight) and how surprised I was then we weren't even offered a glass of water while LOT offers you a bottle of water, a sweet bun and some peanuts or chocolate bar even on 30min domestic flights... weird and really disappointing, this is not some cheap airline, but they act cheap af
I agree with you. Before flying with SAS I was expecting a lot more from them... especially for the crazy prices that they usually have. The service is worse than low-cost one...
