Watching Flea Market Madness in 2019 - "Wow I wish I could find deals like that" Watching Flea Market Madness in 2020 - "Wow I wish I could go outside"
Aint that the truth. Flea Market Madness was a major inspiration for my own flea market and thrift store adventures, and in all of 2020, I think I picked like three games total, and all of those for PS3.
I've been watching these flea market madness videos since I was 9! Been missing the theme song and Frank. I'm 20 now, and this really brings me back. Love the videos Pat.
I actually met pat at this flea market. The prices now are crazy although I occasionally find some gems. I got smt record breaker on 3ds for $10 it’s worth well over that.
I just finished watching 34 & 35 yesterday coincidentally, thinking to myself I hadn't seen them in a while. Great to see more coming! Be safe when you're out there!
Back around 1983 my elder brother was about to lose his player and a stack of around 50 discs in pawn, so since he wasn't wanting them anymore, I paid around $250 to get them out and took them off his hands. Let's just say that, while the novelty of being able to watch them on disc was fun I wasn't a big fan of the format and we eventually got rid of them. These days, I have a few CED discs around here as well as an RCA CED player (which is waiting for me to replace the needle cartridge). These I found at a local thrift store for cheap.
That's why I quit selling at a flea market. The first hour you're there all the people from other booths swarm you. And then nobody else buys all day. Such a waste of time!
I would have bought ALL of those video disks, you can just hang them on the wall as little "Mini Movie Posters" For a buck a piece you can't really go wrong.
Figured I should mention. Those things at 4:40 are CEDs. Which stands for Capacitance Electronic Disk. They are actually read by a needle, just like a conventional turntable. The discs are stored inside the sleeve, then when you put one into a CED player, the player will take the disk out of the caddy and depending on the machine, it might load it automatically or you might have to manually load it. And believe it or not, they are actually newer than Laserdisc. Laserdisc launched in December of 1978 And CED launched in March of 1981. :)
When Frank flies in wearing the 'Keith Courage' mech suit, heh....gets me every time.... (Side note: I miss flea markets. Even more than that, I miss my earlier collecting days when folks were practically GIVING the cart-based stuff away. :( )
That Claymates manual. Had that game as a kid. I remember I bought a complete-in-box copy on ebay some years ago with the lenticular cover art peeling off, but someone had cut pictures out of the manual so I had to buy another copy of that, and it wasn't a common manual. Though the worst manual I had gotten was a Faceball 2000 that someone had cut apart to stick in a photo wallet or something. I realized it only even contained like half the pages so of course had to buy a replacement.
CEDs from before LaserDisc? Nope, that was the problem, they got stuck in RCA development hell for years and came out after Laserdisc, which was better in about every way
Whenever I hear the Rush 'n Attack sirens in these videos, I always wanna play the game for 15 minutes then get frustrated and then play Jackal instead, just like the old days.
Frank’s an odd ball if he thinks of American psycho like that. Brett Easton Ellis’ book was an amazing read I didn’t know whether to cry, puke or come to fruition.
CED (what you called videodisc) actually came out almost 10 years after laserdisc, or to be more exact, almost 10 years after MCA DiscoVision, which was later bought by Pioneer and rebranded as laserdisc.
Always great to travel back to the past. I fondly remember going through a ton of these years ago in one sitting. Keep bringing them out pat, definitely a great treat 👍
Actually CED is not older than laserdisc CED hit the market in 1981 and the first laserdisc player to market was 1978. Watch Technology Connections video on CED or Laserdisc to learn more of the history
Flea markets are on Hold again here in Germany. Many Many People are looking for Gaming Stuff now a days. Still had really nice Deals in the 4 Months since last shut down.
For those who don’t know, the Death of Gwen Stacy is perhaps one of most important moments in Spider Man History, as well as Comic History as a whole. It ended the Silver age of comics, as well as ushered a newer, darker age of storytelling for writers.
This is depressing, I'm lucky if there is someone selling PS2 games at my flea market. I would pay near ebay price for a lot of that stuff just so I wouldn't go home empty handed. Even 5 years ago it was rare to see any ANY older games.
Sorry Pat you were wrong the RCA selectvision discs came out in 1981 LaserDisc came out in 1978 under discovision do some research next time and rca work on that since the sixties but they didn't get to market till 1981☺️
this was really nice to see I have been rewatching the old ones but seeing this new one was great especially considering how long it was also you got some really good deals

Hello Pat

What surprised me the most would have to be that Electro Wand.
Do they sell hair clippers? Need a bit of a trim there, Pat.

Man that Flea Market Madness jingle takes me back like 8 years.
Takes me back about 8 months when I binge watched it over the start of quarantine😂😂
Well shit the footage is five years old so you aren’t that far off the Mark
Five years later and I bet I'm not the only one yelling.... DUDE WHAT'S UP WITH THOSE PS2 GAMES?!
Frank. .... I cant wait to drink and smoke later !!! Love it. 2 bucks well spent to be able to see this today. Thanks
To this day, I still never tire of the FMM intro. It's not that it's "low-quality", but the intro gives me the feeling of adventure at the FM.
LOVE these
Same, I could zone out to these, hard.
You absolute LEGEND!
I sleep to these
A legendary wild Jobst appeared, agreed, a great contrast from Pat's other videos.
Massive legend.
I've been watching these flea market madness videos since I was 9! Been missing the theme song and Frank.
I'm 20 now, and this really brings me back. Love the videos Pat.
Pat, this is your best segment. I love this show. It’s almost therapeutic.
The shot of Frank talking about drinking and smoking with the American flag in the background made the whole episode.
Pat really held his ground when he only paid $4 for those blank discs. That was some sharp negotiating!
@@PatTheNESpunk She offered you a raw deal
@@PatTheNESpunk Pat please explain how you shoot these videos where is the camera! 🤷♂️ Are they those glasses thingys?
@Upcycle Shoes lol

yeah traveled to san diego and had to stop by on the weekend. Didn't look anything like this haha
I bought a *used* manscaped ball trimmer at the flea market, NICE! 😂
Hahaha that ending! It comes back around LOL
I just finished watching 34 & 35 yesterday coincidentally, thinking to myself I hadn't seen them in a while. Great to see more coming! Be safe when you're out there!
This was filmed before covid started. He is just sitting on a few episodes he hasn't released yet from a long time ago.
LaserDisc was introduced in 1978 whereas the RCA Capacitance Electronic Disc (CED) wasn't available until 1981.
Back around 1983 my elder brother was about to lose his player and a stack of around 50 discs in pawn, so since he wasn't wanting them anymore, I paid around $250 to get them out and took them off his hands.

@@awwrelic I had one and the needle broke after 3 movies. I ended up selling it since I didn’t want to spend $50+ to get it rebuilt
Is there anything sweeter than asking 'Does it even work?' When you already know you won't even buy it for knockdown price
Does Wario know he’s a reoccurring character in Flea Market Madness?
@@PatTheNESpunk That wasn't really a yes or no :|
@@FIXTREME Communication isn't a strong suit of Pat or Ian.
You keep hearing over and over vendors buying stuff before they open to flip at their own table the same day
That's why I quit selling at a flea market. The first hour you're there all the people from other booths swarm you. And then nobody else buys all day. Such a waste of time!
I can’t wait till one day Pat snaps and spears the reseller out of nowhere.
Through the table of individually priced games oh ma gawd!
Pat spear!
Lolol
Bygawd that overpriced gold Zelda cartridge had a family!!!
Pat you forgot to edit out your erotic wand negotiation
No pat it was not seaaaaaaled
@@Galagaboy But maybe he... sealed the deal😏
I love watching these especially during quarantine. Crazy how a normal day at the swap meet is so novel now
I would have bought ALL of those video disks, you can just hang them on the wall as little "Mini Movie Posters" For a buck a piece you can't really go wrong.
Only 40 year old men understand the embrace of the vampire purchase.
I've said this before but I'll say it again. I could watch you, and Frank, do this everyday. So much fun. Thanks Pat.
I love these, as they are time capsules back to a happier time. It's cool to look back at what was so common then, and how the values changed now.
Frank doesn’t age, looks exactly the same as he did in episode 1 of this madness series. It’s cool by the way keep me coming Pat !!
Frank is the man with the golden plan. 11:02

@@PatTheNESpunk has it really only been 8 years?? jeez.
Only Pat would have a random swap meet visit from 2015 laying around. Living the dream.
He has a lot of FMM backlog videos. He mentioned it a few times during the podcast, but it takes time to edit them.
So good to see more of these. Love these videos.
lol, I love how you play the reseller alarm every time that dude appears on screen.
When Frank flies in wearing the 'Keith Courage' mech suit, heh....gets me every time.... (Side note: I miss flea markets. Even more than that, I miss my earlier collecting days when folks were practically GIVING the cart-based stuff away. :( )
That Gamecube Code Veronica is worth about $90-100 if its complete. I bet some of those PS2 and OG Xbox games are worth something as well now.
That moment you realize Frank sounds like Dustin Hoffman.

Loved Frank’s philosophy on ambiguous movie plots.
"We're gonna have just like various meat, alright". LOL
Always great to see a new flea episode! Good stuff.
CEDs from before LaserDisc? Nope, that was the problem, they got stuck in RCA development hell for years and came out after Laserdisc, which was better in about every way
Well there were video disc's from the 70's and 80's but they were mostly thing in Japan though.
I would watch these if you did or didn’t find anything, one of my favorite series on RUclips.
I moved away from San Diego this year but these videos of Kobe’s still make up for it. I got some real good finds there.
Frank continues to be the best thing ever.
Flea markets barely have any deals now. Everyone thinks they're crap is gold and the good stuff is like diamonds but man do I miss these!!
And frank!!
"no one else want's these!"
The flea market is gold. I'm moving to Texas. And can not wait to hit those flea markets up.
Awesome video, awesome series!
Thanks Pat, for another awesome Fleamarket Madness. You're one of my favorite RUclipsrs and please keep doing what you're doing! You rock!
8 bucks on a Roger Clemens' MVP baseball! What a steal! 🤣 🤣 🤣 🤣
"spoken for"
That's such a weird term for a flea market. Deals aren't final until cash exchanges hands. "I don't see a ring".
Wow embrace of the vampire..that takes me back.
Pat...Thanks for this man. 👍😎
Wario's face when he saw you that day was hilarious.🤣
11:25 "I just think it's funny that it's pink."

me too brother! I love the PS2 library but you really have to know what's good.
Thanks as always for more Flea Market Madness!
Finally a new Episode of Flea Market madness missed it so badly.
