Catch-22 TV companies ain't making these computers accessible on their TVs, I have a master system and it works on my old telly, but just not my New1 I'm really upset ❤ if you have any advice how to by pass this could you make a video?please❤ I have a Samsung telly.❤
I love these kinda shops and love y’all giving them a proper, lengthy video. All these emulation devices are fun, they’re convenient, but I’ll always prefer playing games on original hardware. I don’t collect for money or clout, I collect for nostalgia and since my parents didn’t have a ton of money, it’s easy to buy consoles and games that make me nostalgic 😂
I’ve not been in years as I moved away but I used to go in once a week. I remember Lee starting on the market and his first location on Micklegate. Bought loads from there over the years. Lee, Dave and Liam are all top blokes.
Such a shame this shop wasn't there in 2010 because I lived in York for a brief period during that year and I would of KILLED to of been able to walk round a place like that!!
Brings back so many memories of being a kid and hunting for Megadrive games at places similar to this, back in the 90s. I must visit if I'm ever in York ❤
This is one of the best retro game shops in the UK. Jam packed and wall to wall games. My only wish is they game a bigger shop as it can get a little cramped when it’s full of people
Love this store. Visit monthly from Middlesbrough. It's the end of the day store for me as its not open when we get there so I leave the family at the bus stop for the park & Ride as I nip around the corner for a rummage! Now, for me, I'm waiting for vita games to start being stocked.
What a shop, phenomenal presentation. The stickers to show at a glance, if games have manuals, is a really nice touch. Edit: I know a fellow Rare fan when I see one 😁
Nice store its reminds me of Raven Games down in Beckenham, sadly no longer a game shop but the front of the shop looks the same, nice to see these independent game shops still going they are a rare breed these days, i used to get all my import games back in the 90s from shops like this back in the days when you had to physically phone them to make an order, all of them are gone now such a shame.
We do try to be fair and sell for a little below the sold average. But this market is very fluid with lots of price movement, so we can't always keep up to date with price shifts.
WOW. I'll give them a like on FB and hope to visit sometime if I'm nearby, we need to support things like this, I used to love the old treasure trove shops you'd get in the past, nowadays everything is so uniform. What struck me most is how when he showed the games I didn't think of the gameplay, I thought about where and who I was when I played them. Mission Impossible, Christmas 1998/9 iirc, when I got it for Christmas. Tony Hawks I remembered playing one Saturday after loaning it and being introduced to a brand new style of game which blew me away. This is more than a game shop it a memory aid 😂 I'm having so many flashbacks atm 😂 Seriously though props to this man for his efforts, there should be museums for this stuff

I haven't been to this shop, as I live not far from bath as well and can't justify the trip yet , but I have ordered from the store. You can see at @20:17 some sonic posters, they had the Sonic 2 lead artist come to the store and sign loads of them so I order a few when they advertised them online.
It’s such a great feeling getting back the same items from your childhood, especially when it’s something aftermarket and they’re not as many available in the wild! Thanks for stopping by!

York is such a great place to visit in general to be honest, it’s a good opportunity to go with friends & family even if they’re not in to Retro to enjoy the city and come see us at Sore Thumb as an excuse 😂
Seen some of the comments which have been a bit disappointing. You guys are great 😊 your an Aladdins cave of gaming and collectibles. I always pop in when on holiday. If you talk to the team they knowledgeable and will do you some great deals. 😊 Love my Purple see through N64 controller! Also thanks for the great deal on the loose Banjo-Tooie. Haha this dude is me in another life, TH3 is the best one as is Mario Kart DD haha. Both unpopular opinions and we both have them lol. Seriously though great shop and some of those prices are great value. York not too far away from me so may pop there soon.

We live in Scarborough but whenever we come to York we always make sure to visit in here!
Such a shame this shop wasn't there in 2010 because I lived in York for a brief period during that year and I would of KILLED to of been able to walk round a place like that!!
What a great store this is, so many memories in one place!
Planning on going to York in the next few years just for a stay over night with the wife, and this will 100% be a place I go and spend money

Absolutely stunning. Brings back all my memories of PlayStation 1 - Dreamcast etc. fantastic shop, would love to visit

This looks awesome but I missed it when I was at York, kind of ironic that the shop is called sore thumb because this looks like retro heaven
What a shop, phenomenal presentation. The stickers to show at a glance, if games have manuals, is a really nice touch.

Not quicker if you take into consideration you gotta be there 2-3 hours before your flight. It’s a 4.5 hour drive from Bath.
