Do it dude, no better feeling than cruizing down the street or landing a trick you've been wanting, get a board from Walmart or something and see how you like it. If you like it than I suggest later on going to a skate shop and investing on a better board
Do it and don't give up. You won't regret it.
NishioHD Don't get a walmart board, the build quality is so awful that it's harder to do tricks on it, which is not what you want when you're first learning to skate. It's also likely to break even on a flatground trick which could cause unnecessary injury. Get a cheap board, yes, but make sure the deck is 7 ply concave and it has metal trucks and urethane wheels at the very least.

Same here but I'm over weight. An excuse I guess. I even have to money to get into it... Just no friends that skate. Btw, I live in Valencia, Spain. Not much of a skate scene to begin with.
In reality this isn't the world we live in. You can't just make your own skate park and make friends off the bat. I'm a loner and it's really hard for me to make friends. Sometimes I wish this video was reality

Could this story be very loosely based on OF? Like the members first being alone, just skating but having nowhere to belong, sometimes even getting bullied. Then they started making something for themselves, that brought along friends and girls and even their enemies wanted to be a part of it. But it's difficult to become friends with people you couldn't stand before.
The story the way I see it revolves around the boy having nowhere to belong to finds his place, and the bully ends up alone since he's got nowhere to belong to anymore.

The message in this is video is so simple and powerful in my opinion. You will have a passion, others will disregard it and try to bring you down but staying to true to whatever it is inspires you will lead to bigger and better things; a mantra that I'm sure everyone in OF attests to. Sick beats from Left Brain too, especially in the outro.

This was dope. Amazing film.
This video presents an optimistic portrayal of a community that was formed around a common passion: skating. It represents the best this community has to offer such as friendship, platonic endearment for one another, and a safe haven from the otherwise harsh realities of the world. I particularly enjoy the concepts presented within this short film and feel as though the director made a statement that this is a world in which we should strive to make for ourselves. We should surround ourselves with like minded people whom don't project harsh judgements on us and cast out or perhaps in a more colloquial manner "don't fuck with" those who may take advantage of us. I greatly respect Lije Sarki now that I've had the opportunity to view his work and his team as well. Keep up the awesome work guys.

When the bully walks up to the fence, he sees that the kid he bullied was part of a clique he wished he could belong to. At first you think it's the kid who doesn't belong, but then you realize it's the bully who doesn't belong.
I've seen a lot. OF promotes a lot, but not leaving people out, they usually say to accept people.
Vibe Fuster By keeping the bully out of the makeshift skating place, he's no better than others that keep people out they don't like. He doesn't know whether the bully just had to fit in to be safe, he doesn't know his story, and he wants forgiveness, which he is denied.

The kid makes friends when he had none and that is a great thing. The overall message is to keep the people you feel comforable and happy around and get rid of people who cause you pain. Not many people get the film. The right people for you will come and stay.
