Just bought a kofs today after juggling with the idea of an ATA. Love the channel. Thanks for the advice Stalking Roe in Scotland next weekend with my Howa too
As always, a great and informative video. No BS and straight to the point. Several months ago I was trying to decide what gun to buy as a total novice and the ATA was definitely on the list, I did however buy a second hand Miroku 7000 sporter and am extremely please with it.
I bought my 12g ATA SP black back in December & so far am very happy with it. The advice everyone gave me was to buy a secondhand Browning or even Beretta for £800 (good luck with the latter) because they “hold their value”. That may be true but (hopefully) I’ll never be in a position where I need to sell it, and £200 in my pocket & a warranty was worth more to me. I’m definitely not the only one to think this way too. Also the ATA seemed to ‘fit’ me better, despite the obviously superior provenance of the second hand options. By the way, appreciate the videos, I learn something new with every one I watch.
As an American, I am loving these videos that you guys are putting out. I'm seeing guns not normally found the the USA and am getting a different perspective on the guns that I can find here. I'm just having difficulty picking up on the accent at times though.
Could you do more comparisons please? Price Range - This v That, Pros v Cons. I think it's more like a real scenario of people considering a purchase and answers many questions without trying to sell a model. Either way hats off to you, keep publishing the vids, they always have decent content, and I do like the say it how it is approach.
I had a berretta 686 sporter but reluctantly had to sell. After a while I picked up an ATA sporter and yes it’s not a berretta but it fits just perfect and well worth the money
not everyone has money to spend on a high end shotgun! I hunt and hunt harder then most I bought the KOFs. I am not some spoiled kid with tone of money and can buy what ever I want. But if you want to hunt the gun you have is the right one!
My license was granted the other day and I’m going to get my first gun tomorrow and it’s between these two guns but I’m leaning more to the ATA. Great review.
I opted for the Kofs mainly because it was stocked in our local gun shop, whereas ATA and Yildiz are order only guns , I shot the Kofs in my first ever clay shoot competition yesterday I did OK for only being shooting for 4 months and the Kofs did was it was meant to do so I'm happy as with my choice.
So for £500-£600 what would you be looking at instead? I’m considering my first gun and this is around my budget. I’ve been enjoying your videos and I’d greatly value your advice :)
Very informative review. Guys, I'm going to guess that by Johnny not saying what he'd buy for 500-600 could be a hint at an upcoming video. 🤔 I agree on the 28 gauge comment on the KOFS. I have a Cavalry Arms 410 that looks very similar and love it sans the very short LOP. Might be KOFS under another name. Hopefully the hair is not an indication of how your day is going. Everyone at works can tell how my day is going by the height of my hair.
If you going to buy ATA, make sure you buy them from importers like sgc. ATA gives 3 years on some of there guns but dealers will give 1 year. Buy off importers get it delivered to local rfd
@@MuhammedTartik Turkish shotguns in my experience dont give longevity. Issue's with triggers and light strikes and generally poor reliability after a couple of 1000 cartridges is usually the issue . The only exception to this in MY OWN EXPERIENCE is the newer escort semi automatics. I wouldent give a bucket of cold piss for a YILDITZ OR AN ATA . There not cheap for a reason . Other people may have only good things to say about them. Again this only my opinion. All the best.
If you can get your hands on a CZ All American and or Red head premier target. I would like to hear your opinion on what you think about those as a entry to mid level o/u
With the new ATA black sporter released could you do a review of it please ? Has it been improved from the earlier model and is it worth the price tag ?
"ATA buyers think they have undercut Beretta" is the daftest comment I've heard you say. I think even you are turning into a badge snob. ATA may be modelled on a 686 (as they are related), but it certainly isn't trying to be one. ( My nissan juke is a car, but not as good as a ferrari.) It is a £600 gun that does what a gun is supposed to do. For the last 12 months and around 2500 carts my ATA bronze is doing the same as and better than some at my clay ground.
I know it’s 3yrs on, but have you noticed people give you advise on not to purchase but never what to purchase instead of.. As you may well know, there isn’t anything used at $500~$800 range worth buying as they’re used, abused old discarded pieces of shit* that’s why people trade them in as in which no doubt will require a visit to the local gunsmiths for $300~$500 service & parts on so called premium branded Guns…. Buy new, get a 2-5 yr warranty and after 5 years it’s still a reliable gun that you’ve gotten used to, it’s a lot of brand snobbery, if you don’t care about resale value but still get 50% if you sold it in 5 years, as $800 gun and $500 service you’ll still only get what you 50%-60% of original purchase price… (store trade in) maybe..
@Saleh Arshad Thank you for that. It is a question that has been on my mind for some time. My son bought it up and showed me a picture of one. However, he said that Stevens has a metal action, as opposed to the aluminium one on the Kofs.
They are nice “for the price”. HOWEVER, for that money you can get a second hand Japanese made SKB = Weatherby.....no effin contest in my opinion. Then again, brand new is a very nice feature! Enjoy your reviews.
@@siturk yes i got a 12 bore kofs brought a pair infact find it brilliant fits me well handles nice shoots well with no problems atall so far ive used it alot the last few months ive had it really put alot of shots through it and its perfect looks good aswell if the gun fits you i would highly recomend buying one
Not really very helpful to conclude that you wouldn’t buy either - so what would you buy new at that price point? What are we missing? I assume you are saying that with your knowledge you’d sniff out a second hand bargain- not really practical for the newbie unless you know your stuff?
Love the way he gets straight into details and spec rather than some silly 5 min intro.
Thank you

Great reviews Guy! Keep the good job up ! I will follow your work now.
Shot both of these as well as a Beretta silver pigeon. In terms of fit and feel would pick the ATA all day long.
I'm in the market for an affordable 20ga for the ol' lady. I really appreciate how thoughtful your reviews are.

Jonny any chance of doing a review on a AYA NO3 Magnum for wildfowling ? Great video as usual mate
Quick question what limbsaver recoil pad fits the kofs 12 gauge one
Great content!
Why have you not carried out a comparison between ATA and Yildiz as you have compared both against Beretta 686 and Kofs
So what would you buy for £500-600
A lady of the night?
@@PointlessGiraffe Bit expensive init.
@@manofkentcatapultsgunsando5069 Well he asked what I'd buy for £500-600 and that's it

Cool video thanks I have made a we ATA video my seif but I an very unexperienced but the AtA very good value for money
How much cast has the kofs right handed got?
Hi Jonny could you please tell me if the Kofs Sceptre is a copy of the Stevens 555?

So with a budget of £500 - £600 what would you buy if it’s not one of these?????
you say there are better for the money of about £600 which ? please as i am about to get a Kofs
We did a video on that exact subject - ‘what gun would I buy for £600?’

Can you do a comparison between a Kofs and a Yildiz
Possibly, although the price point is a little different for a yildiz nowadays
The Gun Shop I’m looking at buying either a second hand Yildiz that you can get for about the same money as a new Kofs. What would you recommend?
Not really very helpful to conclude that you wouldn’t buy either - so what would you buy new at that price point? What are we missing? I assume you are saying that with your knowledge you’d sniff out a second hand bargain- not really practical for the newbie unless you know your stuff?

Kofs 💪🇹🇷🇹🇷🇹🇷🇹🇷
So what would you buy?
Didn’t realise Prince Harry had a gun shop.
Light gun has more recoil...
I shot a fox with a kofs sceptre the first couple days I had it
you hard bastard
So what gun would you spend 500 or 600 pounds on? :)
Can pick up an older miroku, skb, nikko, winchester, etc for that if you look hard enough. Guns that will last multiple lifetimes
Why would you want a telephone pole. I go to the gym to lift weights.
А по Русски можно?
Anti climax…!!!!
Please when doing a review comparison can you keep the camera on the guns not the presenter. I can hear him?
