It was a blast from... the past. Cmon guys, it was right there.
The end credit scene? What was it?
Oh what a day! WHAT A LOVELY DAY!
I LIVE, I DIE, I LIVE AGAIN!
I do want to revisit the world of Mad Max! So this is music to my ears. I'm in!
I love that Wendy and Mama's Geeky made a cameo in the back.
I didn't get to see Fury Road when it was in theaters. So I can't wait to see this one on an IMAX screen.
Then you will have a blast!
I hope you heal. Thank you guys for going to the movies together!!! I always loved you guys with WTFlick but I like the reaction shots and taking it there. You guys are professionals but I still like the one one one shots.
Thanks so much for sticking with us all this time, Genna!
Can't wait to see this movie. It's going to be full of action.
Doesn't have to beat Fury Road.
Alonso should give Christy piggy back rides everywhere.
We need a photoshoot of that haha!
I wanna go in & learn more about Dementus. I've played the video game a million times & found his tomb. Hope talked a little bit about Dr. D so now I want to go back & see what exactly happened.
I’m definitely checking this out. I haven’t been to the theater in a while but the madness of George Miller never ceases to intrigue me
This is an excellent reason to go back to the movies. Hope you enjoy!
Did you see HOPE AND GLORY yet? The fan made Mad Max short film is a nice warm-up for FURIOSA
IMAX next Thursday and I cannot wait!!!
Hey that's Stuart Wellington's bar!
y'all are both so iconic!!!! thanks for sharing your thoughts >:D
I still haven't seen Babe: Pig In The City despite growing up on Babe. Maybe I will now!
I swear to gawd that is Wendy Lee at the 1:03 mark of video 😅
Was underwhelmed by the trailer. This out of theatre reaction confirms my initial thoughts.
I was expecting that it would just be spectacle so I'll still see it.
Hope you enjoy!
is Christy short? or is Alonso tall?
🙃
Both!
Had a feeling it was gonna be a bit of a let down or at least a step down from Fury Road. You can’t compete with what Miller accomplished there with that one. Might check it out once it’s on demand ✌️
Oh you should see it in a theater if you can! It's a dazzling spectacle.
@@BreakfastAllDay only bc I trust you guys implicitly. Looking forward to the full review
I think I'm going to get skewered for this, but I think this was the take a lot of people consciously and unconsciously had about the Matrix sequels. I never found them that much more inferior to the first if you're honest about the sfx, visuals, storytelling, acting, etc. It's just that we were so wowed by the first that the reactions to the subsequent installments were, "Yeah, we've seen and heard this already." kind of a reaction and that seems to be the case here?
Christy-osa 😉
Lemirosa
There are going to be people who have never seen fury road. These people will watch furiosa first and will that take away from the greatness of fury road?
Thought it wasn't out till next week?
It's not, we just wanted to review it as early as possible.
@@BreakfastAllDay that's nice a theater showed it early
Mcu fans with a Midwit review 😅
Shiny And Chrome!
Happy feet 2? Dear god
I still remember Beyond Thunderdome. Can't be worse than that one.
Damn Alonso disliked it and he LOVES Fury Road
Pardon my ignorance, but how have they seen this already?
The critics screening in LA was Wednesday afternoon, thanks for asking. Hope you'll check out our full review later today.
@BreakfastAllDay Will do. Thanks for the reply. I'm seeing Furiosa in IMAX on the 25th and can't wait. In all honesty I was afraid this wouldn't be on par with Fury Road. So happy it's getting such great reviews.
Oh, what a lovely day!!
It's a real shame to hear it's too similar to the Mad Max films. I was really expecting this film to be along the lines of Anne of Green Gables. Clearly that's what the trailers are advertising. Definitely not seeing it now.
Womp womp your loss, what’s wrong with it being similar to the Mad Max films? Furiosa is getting so much praise, these reviewers just clearly don’t appreciate good movies.
/r/whoooosh
Mad Max 2 Road Warrior was the big worldwide hit, so that's a point for making sequels.
While it had some good action scenes, there's a list of things didn't like about Fury Road, starting with the bizarrely Oscar winning editing. There are scenes where the video doesn't flow smoothy, it seems jerky, sped up. People have speculated frames of video were deleted to make it look that way. Furiosa is the real lead, not Max. So the new one is #5 in the series, also no Max.
I do think people want to see the spectacle.
They will get it!
@@BreakfastAllDay Yes, like seeing sharks in Jaws sequels and ghosts in Poltergeist sequels!
I'm in the minority, but i didnt care for Fury Road. I felt it was all the things you just said about this one, so much spectacle ....so i'll prob skip Furiosa. Love the Road Warrior though. Nice mechanical leg, fitting for the movie :)
Sadly yes!
I was this close on a marathon Mad Max binge 😢
Furiosa has 89% at Rotten Pomodori
What's stopping you from doing that? Most of the reviews for this movie has mostly been positive and ik some ppl don't really pay attention to rotten tomatoes but the movie does have a good score on it
Yeah no, I'm still watching this over Madame Web my good sir. Alanso.
Instead of comparing Furiosa against Fury Road, compare it against every other action movie. This film has to be seen on the big screen. Anything less is a tragedy, like drinking water from a spoon.
We agree it needs to be seen on the big screen, and had the pleasure of seeing it in IMAX. But it's impossible not to compare it with Fury Road. Thanks for watching.
This was my fear when I saw the trailer - it looks too much like Fury Road. Fury Road was awesome... but the public passed on that already! I'll see it. George can count on me! Yet my expectations are considerably lowered.
The Fall Guy and Unfrosted are good, but this is a disappointment? Uh huh, I’m sure.
Babe Pig in the City was TERRIBLE!!!!
You make a good looking couple
This would be news to both of ours husbands, but thank you :)
*vrrrooom*
the whole point of hollywood for the last 20 or so years: doing the same thing over and over. greed and laziness rule.
please watch the movie again before you officially review it please, its too important to rush it
Well critics rarely get the opportunity to see a movie more than once before reviewing it. But this was just a quick reaction, we'll have a more in-depth review later today, so keep an eye out for that. Thanks.
@@BreakfastAllDay support my man george miller 😭 the shot composition and design just looks so good, i hope you guys are wrong with this one. i always respect ur opinion tho dont get me wrong
This is exactly how I feel and i haven’t seen it ( don’t wanna see it) im just so over these big budget movies.
This is silly.
When its a director as visionary as George Miller, then big budget blockbusters are great. Like Fury Road, like Dune, like Blade Runner 2049, like all of Christopher Nolan movies
I might just avoid this movie then. I’ll probably see the next Mad Max movie George has planned though.
well it ain't dropping next week bud I'll tell you that much
this might be the last one. He's 79
@@poposterous236 He’s said prior to filming this movie there’s a Max centred movie he’s going to make as well as Furiosa.
Female ghost busters of mad max films
Seriously doubt it
kiss yourself
Pointless review. What they apparently fail to recognize is the world-building and characters (and of course action) is why people want to see this. The logic of “ we have already seen this” can be applied to any franchise. No matter how many Star Wara, Superheros Transformers, Fast and Furious etc. movies they keep making people keep going back to watch. Why? People love the stories and characters, regardless how many times they tread over the same ground.
I get what you’re saying - but what people went nuts about with FURY ROAD in 2015 were the jaw-dropping visuals that were unlike anything we had seen before. You take away the unique “you’ve gotta see this it’s unlike anything” appeal and it’s simply an entertaining entry. That’s what they’re saying.
If you don't demand better from Die Hard 2, then you are just going to get Die Hard 5.
@@Dobbsy79 I get that, I just don’t think that should be a negative. The opening shot of Star Wars in 1977 blew peoples minds, as well as the space dogfights as they had never seen anything like that before neither, but that didn’t stop the Empire Strikes Back from being awesome! Furiosa shouldn’t try to be like Fury Road anyway, it’s it’s own movie, sure it has some of the same beats but it’ stands on its own.
They recommended people go see it so not sure what you are upset about. A lot of people do care about that so it is a point to bring up. Plus, if it is retreading ground, there is no compelling world building. It means the world building was either insufficient or had reached a limit and they couldn't think of new questions to ask.
All those franchises are bad because they are so copy paste.
I understand why the lack of novelty after 10 year gap between movies is a criticism.
No, this is good. Get out of here Alonso. First, Kingdom of the Planet of the Ape and now this film. Go home! Time to quit reviewing films of this kind. Kingdom was fantastic with a great ending. Get the hell out of here!!
Hi Sam, have you seen Furiosa yet?
@@BreakfastAllDay No, but I know I will like it. Fury Road was good, but I still liked Mad Max 2 better. Furiosa is either going to be good or great. George Miller doesn't make bad films. It just seemed to me that Alonso was not up to seeing Kingdom and this film. Sorry, just a fan that is into fantastic cinema.
Lol what a shit review it's a prequel man fury road includes max but continuity of furiosa
Fury Road was 💩
Is the hipster santa claus looking guy her dad?
