If you want to receive one short email from me every week, where I go through a few of the most useful things I have explored and discovered this week. Things like; favourite apps, articles, podcasts, books, coding tips and tricks. Then feel free to join kalletech.com/...
In this video I take an idea of an app and turn it into a published app using Flutter (app is called TrackAdvance) and release it to both the google play store and the app store.
This video is meant to show my entire process going from an idea to a finished product.
I show the way I design my apps, the way I build them and the way I design the logos and then finally I publish it.
This was done in the course of one week therefore it's called a one week build.
I hope you enjoy it!
Also soon I will start doing live stream one day builds on twitch here: Twitch: / kallehallden

You've spent 12h just to get the user authentication to work. Okay, I'm glad I'm not that only one, who needs that much time to get something to work the first time. But at the end it's always worth. So pleasing and satisfying is that moment when it finally works.
that was identically my first reaction. Glad I'm not the only one :-)
That what i call "Quality content"
Good work as always
Thank you, that is a great review! Really do appreciate it! :)
@@Hallden_ Sir Would Java be of no use in future because of growing use of Python in web dev, data science, ML, AI and

@@abhishektyagi4428 hii i am interested in built a app n games can you help me n show the right way😊

Thanks a lot! 😃 I got my inspiration back after watching this video. Sometimes it just feels too overwhelmed to build a product all by myself.
Man, this is incredible.
I truly admire the competence and determination. Your channel is great, and your videos are inspiring.
Much respect.
Thank you man! Glad that my videos inspire you :)
Damn kalle the quality level is through the roof! Good job man👍🏻
Thank you! I'm glad you think so, means a lot :)
Like i already said when we talked i admire how passionate you are, great job, keep moving forward! 😊
Thank you again! Really do appreciate it :)
I hope once day I can be write code like him @Kalle Hallden
Just continue to work on it, I've seen many people want this app.
Also think of a feature like this : Calendars to "suggest" times that immediately follow or precede existing tasks.
EDIT: you need to do a video about how did you arrived at this, you worked hard for a short time, gg
Yeah maybe I should, seems like a lot of people want it.
The reason I put a price on it was mostly cause I didn't think it was that good of an idea so I figured no one would really want to download it.
But maybe I should rethink this
@Robo Cop, check calendly ;)
Your tutorials go deep thanks for not just building a UI but also teaching us how to make it functional
Dood that’s froogin’ nuts! Back in the day in Silicon Valley we used to put in 80 hours a week every week for 20 years.
This is so cool! I've never heard of Flutter before this.
Okay nice, great that I was able to get you into it :) or at least introduce it to you
You are an inspiration, Kalle. About to get my hands on Flutter
Your git commit 😂😂😂😂 “getting calendar events now works, now let’s start F’ing building it”. Bro, those are my Uber aggressive commits and print statements as well 😆
Hahah I know, especially after being stuck on a problem for a while then the commits become that haha
I just bought it to support this incredible work. If there is a way to check, you would realize this comment comes even before watching. hahaha
Haha nice! I believe you, and I really appreciate you for it! :)
Your videos are amazing. You'll have over 100k subs in no time at all. Keep at it!
Thanks Matt, that is a major goal for sure!
Wow, 16 thousand subscribers, I remember when it was 7 thousand. Good job.
Yeah man it's pretty crazy! Thank you :)
now it's 2k more. congrats @Kalle Hallden
@@Aljannnn 3k more now
Now 53k bro
Now 443K!
OUR MAN KALLE NOW A CELEBRITY 😎
You set a great example with this video! Bought it on the App Store (€3.49)
I've only recently been working on a project which uses a python script that downloads the audio from the user's inputted URL, and so I decided that Flutter would be the best tool to use.
The only problem is I have no idea how to do it...
my goal is to make a flutter app with a text box where the user can insert a link that will have audio extracted from it and downloaded.
-If anyone can offer any help whatsoever that would be greatly appreciated, and thanks for taking the time to read this!
I liked your video editing
Ha! You integrated Firebase 😆 glad to see that!
Haha! I've seen those error screens far too much 😂
"Abort mission" hahaha I love that 😆
Integrate more of these into your app, challenge yourself a bit more 😉
I'll show you my app before I publish it on github and the app store:)
You probably shouldn't have said "$5" in the video, that might have detoured people, I would never make an app that expensive because I wouldn't want to spend that. A buck or two is nothing, you'll get more downloads of its a buck or two (in my personal opinion), I'm glad to see you lowered it to $2.99 though, I think that was a good move.
Genius! Kalle you are an inspiration for me to be a better coder!
I fuckin subbed in the first 20 seconds because I know this is gonna be A+ QUALITY
Man that's awesome to hear!
I genuinely appreciate that a lot! :)
This app looks awesome and I love the idea. I use Office 365 for work and would love to have this app. You inspire me to create something similar for myself. A cool addition to the app would to add a timer feature to calculate time on a task. Otherwise great work and I look forward to more videos.
On Adobe XD, use prototype to show the path. If you click those objects in the preview, it will even animate...
Lol...Kalle you make coding look really simple
I will challenge myself to do same and send you the link soon
Haha thank you, but I believe Flutter is the main thing making me look good.
Yeah so it man I would love to see it! :)
@@Hallden_ I will inbox u once I am ready for the challenge. Started learning flutter about a
2 month ago inconsistently but thanks for the motivation. You the man!💪
Hi, great video! Just wanted to mention that for designing apps and web services there is a good online editor called Figma, might be useful (it allows to visualize all the connections and actions in your app UI)
This is great video! Just downloaded the app on Android. More of these videos & showing the real side of development that not everything goes to plan (bugs, taking longer than a week etc)
I am glad to hear that man, that is exactly what I wanted to do with this video.
So that's really great that that came across! :)
Actually, this is the most thing that fascinated me and led me to think about studying software engineering, because for me, converting an idea into tangible results is the most amazing thing ever, also, I have had a lot of experiences throughout the period of using Photoshop for more than 6 years when transferring the ideas into photos, it was feel amazing and it still is.
programming and editing photos may look totally different but for me they are the same, so as more as ideas come to my mind, I got encouraged more and more to get into this field, and for now, I have three app ideas that no one has thought about yet " as I think ", so, I guess after less than 4 years, I will compete you strongly, be careful man :)
But to be honest, in editing and filming field, again, you are the best ever with no doubt !!
lots of love, keep up man.
Man I feel like I reply with this all the time but I really do genuinely appreciate it!
And not only the positive comment, but also that you take the time to write something interesting that others can read that might give some inspiration.
So thank you, and I look forward to competing with you! :)
@@Hallden_ Don't worry man, just keep up, you deserve much bigger support than this, and again, I really enjoy watching what great things you make every week, which is really motivating to start immediately, but I'm just waiting for my application for the University to be accepted, so I can start with full power :) , by the way, I'm writing this comment and watching your last uploaded video on another tab XD, I'm just fascinated by the way you are filming with !!
Kalle! Your the man! I love watching your videos!! Keep up the great work! I really appreciate your content!
Wow😲!!!
No words to describe video editing 👍
Love u man❤️
Thank you, cool to hear that you think so!
Every time before uploading I always feel like it isn't that good haha

@@Hallden_ yeah, every youtuber thinks that.
Keep it up. this is great.

It looks good, first I did not know if it could be useful but seeing the finished product looks very good.
That's great to hear, I'm glad you thought so :)
Play store link isn't working anymore :(
for auth you could always use OAuth
Firebase Authentication..?
Great video! You've inspired me to dive deeper into Flutter. Thanks
Blimey, thought my laptop crashed at 8:20 when the video went blank lol
Thanks for this video. From Indonesia
2 more questions:
1. What state management approach do you use? BLoC, Provider, RxDart..?
2. How in the world you speak English so good?!
Tack! Fasen va schysst, ska kolla upp detta :)
Kalle Hallden inga problem

Wow nice! I appreciate the ongoing support!
Thank you :)
Great video 👍🏼
Planning on buying the app 😊
Nice thank you Robin! :)
tons of likes! super creative
This guy,
he makes sense man!
❤️ amazing
Great Stuff Kallen. Can you tell us what are the tools you used to build the whole process. Eg- we saw that there is a separate tool you used for planning whole tasks by ticking them. Thank you very much in advance.
Do you write flowcharts when you before you start your design process or do you just jump into it?
I recently started drawing flowcharts for programs and applications i write, it has helped me ALOT, specially with figuring out issues before they arrive and to establish somekind of timeframe of how long it would take me to write, it also has helped me to actually finish a function before i move on to the next one!
Really enjoyed your video, definitely subscribing
I love your video's i can't wait for other video!
Thank you, that's really cool to hear! :)
Awesome
This is more or less a tutorial channel and you do a Good Job in sharing your knowledge. I would totally spend money to buy your Flutter Video Apps if you shred a link to a "Private Github" with the SOURCE CODE for people that supported your channel and work. That way we can continue to support your work and lean to build at the same time.
Just a thought..... Keep up the good work!!
this man really codes in cmd
Good job man your videos motivate me
👍👍👌👌
Your videos are the only one on youtube that i dont tap for skip
Wow thank you, I'm glad to hear that! :)
Where did you learn flutter? Love the video dude keep it up!
The landscape looks like Norway!;-)
Daaamn !! that intro is sick, you're the fastest improving youtuber dude
LOL "Are you sure you wanna log out of this incredible app" I love that
Congrats for your app man, I love your hard working attitude(I wish I can have it one day !! )
I wish you make a video telling us your story about programming how you started, where did you learn it from, and more importantly how do you deal with frustration
Haha thank you man!
That's really cool to hear that you think so, I greatly appreciate it!
Also I have made a video like that:
ruclips.net/video/nupkQD_Mnhg/видео.html
Although I don't talk about dealing with frustration, which is hard for sure
If you are still here a year later and needing inspiration or support, Kalle made a video about the frustration: ruclips.net/video/flzINYpIcc8/видео.html
Kult att se att du kommer från Sverige.
For faster and easier development, Firebase is probably suitable! There authorization and streaming content update. Thank you, cool video
Although I disagree your Code Design Pattern ,and I disagree your application compatibility. But I think it's a great video what tell people Flutter in IOS and Software Developer(I think Coder) do.
Thanks your video. You are a great hacker.
It sounds like a cool app. Keep your great work.
Very good content, I hope to see more of these flutter videos. Is it possible to see the entire video? This way I can see your thought process in detail and how you approach each solution and find answers on Google and Stackoverflow. I do want to purchase the app to support the channel, but it seems the Google Play Store link is broken.
using app ideas as merch is such a cool idea, loved this one!
I thought so too! Thank you :)
It is not available in google play store! I loved your idea and i wanted to purchase it, can you help me out?
Your intros are awesome!
Thank you! And if you like my intros you should watch my latest one haha!
Hey Kalle, great work. It's always seems easy when a professional does his work.
Could you please tell me what experience do you have on Flutter or in mobile dev overall? In years or apps?
I'm currently switching from Android to Flutter and all this declarative programming style looks crazy for me..
p.s. subscribed
Great job.
Please upload 720p quality video

Can I have it too? thanks
oh men i love you, i like this video, please make video more video like this ..
Thank you! I will :)
Very nice video! I love it! Greetings from the Netherlands,
Awesome application and also very cool video to get an inside view of programming an application. Could you maybe integrate in the future the apple calendar into the app? So that you can choose apple or google calendar.
Yeah that's a great idea, I am actually thinking of also adding like a calendar within the app itself that could connect to apple or Google :)
In google play store you can download the app and try it out for 2h and then return it and get your money back FYI. Set up some events in your calender and try it out and if it seems like something you would actually use more than once the price is entirely fair I think. Where else do you get a 100h of work for a couple of $?
Yeah that's actually a really good point, if one does not want it then it is possible to return it and get the money back :)
Great app!
Good video.. Many thanks.. You have a lot of tip that I can be used of... And i think that was a dam good looking app..
Hi, I love your projects Especially the App development videos.
Could you make a Video on project version control with flutter projects or in general? I'm facing difficultis grasping the concept and applying it with my projects.
Thanks a lot and keep up the good work
Hi, Kalle, many asked what apps did you use in this video, maybe next time you could post all apps in your video.
I would too. And I did. 😛 I wanna learn more about this. I think it might help me with completely organizing my work. Do ping me back if you have the time and patience to spare.
Awesome Work, very inspiring that with consistency and dedication you can make something happen. Unfortunately, the app is not available in the country I am in. :-(
Good work as always>>>>>>>>> I'm going to use your video on my channel -> thanks you
Thank you! :)
Have any of you guys used something like supernova(one of the ui design to code editors) to make an app before? How did that go? Did the components transfer over properly?
Hey man your content is great....so I'm a totally new beginner and I have went through your channel.....but the most important part that I don't get is that which software do u use to code those codes...and how do you make that screen for a cellphone appear while coding....they say if you want to master coding you must practice n i don't know where to practice it in.......
Would be great if you can clear up my confusion...
Check quality of video please! It seems you have a 4k screen but in 1080 here on youtube I see to much blur
Incredible video!! Thanks
Man thank you, Im glad you liked it! :)
Doing these as march is a very good idea. I'm heavily considering purchasing this one! This is the first video that I've seen of yours, but it has helped me think through a bit of my process for coming up with little projects.
Good job!
P.S. Are you on an iMac, or are you just using an external display? Your resolution is massive!
Nice I am glad to hear it! :)
I use a MacBook pro
So great video!! You are awesome man!
Thank you, you too! ;)
Awesome project! I recommend using some capturing software like OBS so you don't have to show your facecam in a window and look at yourself the whole time :D
How long have you been in development,
I'm curious to know.
Love the Video...
Glad to hear it! :)
This video was love 😍
Haha nice! I'm glad you liked it :)
good job and keep going

Noted, I will take care of that for sure
Thank you!

Thank you for your the episode bro
Thank you for watching it! :)
