Just like every season I try to watch every anime that airs and as I was doing my routine this just caught me off guard the ending part where he threw his bike Into the river and said he hit that gas instead of the brake was gold 😂
This anime is both unironically and ironically funny. There were some parts where I laughed because of the clever writing and amazing performances, and other parts where I laughed at how cringe the main characters were, or how absurd some of the situations were (though this is sort of the point of the show lol). Also, I absolutely love how the main dude totally breaks his initial edgy character to become the blubbering, unsociable idiot he is. Literally the embodiment of “inside me there are two wolves”. One other thing I really liked was how oddly realistic the characters are written, especially for an anime within this specific sub-genre. While the main dude is obviously a blubbering, cringey idiot, it doesn’t mean the girl isn’t also hella cringey too, in her own way. From her trying to get attention from the shoppers at the bookstore, to not being able to read the situation when her two classmates were obviously trying to flirt with each other, and even to her crying because the poster she worked hard in making wasn’t used. That last one especially shocked me, especially at how realistic her actions and movements were, waving her face and trying to look away from the classroom as she starts to cry. Like, damn, I’ve totally done those exact same subtle movements in similar situations. Just goes to show that these people are, ultimately, cringey, still-developing children. Man, I loved this first episode a lot. And this is coming from someone who actually dropped the manga a couple chapters in lol. The anime staff really outdid themselves.
@@captainpanda8060 unless it’s a sign of some sort of change. The fact that Boruto of all anime was also put on break shows SOME stuff is changing. Hopefully for the better.
That's the issue....what comes after...has a high bar to impress. Let's enjoy what we get, and hope these shows inspire other studios to yearn for "awesome."
I just finished reading chapter 117 last week and thinking I wish this series will get an anime adaptation, not knowing the trailer already out 3 month ago 😅 I'm happy beyond words.
Ichikawa's deal is mainly that he's edgy, but also self-aware about it. And because he overthinks things while trying his best, he just comes across as very...sincere.
it's bar none one of the best I have read in a while. I easily consider this one of the better ones I have read in a while. the character development in the manga feels real. the anime looks more softer compared to the manga but that's okay because it's not TOO soft.
Ohhh, I'm so glad to hear that you're enjoying the series, Chibi! I've read the manga all the way to the current chapters and man, you're in for a ride
Without a doubt one of the absolute best romances to ever come out of Japan, finally getting an anime. I have very, very rarely seen such stellar character writing and development in any piece of media. Something tells me this won’t get the amount of attention it deserves in the West, as the Western anime circle tends to have really, *REALLY* questionable taste in romance anime, but I’m just happy seeing it animated and doing well in Japan.
Most romance anime don’t go anywhere so most people don’t watch it since we in the west can’t relate waiting 3 years to hold hands. Kaguya love is war is really great though since the relationship actually progresses
@@angelgomez7081 I mean you say that but like most of the romance anime that is popular in the West is exactly what you described: zero development stories with extremely 1-dimensional, poorly written characters. For some examples, My Dress Up Darling, Komi Can’t Communicate, and Don’t Bully Me Miss Nagatoro: all three are super popular in the West despite going nowhere for a majority of their stories and having incredibly flat characters with no depth.
I was sad to hear that My Dress-Up Darling doesn’t really progress. I thought the first season wasn’t bad but I can see it getting stale like all other romance anime where they just drag it on too long.
@@Manganimemer that’s because especially with my dress up darling the anime was good most people aren’t reading the manga but yeah it gets really stale. I like romance anime but idk maybe I just grew out of certain types of it. I really liked kaguya since their relationship actually goes forward and not just stale
The music really caught me off guard, it was almost distracting how good it was haha. Gave me a silent voice vibes with its piano when he was on his bed after buying the magazine. As a manga reader I am 100% satisfied with this adaptation!
@@gonzalo9241 that is insanely impressive that his music has that much personality, to the point where you can tell it’s him by just a few seconds of his music!
BokuYaba is one of my underrated favourites when it comes to Romcom. It's funny, it's cute and it's got the most natural romantic progression of any Romcom that I've read. So glad one of the RUclipsrs I watch is covering this. People need to stop sleeping on this anime!!
Wow it’s super surreal seeing Norio taking the spotlight once more, and I’m glad she’s getting the recognition she deserves after all these years!!! For those that don’t know this is her second work to get an adaptation, the last being Mitsudomoe (2006) in 2010. That anime, as extremely crude, questionable (due to the characters being in 6th grade, it doesn’t seem like much on the surface but if you know the series you know) and cringingly hilarious as it was, it also had a lot of heart felt moments as well that are also pretty good (mostly better the daughters and dad) So it’s really cool to see her humor being refined and cringe as always 😂
I’ve always heard good things about the manga so I’ve been looking forward to seeing the anime and that first episode did not disappoint, looking forward to the next episode.
the boy is like "i'm going t kill the most popular girl in school, but not now" also the boy" i'm meowing like a cat in a fight, what's wrong with me" good to see side characters grounded. that one dude saying he likes girls with some meat on their bones, he earned my respect.
I don't know if people are sleeping with this anime or the copyright is hitting too hard just like with To You Eternity but this has been one of the best romances I've ever read, personally I put it above komi-san, Takagi-san, uzaki-chan and Nagatoro
I started this anime with pretty low expectations and man the first three episodes have really surprised me. I'll definitely be watching the rest of the season and recommending it to friends
It was in my list since december 2022 and was announced for winter 2023 but it cane in spring 2023 .... Worth watching anime ... The mind of mc is like a small part of my mind eventually
It's really wild that it was similar to the British series It's the End of the World, bcs both mcs were very edgy, but I'm glad that The Dangers in my Heart deviated from it and it turned into this wholesome series.
It may contain SLIGHT SPOILERS: The dangers in my heart is by far one of the best Slice of life mangas Ive read. I recommend reading this manga because its a rollecoaster of emotions. Its a story of two people who are "worlds apart" due to their polar opposite characteristics (Ichikawa being dark and alone and Yama being bright and social) that try to cross paths and be part of each other's lives. We all know the saying that goes "Opposites attract" Their best moments were ichikawa's graduation speech and yamada's rejection towards Najou by saying "I like someone (ichikawa). My Hands are already full. I cant take it (While holding the corgi dog chain gifted by ichikawa)
I gotta say, the animes art style is a lot more of what you see in slice of life animes but the manga to me always had this style to it that made me think it could go into horror or even echy really easily.
I don't know about perfection but it sure as hell surprised me. I'll watch all the episodes. However, this is anime. Keep a weather eye on guys who think like that in real life.
Absolutely disagree with the Nagatoro comparison, those two characters have nothing in common except being girls. Seems that nowadays Nagatoro has become the default romcom to compare other romcoms, which is weird. I've seen many people, mostly anime newbies, do the same mistake.
