    No reason to explain what is not perfect with your methodology if it is good enough for you. Keep up the great content! Would be great to hear more about how do you program those probing macros!

    Yes I agree, there are lots of keyboard warriors out there mate. My first test cuts yesterday with brand new tools came out pretty much spot on. Keep up the good work Peter. Cheers, Aaron ;-)

      No i didn't delete anything. Im always looking for the best deal on machines, but for the price you pay to what you actually get I'm seeing a lot of areas of concern on these machines. Which are undeniably chinese white box goods with whatever sticker they feel like putting on them. Seems to me these companies are high on promise and low on fulfillment. Have you got the low speed rigid tapping spindle sync issue figured out? That would be above my head, and seriously urk me on a new machine.

      I would have to see some evidence of their claims, other than their claims. There is a big difference between manufacturing and branding. China is notorious for the rebranding of things that all get made in the same giant factories. Syil's website tells me they are not a major manufacture of anything, thats just marketing b.s. Hell your video 1 week later is on Syils website. Thats not the kind of advertising a major company puts on their website. I am 100% sure most of Syils claims are pure b.s. their website wasn't registered until 2015. What would be more likely is they are BUYING from the same casting supplier as Okuma, Brother etc. Meehanite does not recognize Syil. Im sure beyond sure its unsubstantiated marketing wank. Aside from claims, i see zero proof. Matter of fact the "Syil V850" is the EXACT same machine as "First MCV850" made by Long Chang. None of their claims add up.....

      you obviously have no clue. you think Hass makes their own castings or linear rails or ball screws, or any other brand for that matter. it is what you do with them and how much care is put into setup. Peters machine has a Seimens controller on it what other small VMC has a real indutrial controller, not many. Maybe you should actually do your homework before you bad mouth someones machine that they paid their hard earned cash for. when you put your money on a machine then you can talk. lets see a video of your machine shop!

      Rule #1, never read the comments.....
      As for evidence of the claims, the numerous videos, photos, conversations with not only the CEO, but the lead engineer is enough evidence for me an a number of other people. Syil have about as much evidence as any other manufacturer out there, and so far everything has met the expectation. So not sure what 'evidence' you're looking for.

    It reads pretty impressive, your precision is very good, please remind this aint a mazak, fanuc or dmg mori ! You get actually getting a good fair amount of bang for your buck !! If possible you should perform a ballbar measurement this wil back your findings in your excel spot on i guess... Thanx for posting, very interesting topic on this equipment !

      @BoumanserviceNl 6 лет назад +2

      @@betztechnikindustriesltd.8901 while you have a load of measurements and so getting an accurate average, i bett you a ball bar would confirm your findings. I gues that will be a very small grain of salt 😁

    Great content, thanks for sharing.
    i think that what you are measuring with this type of test is the repeatability of the machine/probe rather then the accuracy . if for example the pitch for the lead screws is slightly longer or shorter then this type of test wont reveal it since the test will have the same error as the part being measured.

      Hi, thank you. The lead screws were calibrated (with compensation table) with a Renishaw laser interferometer so they are moving about as close to the indicated amount as possible! Of course the tests I did were not perfect but I think they are still quite meaningful.

    Amazing results. Quick question about the control. Are you able to change the units of the control to imperial? I live here in the US and although inches and feet don't really make much sense in the grand scheme of things, it is what my brain thinks in. Having to convert back and fourth in my head the whole time while running the control would frustrate me.

    • @betztechnikindustriesltd.8901

      Battle Resistant Outfitters good question. I know you can have your program run in Inches, but as far as switching the control over completely I’m not sure. I will ask and let you know.

      @@betztechnikindustriesltd.8901 that would be great. I know using G20/21 will let me run a program in either. I just have yet to see anyone upload a video with the entire control in imperial

      @betztechnikindustriesltd.8901  4 года назад

      It was about half when I bought this version of X7 (as compared to a similarly equipped Haas MM2). The new X7's are a fair bit more money, but they are a lot more machine. Epoxy granite, side arm tool changer, Siemens spindle driver and servo, etc. All of this adds to the cost but you end up getting a lot of machine for the money.
