SHE AND PATRICK WE'RE DEFINATELY THE BEST COMBINATION OF THE WHOLE SERIES! HE HAS SO MUCH CLASS AND SHE HAS SUCH ELEGANCE!
🙌 👏 🙏 🤝 👍
Oui, quelle classe !!!
Just my opinion but having watched television for over 65 years I can honestly say Diana Rigg was the absolute hottest woman ever to be on screen. I still say it today. She was beautiful, classy, intelligent, funny, and very sexy because of all of that.
Are you kdding me?
I was a 6 old boy-- doomed I was so in love with her.
58 yrs old now- still am.
Psst- don't tell my wife..
I don't know if this guy is the German equivalent, but Michael Parkinson said that she was "the most desirable woman" he ever met (she appeared on his show -twice- three times), and obviously he'd met a LOT of beautiful women - he said she had a "lustrous beauty" (I guess he was trying to avoid the over-used "luminous"?), so whatever it was she radiated on-screen was there in person as well. What a woman.
I'm mid-50s now. I think it was the Linda woman who succeeded her on Avengers I probably first saw. All I know is, she somehow became my 'Ideal woman.'
@@MadMax-dr6mf I think her successor was Linda Thorson?
@@hornerinf You bet and as much as I loved Diana, Linda was my personal favorite!!
She is stunningly beautiful and both of them were elegant and classy!
totally
...the only woman, James Bond married. R.I.P. Diana ❤️ 🇬🇧🇩🇪
That was honor blackman who.married bond not diana another avenger girl before bond
@@florrie8767 Aww cmon...
Did you see Goldfinger?
@@florrie8767 did you watch O.H.M.S.S. from 1969 ?
She married George Lazanby
Yes, “ON HER MAJESTY’S SECRET SERVICE” the novel and the movie.😢
This interview never ceases to make me laugh. It's just so awkward and surreal. 😄 Pat and Di were a great combo. In a fantastic alternate universe, there are more Emma Peel episodes. 😂
I was hoping that McNee would have unleashed the umbrella of doom upon this drunkard.
In an alternate universe, I am with Emma Peel.
Diana Rigg always had that smirk or wry smile that drew you in😍. Yes, and legs, and figure, and athleticism, and intelligence, and humorous disposition, and class......In short, a marvelous actress 😀. She and Patrick were the Avengers we'll always remember!
🙌 👏 🙏 🤝 👍
'all time world class' she was amazing.
Bloody smart girl and super witty 😂one might say quirky 🥳😆🤗
Talk about 100% Class.. she is Smoking Hot.. and Patrick is just as classy too.. this is why this show worked.. it was the actors and the characters.
I couldn't have put it better myself wonderful show that still looks class today
Frederic Salgado I found it abit slick, compared to the episodes w Cathy Gale (Honor Blackman), better written, acted & more credible. NB: I DO hold these two in great affection.
Absolutely on target! Superb!
Yes, it was them but equally important if not more, were the scripts. No one would have watched them if the scripts were shit, no matter how gorgeous and classy they were, so... Give the writers credit for GOD'S SAKE! JESUS!
🙌 👏 🙏 🤝 👍
Joachim starred as an Investigator in many German made Thrillers! Very good Actor in the 1960's!
Diana Rigg was a kind person. Her smiles are genuine. Unlike some.
"was" ?
The marvelous Dame Diana Rigg is still alive and well!
@@julianp2283 Dodger knows she's horrible now
Her 2 hubands might have thought differently.
@James Bond Really? What's my wife's name?
@@julianp2283 she's dead now!
BY FAR ONE OF THE WORLDS MOST BEAUTIFULL WOMEN!
The right guy for the job : Blacky Fuchsberger- a smooth German guy - very pleasant session
I bet Patrick and Diana had a good laugh about that interview afterwards.
Patrick M c Nee was such a gentleman,at all times !!
🙌 👏 🙏 🤝 👍
The way he speaks is so cool 👌
German people are so genuine and friendly. This fellow Blackie is wonderful interviewer . And of course Patrick a perfect gentleman and Diana a lovely and dreamy looking young lady. Wonderbar!!
I think Blackie is indeed a wonderful interviewer. But I dont think many german interviewers were like him in that time. He seems to have a "genuine" and "honest" touch in his interviews
He was an actor, too, who became a tv host in later years
My goodness, this interview was hilarious and surreal as well with the behind he scene takes, the intro, and the translations.....just like the Avengers.
I just love the idea that Germans were interested and appreciated the show and actors. The format was as it was. Perhaps subtitles were not suitable.
What I can say is that translating like that while running the interview is quite an achievement and a mark of skill. I was impressed with the overall format and the desire to provide a feel of the event in progress.
Naturally the interplay and reactions of both Diana and Patrick were wonderful.
This is a gem, and a slice of 1960's Germany that I am glad to have seen and has been captured.
RIP Diana Rigg and Patrick Macnee
One of the most beautiful women of her time. She was gorgeous.
Class and grace all the way. Patrick, also.
Awkward to have to sit there while the interviewer translate, but both stars were very gracious. Hallmark of their show,.
Fantastic show we loved here in America, superb acting by real talents. Diana Rigg always beautiful as well as always talented as an actor well before The Avengers. Always Brilliant. RIP Patrick.
Dr Mike Patrick MacNee is sorely missed over here. His passing marks the end of an era.
I met Diana Rigg in new York .one of the best days of my life
Fantastic beautiful English Voices.......... Diana is my best ...and most beautiful woman ever so there.....love her all of her.
God bless you Diana in heaven what a stunning beautiful perfect English woman she was ❤
The Classy Couple. We miss you both.
Diana Rigg's legs were terrific! Loved her, not only in a catsuit, but in mini skirts. My first crush.
I was always turned on by Diana Rigg, she was gorgeous.
"Short skirts and her long coats...." quote from elsewhere. Yup, those legs and all that class.
@@filmic1 there's a video on RUclips with her in it and the song playing short skirt and a Long Jacket!
Am I the only person who felt watching this weird interview a surreal experience !! Diana absolutely stunning of course.
No yr definitely not. See my comment above
Most beautiful woman ........and a very handsome man ........love Diana sheer beauty
Super!
God she was beautiful
Diana said that they were able to put there own lines in and improvise. When you look at episodes, you can tell.
Tolles Zeitdokument. Danke für Upload
Wow...what a creative interview. I love the translation breaks, and camera cuts .
Look how lovely Diana looks ❤️ And how great to see her with Patrick.
Diana and Patrick are, of course, The Avengers. I've seen Joachim a lot in the Rialto Krimi movies. This interview is a blast!
Joachim Fuchsberger did a wonderful job of elocution. I can easily understand his German as he spoke.
I just noticed their poses mirror each other when they first sit down. Such a perfectly matched duo. 💕
I liked how they filmed it like an actual Avengers episode.
I remember in Ye Olden Days how television was considered a "lesser" form of acting than film or stage. How things have changed! Olenna Tyrell would get 'em for that one! :)
What a surreal interview... _in the nicest possible way._
For a Surreal Show
Oh, how I love Emma Peel.
She was so hot. Unbelievable what crappy ‘actors’ we got now
Legenden! Alle 3
I've always loved Diana Rigg ( Mrs Peel ) so
Thank you for posting this interview
I they had such a great chemistry on screen & I love Diana's reaction at the end of this interview,
Thank you again
Such classy actors
Class. True Class. They don't make 'em like they used to.
She could have perfectly act as a diva yet she’s exquisitely natural and spontaneous.
Joachim Fuchsberger was still very young here. A nice interview.
Grüße aus Deutschland.🇩🇪
Blackie Fuchsberger was a fabulous "alles" (everything!). R.I.P.
YIPES! Diana Rigg was such a babe ... BOINNNNG!!!
Blacky
ja ist wirklich charmant:)
What legs!!!
mindsaglowin yeah Diana's legs are great looking as well
Joachim Fuchsberger was a very popular German actor in the 60s and 70s and later he got his own talk show where he proved himself as a marvelous interviewer and great host.
Did Patrick take a sly look at Diana legs, how wonderful magic everywhere.
Thanks for posting this! How awesome!
"I Can't help because I never read my script". LOL.
amazing!
A very special pair of actors!
Classic show.
RIP Diana Rigg
Perfect class
Diana was HOT!!!!!
Ohne Google Translater.....
She was my favorite actress.
loved those catsuits...She had the it factor...
Diana Rigg was a REAL beauty. I would have Loved to have seen her engaged in a deep. passionate kiss with the man who, i consider, to have been one of the most ruggedly good looking men of the sixties/Avengers one each with Honor,Diana and Linda. In Diana's case he was Crawford in "from Venus With love". LOVE the over the top "color" schemes they used AND the deliciously bloated.....MOTHER!.
for some reason the middle got chopped out of my last comment!. I'm talking of DEREK NEWARK, one of the 60's/70's most good looking lads.He was in the Avengers three times, one episode each with....
WAS! How dare you talk about my mother like that!
Edgar Wallace's book turned into Film "The College Girl Murders" 1967 starred Joachim...excellent Movie!
Der Mönch mit der Peitsche
Most beautiful woman ever lived!
I think Patrick Macnee is the most handsome man ever. Love him to this day at 49 yrs.old. He was so gorgeous. My favorite actor of all time. He was absolute perfection in my book. Love him for eternity. The Avengers was the greatest show ever. He was amazing. Such a gentleman. Miss him so much.
I love Diana ,ever
Gorgeous
Patrick Macnee was urbane, Diana Rigg was intelligent, witty, and of course, sexy as hell.
Diana Rigg was gorgeous the Emma Peel episodes of the Avemgers were for me the high point of the show. I found out the Beatles were even "Avengers" and Emma Peel fans. I know in 1967 Paul McCartney stopped at Diana Riggs home to give her a copy of "Sgt Pepper" which had just come out and said "I just wanted to meet you". Supposedly the cover for "Abbey Road" had ties to the Avengers. According to the son of the director of "The Hour That Never Was". I was curious what she found so funny about Macnees reading the last German line he spoke, but it has been years since I took a German class and not sure what he was supposd to be saying. MacNee supposedly frequently forgot his lines but Rigg reportedly never did. Luckily the Emma Peel years were filmed on 35mm film so the 50+ YO episodes still look good.
He said "viel Vergnügen", but as the umlaut doesn't exist in English, his pronunciation is, well, let's call it creative. But still understandable.
Thank you! I was puzzled about what Dame Diana Rigg found so funny and surprised because I don't believe she spoke German, although the English pronunciation may have been on the teleprompter or written card, whatever they used back then.@@davidwuhrer6704
The queen of thorns! I loved her character on GOT but didn’t know her before than. Time traveling with RUclips led me here. She was a Fox.
You should definitely check out seasons 4 and 5 of The Avengers. Diana was fantastic as Emma Peel. 💖
RIP Blacky and Patrick McNee
Lady Olenna Tyrell RIP
@@frankmartinschmidt She was a very lovely lady.
"Your bible? That sounds very ominous!"
Such a strange interview. What was all that about saying to Diana, 'before you started The Avengers you were an actress'?????? LOL. Thanks for uploading. Patrick Macnee, RIP. :(
Hairy Neck I think it's because she was an actress in the theater before THE AVENGERS. Perhaps the German press did not consider working on television to be "acting."
I'm sorry but that doesn't make sense. If Diana is acting a TV role (that of Emma Peel), then what else could she be but an actress - or actor. She certainly wasn't a bricklayer!
You're right, it doesn't make sense. But in the interview, Blackie says as an actor he faces the same issue.
Hairy Neck in the 60 ies or 70 ies theatre acting was higher considered as playing on tv, theatre was art, tv was time killing
Hairy Neck In that time in our Home Europe, you was just an Actress when you played in Theatre!!!!TV was in that time shit, like reading Comics and not Books!!!!Everybody watch over our IQ,not like today!!!!!
What a sweet good natured interview considering the War was only 15 to 20 years prior. The jovial conduct makes us see, people don’t make wars, Lunatics do!!
During wwll, Joachim Fuchsberger, as far as i know, Fallschirmjäger, so the two men could have killed each other.
The actors of yesteryear were so classy. Why do they keep showing the film crew?
Remind me never to do an interview for German tv.... well done them for patience..
Diana Riggs (Emma Peel/Olenna Tyrell) having now gone, the next superbly English actress I have always adored is Julie Andrews (Mary Poppins/Maria Von Trapp). Please, someone tell me she's doing great and is still alive and well.
Elle a aussi de jolies gambettes Diana !
Lady Olenna was good. She was very, very good
This was a riot - considering that every German in the 1960s understood English and could speak it!
B_llsh_t ! Even today many german folks - especially at the countryside - do NOT speak english properly - if at all !
What was up with the breaking to the filming crew every few minutes ?
And why did they have to keep moving the mic,...when the actors were sitting virtually motionless in chairs ????
brickley2000 I think that was just clumsy editing. Someone seemed to have the idea that it would make it all seem more 'on set' by showing that, I suppose.... but, yes, it is a bit nonsensical.
Brian Smethwick I think it was for the sake of interest, on the contrary.
interesting interview patrick had with conan obrien 1998 i think - i wonder if he spent time in germany prior to 1949 via his navy service and thought best to not mention it...... Joachim was very polite and hardworking
A very surrealistic interview.
And You? You didn't change in over 50 years?
@@dagmarkiontke...
You don't *_know_* that.
Anyway you're 3 years late to the party kid.
@@DrQuadrivium Everyone and everything ist changing all the time. My answer has the same vidality - today and three years ago.
how did they not burst out laughing! the most ludicrous interview I have ever seen.
The things that interviewer was coming out with was so bizarre!?!
There were certainly on their best behaviour and were absolutely charming.
All three in heaven now
Patrick, once told me a story about when Lorne Greene and he used to act on stage in Toronto, I do not remember the name of the troupe, he told me this around 1988.... Every time they would get a 'pittance' of pay, back then, Lorne would try to cajole Patrick into giving some of Pat's $ to him, to invest in a fledgling company. Patrick would always, politely, decline. Patrick said, to me, that when Lorne went off to Hollywood, for that "silly Bonawnza thing"(trying to get his accent) that Lorne was doing 'quite well'! "You see, Allen, that fledgling company was/is...........................................I.B.M. ! Lovely man, was Patrick Macnee! 🪐🌠
So in Germany the Avengers is called "Shim Sham and Baloney "?!?!?!?
🤗 Excellent! (it's "Schirm, Charme und Melone" in English : "Umbrella, Charm and Bowler Hat"
Those Lime green chairs...💚
In her prime she was smooth as silk
they should have used captions for each audience. Nuisance waiting for the translations.
I do agree
The interviewer did a lousy job. He talked more than the 'guests' that is not the purpose of an interview. Disappointing, only relieved by the charm of both Diana and PM.
+Robert Seviour On the contrary, compared to what we often see today, Blackie's translations are charmingly effected.
I don't think something is better because other things are worse
***** then think less. maybe that will help
I remember seeing this on ZDF
DANKE
Sehe gerade "The Avenger " einfach Klasse unsterblich !!!!😥
Oh, I loved the avengers! I watched it faithfully, I must say this was a very unusual interview. That must’ve been difficult to do for them. 9:02
