Hey! As I guessed in the end of the video, they lowered the XP required to level up Music, and they did it by a GIGANTIC amount, 41 times!.... So now is the time to level it up! (specially if they did it by THAT much by mistake lol) Should take about 10-12 hours total to get from 0 to 200! gogogo!
absolutely perfect guide! just returned to the game after a long pause and was a bit confused but you answered all my questions regarding the music system. thank you!
I want to add that asides of XP perks, there's also one benefit to legendary instruments, which is the perfect note gap being almost twice as wide as basic instruments one, making it WAY easier to hit every note perfectly even on expert
Thank you, very useful. I'm still a little confused about that tune "Call of the Ancient", you said "on the 2nd flute" but I have no idea what that means.
"Call of the Ancient" has 2 instruments, but both of them are Flutes. =) so when you select that music and it shows all its instruments, you will notice that both of them will be flutes, the second flute is the one I recomend =) ps.: On more recent patches, new music was added that are even better, you should check "Wyrdwood Leaves"
@@janlawrence12 rule of thumb, music with less than 55 seconds do not have Expert. But the UI tells you all the music sheets that exist (even the ones you don't have or cant play), so if is not on the list that show up when you select EXPERT, is because it does not exist.
wyrdwood leaves with a guittar gives you 350 xp for each song that is 38s long. Much better and should have been the fastest option. Try it out for yourself
During the event there was a quest, I'm not sure if there is still one now. So either you get one on the Trade post or make one, the basic one is super cheap and do not require any skill level Mandolin for example -> (nwdb.info/db/recipe/instrumentmandolint2)
@@dillonlin8259 By doing the Summer Event questline you get quite a few (in case you just wan't to level it up) but if you looking for a specific one, I suggest you checking nwdb.com, some of the sheet music drop from specific sources like "Call Of The Ancients" drop from Ancient mobs. I got a 3 sheet music randomly while doing chest run in Myrk so if you are not looking for a specific one, chest runs may be a good idea.
@@LastOneNW Oh thanks what a relief x_x I love just freestyling. Freestyling giving buffs is probably not possible, but hey at least we can freestyle. Hard to unlock?
@@yannaedc5934 Oh wait, by freely you mean without following the notes? In that case no, is just like a guitar hero, if you don't follow the notes it does not sound correct or give you rewards. Sorry I though you meant it had a cost to play or something like a cooldown you could only play a little bit every day. =p
I wouldn't say dead dead, but on a big pause, the game still changing too much for the kind of guides I like to make. Not fun to spend a week+ making something that gets obsolete in the next patch =/. When the game gets a bit more "stable", I shall be back =)
@@WalkerEMC Being 100% honest, none of the Leveling guides should be valid. The Gathering ones some may still be but there are ton of online maps that you can use this days that are easier and more reliable (updated). The only video that I think still valid to this day is the "How to Craft 600GS Items".

yeah... after probs 20 hours or so playing before that update I made it only to lvl 64, couple hours of playing after patch I was at 130, insane
Everything was straight to the point. No 20 minute talking for no reason. Thank you
Music does bring people together. I just made 2 friends by standing there listening to them play.

That is an awesome tip!
Hello . Thank yon for the tips. I play on series X and I just hit lvl 130 music. This is my favorite game
I stopped playing the game for a while now but I still watch your videos because they're entertaining, keep going 👏
Hey J, that is really cool to hear =) thanks a bunch!
Wow what a tremendous amount of effort you put into that... thumbs up... earned a sub...
This was extremely helpful. I'm an ex-musician and yet I'm terrible at this. I'll keep trying though. Thanks!

Hi! great guide, but what does the star mean beside some of the music? I can''t figure it out
This is highly addictive..
so if your disabled, what do you do? someone with hand problems/crooked hands
why i cant select expert difficulty? only the novice and skilled?
Some music does not have Expert mode
@@LastOneNW how do i know if there is expert de then?

What to do the arrows on the notes mean?
Nothing really, just another indication of what key to press, A = Left, D = Right, W = Up, S = Down

wtf is the mouse combo?

i thought they released a playable instrument... nvm
i got 200 in 5 days they must have changed it
