50% - 75% sounded best to me. I thought it sounded really good. I am really leaning hard toward getting one now. I wish they would have installed one in a dreadnought guitar to hear how the silo handled the low frequencies in a bigger guitar. I'm guessing 75% would be a little too boomy. Any feedback issues?
They are still working on it. I had no feedback at the show but it was mostly running through pedals. I did not try it flat and direct to the synapse speaker but most people have some external EQ at a gig anyway.
It sounds killer at a 50/50 blend, direct. I find it sounds boxy above the 50% range though, but holy smokes it sounds good. Don’t mess this up L.R. Baggs!😂
Agree with everyone about the 50/50 blend sounding the best but needs some adjustments on the 1k to 2k frequency that would make it a bit more natural. But its a solid representation
@@aaronshortmusic thanks so much for your feedback. I keep wondering how much the new mic technology will improve the tone. I’ve used the Trance Amulet M before. I liked it, but the Anthem fits my needs better. And if this one can get closer to capturing the tone of my guitar, I’m sold.
If they can fix some of the boxy and brittle sounds before release, I think this’ll work great in my GS Mini. Just hoping the $450 from Sweetwater isn’t the actual price.
Maybe because they are used for testing and trade shows! I believe there was a Martin there as well but I didn’t get around to playing it. There was a guy there that uses the Lyric mic and he played it and said he loved the HiFi Duet which I thought was promising.

Well a mic isn’t a pickup and the price is not yet final. They haven’t even finished designing the pickup yet. It could be more or less once it releases. Sweetwater are just taking preorders and I assume they will update customers once it’s ready to ship.

Thanks for being the first to do this. I can't wait until this is released. You can't go wrong with any of these settings.
That’s a nice sounding system. I look forward to your eventual full review.
Like pretty much EVERY blend system, the HiFi sounds best with about 50% Silo Microphone.
That was my favorite setting at the show!

Yeah I hear the 2k as well but I also hear it in the guitar acoustically!
Should probably change title to HiFi Duet :)
Nice, but can you do the same thing with fingerpicking instead of just all strumming? thanks!
Sure as soon as I get back to NAMM!
Thanks for taking the time to post this video! What were your thoughts about the Anthem in comparison? Or what was your immediate reaction?
I liked it in headphones and preferred the Anthem in the room but I am told there have been a lot of changes since NAMM.

I’m puzzled as to why they didn’t put the pick up in a higher end Guitar. Are those blue ridge guitars kind of an expensive Chinese made model?

Honestly…100% silo and just use a para di or EQ from FOH to pull out the boxiness would be perfect
