- In this video we discover some amazing fossils in the ThinkBox Prehistoric Dig Kit. Since the Smithsonian Gem and Dig Kit I have learned a thing or two about the best way to “dig in” to these type of kits! 😅 We found fossilized teeth, a crinoid stem, and a dinosaur bone just to name a few! It was a fun video to make and I hope you enjoy it!

Happy Hounding!
I do wish that they wouldn't dye the medium they use in these kits, but it is definitely still a fun experience and good practice. Glad to see that soaking it in water helped you saved you a workout lol
Agreed I wish they wouldn’t dye it either! I am also glad I got that tip about soaking it! It made it much easier 😊
maciek😀😀😀😀😀😁😘😘😘😍
National Geographic gem boxes are ok sometimes you get some nice rocks. They are usually pretty small and the grit they give you is half usable. Very interesting video!❤
Yes very true!
Great video, amazing fossils, surprised with the size, bigger than the fossil I've found so far, lol, and way cooler too. The water makes a big difference for sure.
Yes I was very impressed with the size of the fossils in this kit! It was definitely fun finding them as well!
Some of those kits can be really helpful for learning. Cool that the specimens are so big too. Great vid!
Agreed! I was definitely satisfied with the box! 😊
Definitely agree there. My kids really enjoyed the last block. They were so happy to find agates and other rocks. I loved watching their expressions while they revealed a new stone.
Yes it is so much fun uncovering the gems!
The bone is just a piece of s bone but very cool.
It is not a stingray tooth. It is a bone out of his mouth
She can teach me anytime 😂😂😂
For a kids kit, I thought it was great. Who doesn't like playing Indiana Jones. Soak all the pieces except for the stingray plate in soapy water then if needed bleach. Happy hunting! Be happy, safe and stay healthy. 😷⚒🦖🦕
Right it was so fun! Good idea about the soap bath and bleach I may have to try that! 🙌
My daughter loves "toys" like these.
Amazing video Ariel, thank you for sharing!!
Thank you Greek explorers!
the mosasoures tooth is worth the cost of the box
She has to be related to John Travolta! Or that is John with a wig on disguising his voice.
Lol I’m not sure if this is supposed to be a compliment or not-but I have never been compared to John Travolta in my life 🤣
Great kits for kids! How much did this kit cost?
Definitely-it was only $15! So a great price too!
That was kinda cool.. My nephew is going to have a blast on his next birthday 😀👍
Oh yay glad it was a good gift inspiration!
A manual soft toothbrush would have been gentler. ❤ you can also use an semi stiff artists paint brush not the plastic one that came wth it but a nylon one with finer bristles
I found a raw diamond in a creek about 7 years ago
It’s called a mosasaur tooth
Good job ✌️💎
Thank you! 😊
For the parents that think spending money on toys is stupid
Just bury a bunch of chicken bones in the back yard
Give the kids a spade and a paintbrush and let them explore and speculate on their own
i got one of these not long ago where you got pieces of a dinasaur skeleton that could put together, was fun but my little brother didnt like it lol
Oh wow that’s really cool!!
How much did it cost?
I think it was around $14-$20!
I'd say for each fossil is a dollar and the dino and mosuars is 5 dollars so I'd say worth it
When I saw the first fossil I thought it was a fossilized twig
Right! 🤣
@@AgateAriel that thing seriously looked like a twig like someone just found around actually found one similar outside once exploring our garage the one place we could find a fossil and somehow there was a fossilized twig out not sure what happened to it though it's been a while
Trash can it 😂😂😂
Ariel, you would make a wonderful children's teacher
Very nice review, great for kids to learn with. Nice job. Thanks for making the video.
Thank you! 😊
