  • In this video we discover some amazing fossils in the ThinkBox Prehistoric Dig Kit. Since the Smithsonian Gem and Dig Kit I have learned a thing or two about the best way to “dig in” to these type of kits! 😅 We found fossilized teeth, a crinoid stem, and a dinosaur bone just to name a few! It was a fun video to make and I hope you enjoy it!

I do wish that they wouldn't dye the medium they use in these kits, but it is definitely still a fun experience and good practice. Glad to see that soaking it in water helped you saved you a workout lol

Agreed I wish they wouldn’t dye it either! I am also glad I got that tip about soaking it! It made it much easier 😊

National Geographic gem boxes are ok sometimes you get some nice rocks. They are usually pretty small and the grit they give you is half usable. Very interesting video!❤

Great video, amazing fossils, surprised with the size, bigger than the fossil I've found so far, lol, and way cooler too. The water makes a big difference for sure.

Definitely agree there. My kids really enjoyed the last block. They were so happy to find agates and other rocks. I loved watching their expressions while they revealed a new stone.

It is not a stingray tooth. It is a bone out of his mouth

For a kids kit, I thought it was great. Who doesn't like playing Indiana Jones. Soak all the pieces except for the stingray plate in soapy water then if needed bleach. Happy hunting! Be happy, safe and stay healthy. 😷⚒🦖🦕

Right it was so fun! Good idea about the soap bath and bleach I may have to try that! 🙌

A manual soft toothbrush would have been gentler. ❤ you can also use an semi stiff artists paint brush not the plastic one that came wth it but a nylon one with finer bristles

For the parents that think spending money on toys is stupid
Just bury a bunch of chicken bones in the back yard
Give the kids a spade and a paintbrush and let them explore and speculate on their own
