It’s nice to see this early animosity played between Colleen Zeno and Ellen Dolan since The recent recast of Margo. The effort to carve a new identity for Lily is taking shape. Seeing her gain leverage over business contacts is too Lucinda-ish, honestly.
Yes but I am not crazy about Heather ratrey as lily at all compared to Martha or noele beck who was terrific as well and don't forget Doug Marland wrote for noele at loving as Trisha alden for around 6 months begining in 1984 and I think Douglas would have prefered noele over heather ratrey as lily bit at the time she resigned as Trisha alden at loving. But would leave in 1993. The other thing is that people keep blaming Kelly menighen for the change in Emily after Doug marland died but it was not her fault at all and she did stay loyal to the show after melenie had her family emergency in 1990 and at least Doug Marland wrote Kelly properly just like melenie as Emily stewart and the other one is Andy kavovit but if we remember Doug Marland teased at Christmas time 1992 he teased that he intended to write Andy back in as Paul and finally do a Paul Emily redo so in no way was it rogers fault at all years later. And roger was the best Paul besides Andy compared to John Howard or Scott holroyd but if writers like hogan and eps like Chris goutman can't figure the heck out how to write Paul corectly and like how douglas wrote Paul then that's on them not the actor and by the way Andy should have been brought back as Paul in 2001 and did a Paul Emily redo then VS doing the Emily Hal pairing but again I think hogan and Chris would have messed that up the same way they screwed up with Scott Bryce as Craig back in 2007 with their insistence on writing Craig like tonio Reyes and that's just the way it is.
Plus the one and only Emily . Kelly should have played a different character she just wasn't Emily. Plus both Melanie and Andrew had amazing chemistry all night all. ATWT. AW. and GL. Along with SEARCH FOR TOMORROW always had the best casting those 4 remaining trash all suck none of the actors have any chemistry . That those 4 soaps had. Especially when it comes 2 another world which especially had the most talented actors and actresses. Another world guiding light as the world turns and search all had the best couples stories acting everything. Those 4 remaining shows will never compare.
The one and only actor who was the only paul they should have fought a lot harder 2 bring him back. Roger Howarth just wasn't paul 2 me . Roger was a lot better on both loving and. And yes I agree jeffrey it would have been better if Douglas back in 1992 had thought of roger to have played Paul's fraternal twin brother and thought of before hogan sheffer years earlier to have given Lilly a fraternal twin sister and named her rose and had Kelly play that part. But like I said melenie was not coming back long term and that's when they found Kelly to play Emily but when Doug Marland was still alive Emily was still bieng written the same way douglas wrote for melenie and don't forget Andy did visit as Paul that December and Douglas was going to write Andy back in as Paul by Summer 1993 but he died in March of 1993. And remember I told you I think Douglas made a big mistake by as soon as melenie had that family emergency. Not rescuing out to aw to have had Sandra Ferguson do double duty for 8 months as the new Emily Stewart and then sent Andy over to aw to have been Sam fowler number 4 instead of Brian Greene for around a year then just brought Sandra and Andy back as Paul and Emily with a child amd married then did the Paul fraternal twin and lily fraternal twin storyline begining in summer of 1992 VS the holden amnesia story. But again please don't blame Kelly for all that stuff after Douglas died with how Emily was written and she did stay loyal to the show I think because personally she wanted to resolve the whole Paul Emily stuff that happened due to melenie needing to leave the show sudenly in 1990. And look Paul and Emily did finally get together permanently during the last year of the show and jeffrey if I had my way what you said about roger and Kelly I would do to remix and reset atwt so it would litereky look like how douglas would have atwt look today even if it meant changing some of his stuff but take charecters that other writers brought to the table but remix them so it would like how Doug Marland would want it to look if he were around today and don't forget Doug Marland Co created loving too. I guess I am one of those people like atwt that never recovered fully from Doug Marlands death just like you are not over aws cancelation and jeffrey that's another one I would remix but that one you would have to remix and reset much deeper because Donna swajeski really screwed up the show and it just continued except for a few bright spots which was when John valente was ep and Carolyn culliton was headwriter before Jill faren phelps came in and just re screwed up the show. And guiding light too another one that just got way to messed up. It's sad but I am hoping all 3 p amd g shows can come back but just look like what viewers want and expect.
