Nestor is a great guy, family friends with my Cuban grandfather, we get his families Christmas card every year! Met him in Miami when I was ten and the first thing out of my mouth was "You're Richard!" he had a good laugh and chatted with us for about 20 minutes. Great dude, very humble, and entertains my Papi's granddad jokes better than I do sometimes. Great stuff Michael!
Cool interview. Nestor Carbonell impressed me on Suddenly Susan, Lost, Bates Motel, and Psych. It was great to hear a long, detailed interview with him. Laughed when he was talking about his writing.
Nestor was humbling and insightful. Great reason and love towards his wife and kids while tempering his career. Thanks Nestor for a great conversation. And thanks Michael for a great interview! Bravo guys!
Nestor is such a lovely gentle and down to earth man and I like the way he interviewed you as part of the episode it definitely made for a more in depth conversation. Thank you for having him on the podcast I will certainly be checking out his work 😊💖
This week’s episode is delightful. Nestor definitely opened up and he has so many great stories. I enjoyed his role on Psych. He definitely has a positive outlook and attitude. A part 2 would be nice. Best podcast ever!!
I'm so glad that you said that college is more than an education. I was bullied and an outcast from kindergarten through high school graduation. Starting college was my first experience with people accepting me for who I was and realizing screw the kids who didn't. I grew up so much and learned how to interact with people for the first time in my life.
I'm going to be so psyched to watch Nestor on screen and will think back to how charismatic he was in this interview. You bring out the best in people Michael!
I was lucky enough to meet him at my local comic con and was just awesome. He is such a great person . We had a nice conversation and took some picks . The man is truly a great person .
Nestor such a talented character actor. It's a nice Justice League Unlimited reunion since he voiced El Diablo in the episode Weird Western Tales, part 1.
Just about to start watching this!! Thank you Michael for always getting the best guests ❤ Thank you so much for asking my question too!! You are the best ❤️❤️❤️ Happy Tuesday 💙
Another pleasant discovery !❤ I know Nestor Carbonell a little through The Dark Knight and Lost. I’m always eager to hear about your different carees through your families stories , what you do perfectly, Michael, as always !🙌🙌💙💙💙👌 and 🙌🙌💖 Ryan.
Oh, wow. Wasn't he also in The Tick sitcom as batmanuel and later in Dark Knight (I think he was the mayor or something, but I always thought that was cool and wondered if that was an homage for the fans or just a really awesome coincidence)? He's great. I haven't seen him in anything in a really long time but I would say I always noticed him in anything he showed up in after The Tick. He's awesome.
You have to watch him in Bates Motel. He played the sheriff who may not have always been on the up-and-up but was a terrific guy and he was awesome in the part!
Guy is such a great character actor. He's one of those guys who's a bit of a chameleon; you know you've seen him before, but the roles he plays are so varied that sometimes its hard to nail him down. I'd completely forgotten he played Pasquale Acosta in Smokin Aces and had that epic scene in that movie with Ray Liotta where the two of them had the close range shootout. damn, I really wish I could've submitted a question, because I would've loved to hear him talk about shooting that scene (no pun intended) with the late great Ray Liotta.
Great episode.. Rosey, have you seen the glasses for colorblind people? I've watched a few videos of people using them and it's life changing for them... Good luck on the strike and keep up the awesome work!!!
Did not think it was possible to like this kind, humble, and talented man more than I already do. Thank you so much for this very endearing and uplifting interview. You both are a true inspiration 🙏❤️.
I really enjoy your interviews man, they're unprententious without being dumbed down or dull. Theyre unpolitical and uncontroversial, I mean im sure you have liberal leanings, but I feel like you could have an interesting open converation with anyone sound and interesting, and theyre grounded and touch reality in a genuine real way. I love how youre not looking for zingers or soundbites or even obvious attention grabbing questions just good pleasant conversations on interesting topics with interesting people. Its also cool that theyre not the most famous people but the next tier who I think are probably naturally a bit more open and relatable. And this was a great interview as well.
Though I am not familiar with this person, he is really inspirational! Makes me want to watch Lost. Very good podcast, Rosey! Can't wait for next week!
😊 Wow. You have the most interesting guests. As a failing actor myself, it's so interesting to listen to you guys swap stories that are so relatable. I am looking forward to your next interview 👍.
I love Nestor! One of my favorite roles that he played was Alex Romero. He was so bad ass but calm and cool at the same time. I loved he and Norma's relationship, I was so mad that Norman ruined it.
His performance on Lost and Psych! And off topic in relation to this video but.. Bring Allison Mack!! Want to hear her side of her twisted crazy story (I dont know if it is possible since her is still in sentence at home and we dont know if her mind changed to something good, but Im cant wait to hear her version of the things on NXIVM topic)
Then you didn't watch the final episode... YOU COULDN'T HAVE; they explain it lol They are ALL dead since the start and went to Heaven, don't care what anyone says, thats the plot.
So is he Steve O's brother or something? when I heard about the whole living in London, American school and father working for Pepsi international that was my first thought.😅
It’s still crazy to me seeing Ryan working with Michael, his RUclips sketch group the warp zone who I grew up on have done endless superhero sketches, so seeing him with the greatest Wally west in our time is still a bit jarring

Nestor is amazing in the series Bates Motel, definitely one of his most iconic roles.

Inside of Michael Rosenbaum with Nestor Carbonell. Loved the back and forth between them.

The ending of LOST was spectacular, can't believe people hate it
A DJ at a Roller Rink! That brings back memories of the 1970's eh!

William Fichtner, David Dastmalchian, Néstor Carbonell... slowly but surely rounding up the full Nolan Batman cast. 🦇
Glad that he happens to give us the opportunity to talk about Smokin' Aces (2006) appropriately during the Dark Knight bit (because movies)
Amazing!!! Guest!!!!💙🤘
Looking forward to listening to this one and learning more about him.
I started watching shogun recently and Nestor’s acting Rodríguez is GREAT!!
Love Nestor from Lost, The Dark Knight and Psych. Dude is the man. I love how they addressed his scene in Smokin Aces with Matthew Fox.
You have to watch him in Bates Motel. He played the sheriff who may not have always been on the up-and-up but was a terrific guy and he was awesome in the part!
Best episode of Lost is his solo episode in season 6. Such an incredible presence.
My favorite episode, too!
What an amazing interview... just do personal therapy is life!❤️❤️🌹🌹

You got an hour and twenty minutes with Nestor Carbonell, and *no one* mentions "The Tick"?! I don't understand anything anymore... 🤨😵💫😩
Lost after season 2 blowed. I don’t care what anyone says haha but I’ll forever remember mr. guy-liner 😎
The Cuban Anthony Perkins
Him and Carrie Anne-Moss have made you one degree away from Christopher Nolan!
I wonder how Nestor's family built their wealth in Cuba.
