Pete, really good job on these first 3 steps. I particularly liked the stop-action sequence of building up the front part. You may wish to consider using this approach for other parts of the build as well.

Brush paint very small parts or if you have an airbrush see my outlaw paints video of the F1. Tip.. use blue tac to hold pieces your painting.
