Interesting build you have here. I have been working on this kit on and off for 10 years, converting it to the I-58. there's a lot wrong with this Lindberg baby so I had to do a lot of research and adjusting..still not finished. Your version is looking nice! 💥👍💥
Keeping some information in the web in mind, this Lindberg Kit is quite far off the original. But to build a correct model, the necessary information is not easy to find, since there is not a lot of documentation left. I got my hands on one of these models too and I was thinking about building a RC submarine out of it. The sheer size really cries for it. Nice work anyway!
Very true, the bow of the real ship is shaped differently, the hatches on the deck are massively in the wrong scale, those are the worst points off the top of my head. In this case I just didn't want to fight with all the inaccuracies. I have some majorly detailed projects coming up, so this one was more for fun. I toyed with the idea of turning it into a RC sub as well but I don't know enough about RC subs. LOL
