Too bad you didn't have the 2nd gen Artist 16 Pro at hand, so it would've been a comparison between two 1440p displays. Your positive review of the Kamvas gave me some peace of mind though since the DHL guy should deliver mine any day now. Since you mentioned screen protectors: Are there any makes/vendors you can recommend? Do you know if there are accuracy or parallax issues with thicker screen protectors?
I had the Huion first and xxpen sent over this one for comparison - can’t quite remember if the 2nd gen artist 16 pro was available at the time or if this was the one they wanted to promo more? I still use my Huion every day, only thing is I’ve had to adjust the colours since it’s a bit more saturated than my main monitor - easy enough to adjust though :) Most screen protectors are very similar, I’ve picked up cheaper ones and more expensive ones and there isn’t much difference imo. Huion sell an official one on Amazon but the reviews don’t seem to be very good. Unfortunately the ones I bought aren’t sold anymore
@aribuwu nope! It does need some colour correction/adjustments on setup to get it to match your monitor (colours are a bit saturated at first) but otherwise works great :)
@@kdsketch oh I see! I’ve seen people complain that the fuzziness bothers them. I had a matte screen protector on my iPad that had the same effect and I couldn’t get used to it so hopefully i’ll be able to ignore it on the Huion 😭 Also, does it get hot? Or are there any issues that I should know about? Ty!!!
Thanks for the reviews! Do you happen to have any contacts at Huion? I've found a vulnerability on their website but haven't had any luck making contact with them. Thanks for any help.
The plain glove comes with the tablet - the cat decorated one was part of a PR package BUT I wouldn’t recommend as the detail had a slight silicone feel and interrupted the glide of the glove on the surface!
That's a tough one because I'd be happy working on either of the tablets. I prefer the 16" size but I really like the screen quality, felt nibs and stand from the Huion. If you've never had a screen tablet before and want a good size and don't mind buying a separate stand I'd go for the XPPen. If you want it all in one package then the Huion is a good option. A tablet I used for a few years before this was the artist 13.3 pro from xppen. really nice tablet, would recommend that one too :) Sorry if this has made the decision harder
I have purchased a Huion model based on your recommendation, after hours looking at reviews, comparisons, about Wacom, XP Pen Artist Pro 16 (2nd Gen) etc. At the end is huion pro 16 2.5k. Do you recommend a screen protector or is it really not necessary? If so, can you give me some indication? Thank you. The factor that convinced me was the colors and the 300ppt /rps.
Hope you like it! Tbh I don’t think I press particularly hard on the screen when I draw but after using my tablets every day for years I’d say a screen protector is worth it - mini scratches do build up over time and if you keep the screen in good condition you’ll get a better price if you decide to sell it when/if you upgrade later on. I also don’t have to worry so much about wearing down the pen nibs either if there’s a screen protector 👍 glad the video helped!
"If you have a bit more budget and going for a larger screen ÿou may want to get a better display" Do you mean as in the Huion you have or do you mean a better display than the Huion.
If you’re going for something like a 20” or more, look for something that has a 2.5k resolution or higher. with larger screens you’re going to see the pixels and it can look a little blurry in comparison. The huion looks super crisp :)
I bought the old version of the kamvas 16 Sucks that it only HDMI bc I have another monitor I use but my graphics card only has one HDMI 💀 Also kinda wish they had vesa mounts on the back bc I really don't want to dedicate an entire phone stand to it for something like vertical mount
Are you enjoying the older version? the Kamvas Pro 16 is my first Huion tablet and I'm pretty impressed - I'd happily use either XPPen or Huion over Wacom now :) My graphics card only has one HDMI slot - the other I had to get a converter to use with my tablet/other monitors I wanted to use. I'm not sure if you can get adaptors or something to go on the backs of tablets to mount them differently? For BIG tablets (ie 22 inch +) I'd probably have to look into ergonomic arm mounts...
@@kdsketch it's a good tablet Cost $300 tho 💀💀💀 The only bad thing is sometimes the little scroll bar doesn't work correctly, maybe thats just with the software I use But the connection to the tablet is proprietary and sticks out, unlike the 90° angle connectors of the new ones Yeah I don't think there are vesa mounts for them but I just thought it would be nice if they had them as a part of the tablets You're probably not going to travel and work with a 16" tablet right? Might as well give it a vesa But I doubt huion would do it
@@n0raaFTW Hi about the mount, I saw that someone reviewing the kamvas pro used a vesa mount and altered it with a separate x shaped grip in the back to hold the tablet up. I found that that looked doable and a good way to hold the tablet but I think that one might have to be a bit techy to execute that? Since it may involve combining two mounts 🤔 Worth a try tho and looks cool so I've been looking into that

No more xp product for me. Maybe I'm just unlucky, but my xp pen 16 lasted only for one year coz the display died. Using Huion kamvas now, for almost 3 years and still going great.
A lot of people like Kofi because of the low fees compared to Etsy and Gumroad but you do have to drive traffic yourself. Etsy is a marketplace and does have it's own customers but the fees are VERY high :)

Yes you can have a single cable power connection just be aware it will drain your laptop battery faster :)
