Wow. I love the April 72' photos they used on the back. Also on ebay I have seen quite a few of his Japanese 45s with the picture sleeves in very good shape. Good video sir.

It's official - you're addicted. Yes, you got most of the info right about the Japanese records you bought. They look like really clean copies. That's the biggest problem with Japanese releases - finding clean gatefold sleeves. If that dealer said the "poster" version of Aloha was rarer, then he was wrong. That was the first edition and it's much more common than the one you bought, so you chose well. Nice finds!
Thanks David 👍🏻 that certainly feels like an official stamp of approval 🙂 I rushed to get the video filmed as soon as I got home so didn't get chance to do any research, but I got your book out afterwards and found the info identifying everything I had. I think the dealer got it right about Aloha and said the one I took was the rarer, which is a shame in a way, as that turned out to be the only one with a couple of scratches on the vinyl!

One of the sellers at our record fairs has got to know me, and contacted me last week to say he had just bought a huge collection of Elvis vinyl at auction, and was giving me first dibs on it, before the next record fair! I chose eight, and as soon as they arrive I'll be previewing them on my channel.

I’m an English ex-pat living in Perth, Australia these days. I am trying to get all the UK releases. There are a lot of older ex-pats here and a lot of people brought their UK collections with them, so I do find them locally, but I mostly buy them in England and have them sent to my sister in Bedfordshire, then have her send them in a bundle from time to time. Like you though, FTD, MOV, MRS and other new releases slow me down! 😂

Oh wow, that Christmas gate fold LP is to die for. The Japanese gatefold booklet records are unbelievable. I have a penpal over there.... I think I might ask her to scout around for me and buy up some vinyl. It might cost me in postage, but where else would I get them! They turn up at record fairs here from time to time but are snapped up. What is the story behind Music On Vinyl? Re releasing original LPs on coloured vinyl - is that all?
If you could get hold of some of the Japanese pressings I think it would definitely be worth the postage. You're not far off with what Music On Vinyl are, but they're really high quality 180g pressings and sound fantastic 👌

Great video , I have a 100 odd Japanese LPs and god knows how many singles etc .I love them . Japanese really know how to do a cover etc . Looks like you need to buy David's book ,I have one myself and highly recommend it

That's a nice little haul, but i know nothing about Japanese vinyl. Always enjoy your videos, you have a great collection.
