    Nice vid. Good tutorial. People don't realise, if them baring crack on route. Your going nowhere. And try finding boat transport in an emergency. Is hard. So as you so expertly demonstrate. Take care of things at home. Piece of mind is priceless....

I'm looking to buy one myself and after watching several video's of you ik know now very well how i have to take care of mine in future. Small thinks, great results. You're boat looks in very good condition. My compliments my friend.

    Hi Graham,Great video as usual.Unfortunately the salt water damage is done to your trailer here in Australia after launching when your out fishing and the trailer is baking in the hot summer sun all day.I would run a product by the name of saltaway through your nice engine also. If my tinny is going to be laid up for a while I'll fully dismantle,clean and repack my bearings and hubs with fresh marine grade grease.Also it's a good idea to spray lanox or inox or something sold over there containing lanolin under the engine cowling every few trips. I really enjoy the fantastic videos you guys put out even though we fish differently here and for other species especially with bait. Cheers.

    I am starting out from new so everything from knots to bait to rigs to what is the best conditions ! is all things I need to learn ( which I am through your channel ), many thanks again and hopefully more cooking your catch videos ! (I'm no Jamie Oliver lol)

      Yeah those kinds of edits, I mean they have their uses like everything else and all but I'll be happy to see them gone, unless of course the next editing fashion 'thing' is much worse.

      Nope not a Hierarchy secret, just the simple case that the owner did not want to publicise the lake and we respect his decision.

    Really good common sense video! My Shetland 610 sits in the Norfolk Broads so has to be anti fouled. I didn't see anti foul on yours so assuming you take it out of the water regularly. They've removed all the public ramps here and those that are left are often costly and sparse making getting your boat on a trailer a very time consuming job with 4mph speed limits. I think most people just pay every few years to have their boat taken out for a couple of weeks for treatment. I have no where to put a trailer anyway.

      Hi Steve, I had not idea surimi sticks were that soft. Bait elastic cotton cuts deeply into it. Tried cocktail of surimi with black lug and had no luck. They took fresh dug a lot better, but even that was slow going. =Man, these fresh dug bleed a LOT. = Everything worked against us that day. Good for tourists, not so good for anglers. Best wishes.

      Hi Jaak,
      Thanks for that. Yes they are soft but if your gentle its ok. You could soak them in Fish Oil and put in a swim feeder too.

      It comes inside the gross train weights range.That's why I chose the 60hp instead of something like a 75hp.

    • @robfnet
      @robfnet 7 лет назад +1

      I had the same thought, that must be over 750kgs. My hull is only 300kgs and I have the same yamaha. But trailers and 150>200kgs, the when you add fuel and batteries, anchors, chain and rode is is surprising. Took mine to a weigh bridge at a local scrap yard and it was just over 750kgs. So I fitted an Alko axel with sealed bearing, flush kit and brakes. Take it and get it weighed Graham, better safe than sorry. Plus, with a flush kit and sealed bearings it is no bother. Also, try bearing savers, they are ace and keep grease under pressure in the bearing so water can't get in, I ran for 4yrs no problem.

    • @jonschannel5850
      @jonschannel5850 7 лет назад

      robfnet glad it wasn't just me.
      Also depends on the towing vehicle used. Each car has an unbraked trailer rating. The vehicle didn't look very big, but I could be wrong. It's based on half the kerb weight of the vehicle for an unbraked trailer.
      Not having a pop Graeme, just thought it's better to be on the right side of the law should something bad happen.
      My old MK4 golf is only legal up to 600kg total weight Inc trailer, motor, gear, fuel etc etc unbraked..

    • @robfnet
      @robfnet 7 лет назад

      Yes, there is a limit per vehicle some less but no more that 750kg in the UK. 750kg is the maximum for unbraked, no matter what you are towing with.

    Top video Graham especially regarding the wheel bearings. I heard you were out with Wayne on thresher yesterday did you get any cod? Was east of nab next to the tesco carpark of boats on the fingers myself and managed one at 10lb, the fog was a nightmare

    • @TAFishing
      @TAFishing  7 лет назад

      No Cod.......Dogs,Whiting,Pouting,a decent conger and a close encounter with something large in the fog .Quite an experience but I got some nice "moody" fog shots.Looks like the weather might close the door on Cod trips for a bit,but I heard of a couple of mid twenties caught and apparently plenty of Bass offshore on the drift.

      @andycooke109 7 лет назад

      +TAFishing yes I spoke to a guy at Northney at the end of the day and they had some decent bass on the lures drifting the banks,. looking forward to seeing the fog shots if you upload them

    Graham 3,500 miles of towing. It may be worth checking the transom remember all those miles of towing with the engine attached. That's a lot of a heavy engin bouncing about on the transom. This video made in 2016 it is now 2018 almost 2019 that's a lot of bouncing.

    • @TAFishing
      @TAFishing  5 лет назад

      I have often wondered about the strain an engine must put on the transom even on a trailer that's static.I trim mine down and rest the lower unit on a block of wood so it doesn't pull on the transom. Can't do much about the bouncing when towing though ...got to love the quality potholes we now have in the UK.

    Hi Graham! I have a Wilson flyer with the same trailer as yours. May I ask you a few questions from your experience? Does your winch handle interfere with the bow when winched up tight to the bow post? Also, does the centre spar on yours bend? My trailer was taken apart for re galvanising just before I bought it & I am adjusting it all as it was put back together wrongly. Thanks for any help & keep up the great video’s! 👍🏻

      Sidewinder. Favoured colour is called Rhubarb and Custard. Specially for Cod.The Pollack also take them in black,or try an American Black Bass worm ,its black but with a red tail.We call them a firetail.

    I notice that its a bunked trailer as opposed to rollers. I've got a bunked trailer to keep my SIB on but I thought for a fiberglass hull rollers would be better ?? Is this your preference and is it better than a roller trailer for this kind of boat

    • @TAFishing
      @TAFishing  6 лет назад

      Probably rollers better,but this was the trailer the boat came with when I bought it.

  • @juliemeechan4044

    Peter Gore Seer,
    I Put Redex In Petrol, That Boat Needs A Folding Down Screen, Its Just Acts As A Sail At Sea, And Front Ankor Hatch, But Its A Good Boat, I Dont Like Big Out Boards, But I Fished In Morecome Bay, With As A Few Rivers, Which Brings Drifed River Debris, If It His Hit At Speed Your In Trouble, I Cringe When I See Speed Boats Ratling 50MPH.

    • @TAFishing
      @TAFishing  7 лет назад

      The weight of the suspension ? The units themselves ? Or what load they carry ?..I just changed mine and I think there were two sizes,a standard,and extended. If I recall I think it was over 500 kg...per unit .Might have been more I can't recall.
