  • How to create clusters for earrings and bracelets 😄
    🌸
You will need 3-5 mm stones
For larger beads i am using 3x5 czech glass Rondells
    24 Gauge ball head pins
    6 mm jump rings
    Earring connector
    Directions:
You want to have 2 stones facing the front and the back of the charm and 3 stones on the left and the right of the charm.
for earrings, I attach clusters differently than bracelets. Bracelets dangle at a different length and earrings are more of a short cluster.
for earrings when the stone is facing front of the charm, I add 2 stones on the front the jump ring to the connector is in the center, and 2 stones in the back. Close jump ring.
slide jump ring through previous jump ring on the earring & add 3 stones on each side & close jump ring. This way you’ll have 3 stones on each side with the earring dangle in the center. If you want to have more stones continue pattern. Add another jump ring with 2 stones, have earring connector, jump ring in the center, add 2 more stones close ring. add another jump ring with 3 stones on each side and the earring connector in the center. Close & add a jump ring.

I could watch you wire wrap stones all day - your process is mesmerizing. I love the wire wrapped look, but feel like a three handed chimp trying to get nice uniform results like yours. 😊 And I really appreciate the explanation of how you achieve the different dangles. I have made several pair of those enameled heart earrings and my clusters all bunch up. I’m going to take them apart and remake them using your suggestions. THANK YOU for all the inspiration! 😍

when creating clusters depending on which design you use do you wire wrap them? I have seen other designers that just use simple loops, to me simple loops don't seam to be as strong, and look right.

Thanks a lot. This was very helpful. Few questions on the material: What guage are the headpins and the ear wires? and where do you get them from? Also the stones, what is the best place to get them? Thank you. I have trouble finding non-tarnishing material, especially the gold ones. They go bad so fast.

I sell the ball bead pins, 24 or 26 g on smaller stones. Ear wire from hobby lobby- you can find small stones @tejas beads or @ Lima beads

Can you please explain something to me? At the 40 second mark, you say you rotate your pliers up and around… I don’t really understand what you’re doing or why… (feeling a bit dense here)… 🤦🏽‍♀️ Why pull it all the way down and then pull it up again? Couldn’t you just pull it out to a 40 degree angle to start with? How would it make a difference either way in the end? Maybe I need to look at a pencil drawing/diagram to visualize what you’re saying, I dunno… 😂😅

Hi. I hope what I say can help. She's showing her way of doing a wire wrapped loop. It's more secure and gives a nice look. If u look up "how to make a wire wrapped loop" u will see her way and other ways of doing this.
