i dream of having a house in a remote village to be more connected with nature. Interacting with kids is just another blessing
Ok Russia is waiting of you there are many villages there , but no russians in germany, NEVER!!!
@@user-xp8qt9of8t🤡
Yeah, come on. There is no job, no business and no future in village. You can find job at emergency, police and school for too low money.
@@Fravashi1 thats the problem from russians government, who dont no invested , but in germany we have the same problem in villages, but not so hard like in russia
He’s an incredible human. Thanks for another fantastically produced documentary.
This is the way China pulled herself out of powerty. Young teachers, scientists, experts etc moved out into the countryside and developed not only argriculture, roads, etc, but also educated the local population.
Ein wahrer Patriot seines Landes! Ich respektiere Nikolai und seine Arbeit!
Amazing!!
I’m a teacher too in a much more smaller village. Arte came too.
All the best to the teachers who changes life in remote places round the world.
I’ve been to different schools there! One friend, an English teacher, left to Kuwait…
German was fully reduced in 2019 and from optional made to “after school” and substituted of Chinese…
An intelligent person without any crazy ambitions who is of a really big use for the society. I respect him. I wish teachers were paid more in Russia.
THANK YOU for a moving portrait. !n 1973 I was a Black schoolteacher in a village school situated 220 kilometres northeast of Cape Town [South Africa] and I can identify with many of the elements in this portrayal. Danke.
Don't be f... Ridiculous that is not like black Africa 😂😂😂
Thank you for briging up memories of my very first years of life. I am German by birth ( Australian now) but I was raised for the first three years in Berlin, listening to German, Russian and English. My father spoke Gernan and Russian because he worked in East Germany and my mother spoke predominantly English. The combination of the three just brought up a flood of memories 😢😊❤
I’m lucky to have this outstanding channel here in France.
25-30K Rubles a month is equivalent to the monthly salary of a school teacher in Bangladesh who has experience of at least 7 years. This is not enough for anyone who lives in the big cities. As someone who used to work as a teacher in Bangladesh, I'm shocked to find that Nikolai makes so little!
In russia outside of Moskow or other big cities the standaard of living is really low unfortunately
Are they look poor? With free healthcare, free school and high education, low taxes etc.
@@annalehman93941well, basic health care might be free. But if you want a better or good quality of health care you have to pay yourself. Standard of health care, especially outside of moscow and st petersburg isnt high. He is not living far away from moscow (right around the corner for russian standards), so its okay. But especially at the country side you have a lack of (qualified) doctors and run down poly clinics.
I appreciate the subtitles. I like to hear the languages, the people speak. Thank you

Voila. This is a kind of power. All over the world. While others are not going back to work in their own countryside not to say warm inside WC but with the normal every day comfort.

Beautiful doc.... Really got a different perspective and point of view...likes it
Beautiful people
Incredible story, thank you. His AND the little childrens resilience is amazing. Also, like this if you also sang along to the ABC song 😂
Shows that no matter the country or political differences, we're all the same ... we all treat our teachers like trash.
Lol. Though, I think there are countries where teachers are respected. Like... Finland? Maybe? But yeah, surprisingly, that's mostly true.
Who told you such nonsense? Your own projection?
I respect the teachers all over the world because I respect myself. I respect the people, but a person has to qualify to be a human being. ❤❤❤😂
What is your education?
@@user-uk3nx8cn4u In most countries, teachers work extremely long hours, for very little pay. That's why I said they are treated like trash.
Interestingly, there's a sigh in the supermarket, a vacant manager position, 40000-60000 per month- that' twice more then Nikolai gets. Teacher really SHOULD earn more, they invest time, effort and much money into becoming professionals.

He found family, love, peace of mind, a loving community and a stable fulfilling job. What is there to regret?
True. I myself is an English teacher from a small town in Siberia, Russia. At the begining the kids are really interested to learn a new language. But then they are not willing to go further as a language learners. Why? Because they have no one to speak English with. And the classroom is an artificial environment and it isn't enough to practice what is learnt. Moreover the great number of children will NEVER go abroad when they grow up and they know it. Why? Because they're as poor as sin. It is a sad thing to say but it is true. It's just as simple as that. Secondly low salary and low language level of the teachers. I mean they do teach grammar rules and books which is nothing when it comes to the real conversation. Teachers who has never been abroad teach children who will never go abroad. There are a few exceptions of that rule of course.
But of course Russia has money to sustain war and kill their neighbours....for others not and find excuses like yours ..Pathetic slaves of Russky mir you are 🤮
Tickets Irkutsk - Beijing cost about $100. I've just checked. It is indeed "so difficult to go abroad". What kind of fools are you talking to? Tours: 12 nights Phuket, 4*, all inclusive, $500. Pattaya, Philippines - $500 Maan, what kind of fools are you writing for?
Why are you talking nonsense that Russia is on the way to becoming of kind Soviet Union? The Russian capitalist government is fighting for resources for itself with other capitalists. This has never happened in the Soviet Union. The Soviet Union fought for people's lives, for peace on Earth.

Bah..i watch Russian tv and they're talking about climate change..🤔
One neighbour died in the crazy war of aggression. Life goes on.......that is Russia today.
That's anywhere, today as any other day
1 (one) neighbour died in ~~ 2 years of war -- from the relatively BIG village.
It's not a war of aggression, you either defend your kinsmen who are under threat from Ukrainian nationalists and have been since 2014, or you don't. Russia decided to defend them, and I as a Russian wouldn't have it otherwise.

Are they russian (I mean, by ethnicity)???
Tajiks. They're a peculiar kind of people who migrate to the Russian countryside, not only Russian cities.
We have many immigrants from Tajikistan, Kyrgyzstan and Uzbekistan. In this case, most likely the Tajiks.
There are not just immigrants but also Russia's own 190 non-Russian ethnicities of any religion, culture and race (except Black, obviously)
@@mrobocop1666 Russia is multiethnic - like many other countries in the world.
But these ethnic groups do not live in the Tambov region, which is 97% ethnically Russian.
And in general, there are 81% ethnically Russians in Russia.

I hardly doubt it. Temperatures in the area can get as low as -30 degrees during the winter. At least in couldnt get used to that
@@weirdunicorn9120 I'm from Russia and I used such toilets at -30°C when visiting relatives in the village. That's quite an experience for me as city resident, but they are used for it.
They do it quickly, but for the first time I was too slow and so lost feeling of my hands while using toilet paper and water lol ( I brought warm water from the house, we are Tatars, Eastern European White Muslim people, and Muslims always wash their asses after taking a sh-t )

A very caring man. Unfortunately, a lousy salary isn't the only thing he'll be encountering. The Russian educational system is making a forceful turn to the militaristic far right. Teaching geography will be a controversial subject... how do you discuss why national borders change or why countries go to war in such a country. Not to mention how teaching English, an important world skill (and one that can literally save your life if you have to leave Russia to avoid being tossed into a meat grinder) will become the language of 'the enemy'... the 'ango-saxons' as the Russian Z propagandists love to call it. Sorry, but Kolya and his lovely family won't fit in that version of Russia.
