Wow! What a chapter and insight! I love hailstones did not touch Israel. I also was reminded as Joshua defeated their enemies by the edge of the sword. We defeat our enemies with the Sword of the Spirit, the Word of God!

God loves to humiliate the pagan "gods" by using their powers and realms against them, showing who is really in control. Look at the plagues of Egypt for another great example. No creation will never be able to compare to the uncreated creator. Jesus lives ♥️ and is God 🙏🏻 Christ ✝️ and King 👑
God is not to be deceived, and the believers on Jesus Christ resurrected, will not be deceived God assures un HOLY SCRIPTURE. amen in the name of YESHUA.
Pastor Guzik, are these kings the same kings mentioned in chapter 9 verse 1? Because nothing else is mentioned about the kings in chapter 9 after saying they gathered against Joshua. And if they are the same kings, one of them is a Hivite king and the Gibeonites are Hivites.

Velikovsky also noted that there are records among the ancient Americans that speak of an extraordinarily long night in the same approximate time. @@DavidGuzikEnduringWord thank you but specifically I’m looking for Velikovsky source for that information I’ve come to believe it’s a misinterpretation of the events when Joshua saying what he said being a bad omen for the Amalakites. I just want to judge which interpretation is likely correct.
Pastor Lance replies - Not necessarily. Not a lot of writing was happening at that time. So what was written would have been known widely. We know about the books of the NYT bestseller list - yet there are millions of books published every year. Imagine when it was rare for something to be written.
The promise that Jehová made to Abraham was fulfilled in the conquest by Joshua . But because of their idolatry Jehová threw them out of HIS Land. Jehová destroyed Jerusalem in 70 AD, hence HE destroyed their temple , their sacrifices, their religion. They, to this date are still in rebellion to Jehová, thus they are without Jehová ! “ no one goes to the Father but through me!” “ you will not see me, until you say “Blessed is he, who comes in the Name of the LORD”. Matt. 23:43-46, “ the kingdom of God will be taken from you and given to a nation that will bring forth fruit”. Yeshua is coming to gather his “Bride”, the Church. The house of juda is still living in the old covenant, Christians are in the New Covenant.

The Gibeonites acted as Jacob, the Israelites' forefather.

So whoever wrote the Book of Jasher had to have written it before Joshua wrote the Book of Joshua. It had to have been someone who was with him?
