- Here's a job from October 2022, a big Black Walnut beside a parking lot with nowhere to drop any wood. So we brought in a 40 T crane to help. This went smooth. I am not an expert.

Exceptiona use of the hook & great communication.
"Helluva job"! Smoothly done Patrick. Greetings from the UK.
Happy Easter Pat. 🤘😎✌️
Same to you 🙏
Curious to know the reason for the decline of this Walnut? Any ideas? Thanks of all the content over the years Patrick. Greatly appreciated.
I was waiting for you to give a Latin species name to the forty ton crane. 😂
Great video has always Patrick I would have loved to seen you climb and rigged this tree out I know it would have been a lot of work I would love to send you do it great job as always God bless
✌️
As usual, thanks for your work. Just a curiosity: I see that you now tie cow hitches (with two half hitches) where you usually tied "daisy chain hitches". Is it because you find one better than the other, or are they interchangeable?
Cow hitch can be tied under full tension, so it's perfect for crane picks, other hitches are tied loosely and then snugged up...... - Patrick
Great to see more content Pat. I just finished reading The Fundamentals today. Took about two months and I'll be re-reading for sure. I'd love to hear more pod cast from ya, especially the episodes about small business operations. Cheers from Idaho, USA.
That's how I imagine the job going except I don't have a bucket truck, or a crane. Extremus frustratus
How do you determine the weight for the crane to lift before you cut? Is there any mathematical calculation involved? And what's the tune you're whistling?
sounds like excitable boy by warren zevon to me.
