We got a lot of requests for this so hope you enjoy EVERY single secret in Chapter 5! Including an insane hidden weapon I love using (and yes obviously statistically out of millions of players someone will have found it but you get the idea, it's very easily missed)!
One thing you forgot to mention here, is the final gourd upgrade that takes it to +10. You'll need to talk to the old gourd dude at each point you encounter him, have your gourd to +9 and then you encounter him near the 2 giant fire dudes. Talk to him and then he will upgrade your gourd to +10
Another secret item is the Spirit of that giant iron ball after it falls off the cliff with our boar buddy. Just go back to the emerald hall shrine and make your way back up the mountain normally and you will see it crashed into the rocks on the edge. Simply interact with it and the spirit is yours. Pretty cool spirit if I say so myself!!
I’m sure you’ll cover this in the chapter 6 video. If you kill all 6 frogs then level the frog spirt summon to max it becomes mythical and will do a random frog per use, add the curio that avoids elemental defense on enemies and it does massive damage.
For the horse guy, you don't need to interact with him at the cart before fighting the boss. Just make sure you meet him throughout the chapters before. My first playthrough I only met him after following a guide to find all transformations. I killed the boss before knowing that here was his final location.
You for got that you can get the Iron Ball Spirit after it falls. It lands on the way back up the mountain after the Emerald Hall shrine (before where the 4th cart was).
also something that isn't mentioned is if you fully upgraded your starter gourd you can turn it in to supreme gourd if you go to the cave at the end of one of the lava paths after entering rakshasa palace.
Just so you know you can get the big ball spirit if you go back down to the palace and work your way back up the mountain. You'll find it broken on the left going back up.
Along with the white seashell waste chain, in that same area the fire wizard dudes can drop the Thunderflame Seal, which considerably increases maximum mana.
@@gorillainacoupe420 I've done it 3x and the stance wasn't even worth the 3rd run tbh. It isn't even a permanent thing. The final relics are also the last picked for a reason it's more to just mid max the alternative suozi armour but personally I'd suggest after the 2nd and getting everything it's not really that deep to keep running it after honestly.
Side note, the horse guai is not trapped in the gold cart. If you listened to his dialogue, he 'gave his life' fighting it. You fight his spirit in the fight against the Guardian.
One thing you are missing that pretty much everyone missed is a secret mechanic on the last boss of the Chapter 5 secret area. When you initially fight him, he is using fire attacks. If you break the ice wall behind him either by having him run into it or using the wandering spirit to headbutt it, a crack will open. If you walk through that crack while the boss is still alive, he will chase you into this hidden area and he switches from fire attacks to ice. This 2nd area is smaller but there is loot in this area including a chest or 2. But wait there’s more, there is an additional 3rd area. In the far back left of the 2nd area you will see some stairs leading down, covered in ice. Slide down these stairs and the boss will chase you again. This time he has both fire and ice attacks and the fight gets harder (from what I can tell). I cannot confirm this but supposedly the boss drops additional loot if you kill him in the 3rd area. From what I read it is a curio, higher quantity of crafting mats, and (possibly) additional bull horns. Again I can’t confirm the loot personally because I killed him in the first area and I’m not back to him yet on NG+ but from the very little information I was able to find this is what they said.
@@christianjohnson2275 yep I literally did the same thing a few minutes ago. To get to the 3rd area you need the boss to put the flames out with his big ice attack. No extra bull horns unfortunately. I will say fighting him in that 3rd area was crazy once you get him below 25% health. That 3rd area is so small but honestly how cool is it that they even put this mechanic in the game. Not only does the boss have phases but you get extra cut scenes and the boss switches elements. Glad I was able to experience all 3 areas even if I didn’t get extra loot.
@@knives6683 No what that means literally is I'm watching videos and exploring every nook and cranny of each level instead of rushing thru it. It's hard but if you do the prep work it's beatable.
@@atlgameslayergamingThats actually hurting you to an extent. You dont truly finish the game until you finish ng+3 with the true ending completed every playthough. Doing every single thing now is burning you out of what is a much longer journey than initially anticipated.
But why is nobody talking about the crack in the wall after the bishui monster fight because you can go back and explore more like there is a missing boss
It isn’t another boss, it’s the same boss but the is a hidden mechanic. Where you first fight the boss he is using fire attacks. If you don’t kill him and run through the crack he will follow you and he switches from fire to ice attacks. There is also a 3rd area from here. In the back left of that 2nd area if you jump down the stairs that are covered in ice the boss will follow you again. I believe he then has both fire and ice attacks here and this arena is significantly harder because it’s much smaller. Cannot confirm but I believe the boss drops additional items if you kill him here. I killed the boss in the first room and I’m not to him yet on NG+ but I am very close.
ive just discovered a new broken build using a spear from erlang. im happy to share it with you if you want to make a video of it. ive posted a gameplay of it on my video.
Does anyone remember the giant fox from the promotional material years ago?? I assumed he was the fox girls brother but I just finished this chapter without seeing him...cut or dlc maybe 🤔
There's a chance of the thunderflame seal curios dropping from the dudes with thunder magic in the same location the white seashell waist chain drops. Also after the emerald Hall shrine you'll find the spiked ball with spirit to grab
Heads up the bull kings set I would recommend saving 2 horns if you are going to play new game plus. I made that mistake and can’t get a new amazing weapon until chapter 5 fml
That's no anything special, it's the wukong stance, after it builds up and u use a heavy he says some shit like "see what the great sage can really do" only to get it from what I've seen is too be on ng+4 after beating it 3 times
@@gorillainacoupe420 Better than most games that don’t reward you much at all in NG+ and on, aside from carrying over items and levels from your previous run.

They probably have to. Most walkthroughs were out a week ago with only a few fresh things reported this week. All I know is I’m holding onto that golden shrine thing until the devs say it’s useless lol

Left from the giant shield warriors, in a cave

I'm glad to see there's more to the frog bosses than just getting an achievement.

as for me, I did not interact with the horse guy at all, what I did is pull the string twice before the boss and still got to the secret location.

I got the weapon from this and burning damage is underrated in this game does way more damage then I expected

Just finished getting 100% on this yesterday. Amazing game but grinding some of the certain items was absolute pain.
If you haven't beat it 4 times, you didn't get 100%, there's a hidden stance once you beat it 3 times and have all relics maxed
