I grew up in the sixties and seventies listening to this music period, and the best way I can explain it is they are not just taking us back to that time but also bringing it forward for a new generation to experience what we did in terms of entertainment, music, performance, Style.

@@phoenixthemeanix0620 Anyone who ‘grew up in 60’s & ‘70’s’ listened to J-5 if they heard pop or r&b radio. When they popped up on the Ed Sullivan show, that was crazy! Yeah we had seen groups like Temptations & Four Tops on t.v. in suits originally, just like generations before saw groups like Platters & Ink Spots. But to see kids the same age as you rockin huge afros, bell bottom pants soul hippie clothes with dance steps AND bringin the music wit funk beats, etc., THAT was brand new. Crazy! Soon they had their own cartoon, also unheard of til that point, like 1970. The groove on this tune is actually reminiscent of the Jackson 5’s Never Can Say Goodbye.
It is the attention to detail: the warm tones on the set decor; the style and colors in the clothes! The work put in is evident at every level : the perfectly crafted songs, the lyrics every little thing! Thank you, it's good to get input from the technical side !
Attention to detail...that's it right there!! It looks and sounds like that part of the 70's, but modern, and the fellas make it work. They are 3 for 3 thus far, and I think that album is going to be something else!!

WHAT IT IS, IT'S THAT, They took a beautiful sound of 70's oldschool flava (Stylistics, Blue Magic, Delphonics GAMBLE AND HUFF) and made it THEIR OWN. This song can be also mixed with Micheal Jackson's "NEVER CAN SAY GOODBYE" it can be a great mix!

They are the best duo/ collabo since Redman and Meth! I haven't laughed this hard in months. Bootsy Collins who did the prologue in the beginning he named the two Silksonic. You see they paid homage by having the big stars in the background. I would love to see you do a vlog on how Bootsy Collins" music and his influence on modern music seem to be creeping back into the mainstream each decade from Redbone(I'd rather be with you) NWA( I'd rather be with you) etc...to his protege Anderson.Paak.

The "Hercules, Hercules"-part works so well because Anderson has such a great talent for syncopating his voice (he uses it constantly in different ways as a singer and rapper).

There´s a couple more Eddie Murphy things in this video that he did back in his SNL days. ´Hyme Town´ sketch. These guys had a blast making this album and joking around. I love it that these dudes make the single best production in ages while goofing around. Awesome songs and fun lyrics and videos. Enjoying this a lot. Bruno my number 1 artist for a long time. Hooking up with Bootsy for this album is pure gold .

Great music and performances BUT the entire album is ruined by terrible sound mastering- compression makes the album sound like a murky stew. I've been listening to it on a $25000 hi fi system. Such a disappointment.
