Instant Classic album ! Love your reactions to this group Joey!
“Who’s on the drums?” “Who’s singing?” Bruno and A.P did their thing
Anderson Paak is on drums the whole album.
It said also Bruno older brother.... Eric Hernandez
@@Lacaza3 that's cool but he was on drums on all except smoking out the window.
@@Jess0410 it’s ONLY Anderson!!!!!!
@@Jess0410 they updated that on Spotify and Apple Music, it’s only Anderson.

This deserve to be the album of the year. Really great reaction video
I love it when Joey points out the tiny little atomic details that I never realized even after listening to the album multiple times, makes me appreciate the album even more. Thanks man!
Same 💜
That's like Bruno when it comes to music. He finds really small mistakes that need to be fixed that not even major producers hear. Makes sense why he takes a long time releasing a project.
He's the best at that.
Track 1. Intro - Sets the stage for what's about to
go down
Track.2. Leave the Door Open - Lady catches his
eye; starts spitting God-tier level game
Track 3. Fly As Me - Gets the girl; both of y'all out
and about and styling
Track 4. After Last Night - Y'all know what
happened here; ish so good dude's catching
feelings...
Track 5. Smoking Out The Window - Turns out she
ain't the one; dude starts talking shit to save face...
Track 6. Put On A Smile - Dude looks inward,
acknowledges what he felt was real even if it
wasn't reciprocated
Track 7. 777 - Time to move on; we in Vegas
spending money baby!!
Track 8. Skate - On the rebound and hollerin' at the
ladies
Track 9. Blast Off - Back where we started but
somewhat wiser...and smoking a blunt while we're
at it (or maybe something more potent?
This is the best recap I’ve ever read 😁
Great recap dude
👏👏👏👏
Yeah then repeat the album over and over because you didn't learn the lesson the first time
Fellow Indian listener of Bruno Mars omg I barely see some Indians 😭😭😭 got taste my friend
I’ve been listen to this album over and over again. The fact I’m still able to come out of every song recognizing new sounds or tonal changes with the vocals just peppered with some toned town instrumentals in the back. They really blew my mind with this album. People keep saying Bruno and others have a heavy influence on the production, but Paak needs some more respect. If you listen to his album Malibu, you’ll understand why I think Paak has more of a hand in the production than people think. He’s on a completely different level. Loved your reaction and your channel man.
Woooooord!
Put some damn respect on my man's name. Anyone who's been following .Paak knows that he's one of the biggest influences on this album sound.
Exactly, the production and sound must be Bruno-esque because of the details but the rhythmic aspect of the album which has a significant influence is from .Paak
Well, Anderson said Bruno and DMile were on production and are credit as such along with Babyface, so youll have to take that up with Andy. That's not a slight at Anderson. Don't know why yall get so sensitive. All 3 did their thing on this project so just enjoy the music.
@@feliciasanders2066 exactly, I think they just feel like the reviewers/reactors are not giving much credit to Andy.
@@michaelacquah-allotey1615 Every reviewer I've watched have done nothing but credit Anderson so not sure why his fans keep whining.
Bro ever since the album came out I'm watching these reactors... ALL I WANT IS LUCKY BOY TO REACT MAN
Haha you are not alone dude.
sorry adele and taylor but this silk sonic album is
one of the greatest albums of all time
up there with hotel california thriller
I see u everywhere lmao
I said the same thing. I couldn’t believe I was even considering putting another album up there with Thriller, but 🤷🏽♀️
Sahi h bhaii Bruno the best ever 🔥❤
Yeah - I think Adele actually said something similar about this Lol!
I see you everywhere man😆😆🤣
Bootsy cut his chops as a bass playing teenager in the legendary band of James Brown. He has way more than just an “ear” for this music. He has lived through, played with, and experienced first hand the evolution & growth of multiple genres of Black music. He is that dude!
The harmonies on blast off are literally the most beautiful sounds I’ve ever heard.
18:58
playing that song before going to sleep is like being at heaven it relaxes me a lot
"I feel like I just got high" Yh, my idea is that the whole album is a naartive and at the end they're done with vagas and staring at skater girls so they just got high under the starts in the desert
Lmao this was my thought process too I was like Ayo this is a story then Skate and Blast off came on and I was like ummmm nvm lol
@@Jrockjp You got it right the first time. It is a story. Skate is basically the dude on the rebound. Blast off is the counter-point to the intro. The intro sets the stage for the story to play out (tracks 2 thru 8) and Blast Off is the tail-end where we fade out on a natural "high".
First thing i did when i saw the album hit was ger high af... so worth it. Not a single song isn't a banger. Skate was my least fav and in the context of the track list it's still fire af
Andy did all the drums except for one. Atleast that's what I read.
I'm just happy that he's finally getting this publicity. As a drummer and an equally huge fan of both of them, I effing knew this was going to be a magical album.
I shouted like a mofo when I saw Anderson in leave the door open.
which one didn't he play on?
@@ethanrebel1039 smokin out the window? probably?
14:01 Yes, is Bruno... He has a phenomenal voice especially in a Put On a Smile.
I've watched a lot of Silk Sonic album reactions and you do one of the best break downs in terms of musicality and especially picking out the instruments that 'normal' listeners wouldn't hear. 👍
Absolutely beautiful album perfect collaboration ..beautiful instrumentals incredible breakdown as always joey thanku so much love and God bless x
Love the reaction. It's awesome to watch someone who can truly vibe to it and geek out over details most people miss.
"Blast Off" track
Bruno - Vocals, Guitar, Guitar Solo, Percussion
Anderson- Vocals, Drums
D'Mille- Back Vocals, Bass, Keyboards
Remember that before Bootsy became the legendary "Bootzilla Ba-by" he played bass for "The Legend" James Brown.
These two pushed each other to bring best in each other! LOVE IT!
This is a SHOW !!!! CHECK OUT REAL THE STRINGS
THIS IS WHAT WE GET WHEN ARTIST take their time to out out real music! GENIUS
My top 5 favourite songs on the album

Andy!
It’s giving off that 70’s vibes it’s giving Parliment, NewBirth , greatest sounds 👍🏽🔥🔥🔥🔥
I was waiting for your reaction 🙏🏽‼️
Nice reaction Joey! Thanks for the educated breakdown of what I was hearing and feeling
but couldn't put to word. Lucky enough for me I was a teenager in the 70s and was exposed
to some of the best music in many genres.
This whole album is definitely a vibe I've been waiting on since losing
our beloved Prince, his concerts were epic!
I've been missing real music with real instrumentation and can't wait to experience
Silk Sonic live! I look forward to your future reactions. Cheers! Xx
PS My favourite track is 'Put On A Smile' it drop kicks u in the heart. LOL
FInalllyyy!!!! Been waiting for your content sir! Thank you so much :)
Once you "leave the door open" it opens you up and leads you into this silk sonic journnneeyyyy.. Put on a smile made.. wait.. MAKES.. me cryyy everytime
I think you're my favorite reactor
you are confirming and adding to me more details 💜
Keep going Joey 👏
Randomly stumbled upon your channel with this video but I love your analysis. I'm someone who wants to eventually become a producer or at least be an executive producer and hearing legit breakdowns and quick notices in a song helps me to learn more about the song. Love this
My fav Bass has to be on Fly as me and I love we get TWO songs for Anderson to just rap like the BOSS he is. There is soo much inspiration on this album I don't think I'll ever be able to name it all
Stumbled on your channel and was enthralled with your detailed review of the music. It was so entertaining, informational and just made me want to listen to music a little deeper. Game changer. Thank you
I was hoping you'd hit this to just nerd out with me from a music production side of things. The chord changes and dynamics are devine on this whole album.
I enjoyed listening to your reaction. You definitely know your instruments and vocals. It’s an educational and it’s entertaining hearing your commentary. 👍🏼
I enjoyed this muchhh! Can't get enuf of your reaction vids.
YOU DO KNOW YOUR ish!!! Thank you for the EXCELLENT REACTION!
Anderson did drums on every song except Smokin Out The Window. The great Homer Steinweiss played on Smokin'.
Nope, Bruno's on the drums for "After Last Night"
Except after last night*
@@SriLankanStuff Also smoking out the window it was bruno's brother
@@Wootah1964 oops you're right! I missed that one
@@jhondhaelmontano608 Credits say Anderson drums (1-3, 6-9), Bruno drums (4) and Homer Steinweiss drums (5)
Love your reaction videos, this was great!!!
Always love your analysis. Thanks.
You should listen to their apple music interview. They really went into details about the album
"After last night" has bootsy written all over it 🔥
Much awaited ❤
It feels like i’ve been waiting for this reaction video for months
Wow... You know what your talking about!!! You are first person I have heard say The Delfonics. New sub just for that.
Damn, you clearly study old school music. Great references.
This album represents all the different styles of 70's Soul and just about every group and artist of the era (1975 to 1985 from age 6 to 16 for me) is represented in this project. Parliament, Funkadelics, Roger Troutman, The Delfonics, Heatwave, Marvin Gaye, Curtis Mayfield, The Dramatics, Switch, The Manhattans, Confunkshin, Grand Master Flash and the furious 5(777), The Jacksons, The Silvers (the harmonies), The Osmonds (the harmonies), and more I can't think of at the moment!
You are so lucky man I wish I grew up in that era. I know this was like a trip down memory lane for you lol
@@AckeeandSaltfish omg! You have no idea!
Another great reaction broo!
This album Is sooo chill date with amazing wine and strong chemistry between you & your date
Loved your reaction. You really did a good job analyzing the musicality and production of AEWSS as you are a music producer yourself. I hate it when I came across some YT reviewer who says that their vocals coach or something but has no inputs on the excellence of this duo vocals. Yes im dissing you Tristan Paredes..
What's going on Joey? "Incredible Album" from very "Incredible Artists"! Perfection in the making! (Old School with a modern twist) Finally "Real Music", for the "Real Music Lovers"! About "Damn Time", even the new generation enjoys and appreciates, this type of music I grew up with! My opinion (After Last Night: sounds a little in the being like AWB: A Love Of Your Own, 777: a little like AWB: Pick Up the Pieces and Blast Off: a little in the being like Bootsy Collins: I Rather Be With You) I repeat just my opinion! Alright my man good review, take care and stay safe!
This WHOLE album is Fireeeee!🔥🔥🔥... the whole album👏🏾👏🏾 it makes me wanna cry🥲 it's so GOOD!...Bruno and Anderson snapped on this one. Their vocal chemistry is Amazing! They're killing award season next year😁.. Great video
My Top 3:
(Fly as me)
(Put on a smile)
(Smoking out the window)
I wish we could see your full reaction with every song not skipping
The key change in After Last Night after the big chord from the horn section makes me cream
I love this album
Love or loved?

😍😍❤️
I've waiting for this
been waiting 2 days for this
Love put on a smile! I questioned who was playing drums too? Wonder was it Anderson or Bruno’s brother Eric? Just nasty! The whole album has every piece for every situation you are feeling.. baby face helped them with put on a smile
Anderson is a drummer first that’s the whole point in the collab ..it’s not Eric
first album where I have had goosebumps on every track, the vocals are absolutely stunning, the tracks can all be listened to individually and be enjoyed intensely but also band together to tell a good story.
Respect. Impressed with your knowledge of Philly sound
That album was destined to be a classic from the time I heard that first single and they did not disappoint.
I love so much this album... ❤
Wtf is this alchimie....🔥
Thx for your review
Very good recognition of the glock bells likened to Boue Magic & The Delfonics. Very impressed!
Heard a lot of reactions to this but your producer ear.🔥
Bruno reminded me of David Ruffin in the smoking out the window video!! His movement, power and passion gave me those vibes.
Greatest, most smooth album of the century. FIGHT ME!!!
This the fastest I’ve ever seen someone jump into an album, I love it lmao
I don’t think enough people realize how well Joey can sing 😩 10:03
Do you do reactions to rock music or like rock music at all? Cause there’s this rock band that I think is very underrated and it’d be cool to hear your thoughts on.
After Last Night and Put on a smile ✨✨✨
Burno and Anderson great combinations the guys did a great job on this album. CLASSIC
Paak is the one on the drums for every track except Smoking Out the Window ❤️
This album is the best.
I have that album by the Dramatics, "In the Rain". I like your reactions.
After Last Night track:
Bruno- Vocals, Drums, Guitar Solo
Anderson- Vocals
Thundercat- Vocals, Bass
Bootsy- Vocals
Jeremy Reeves- Percussion
D'Mille- Guitar & Piano
Do you think Silk Sonic was a response for the reception that Dynamite had? Like the marketing following this retro vibe?
Anyway, loving this albun
Finally 😍😍😍
.Paak killed the drum fills for sure
Album lived up to my expectations and more
Funkadelic sounds 🔥🔥🔥🔥
This is such a fire album, it's so damn good
In ‘fly as me’ it was just a guitar and bass playing the walking notes in tandem. Classic funk.
It's been decades but we here
i will never watch grammys if they give it to boring ballad adele over this masterpiece
React to Aries. He was also a RUclips producer before going full on his music. He just dropped his 2nd full album a few days ago!!!
After last night reminds me combination of EWF instrumentals and el debarge headvoice
Blast off is my favorite. I relate.
Instant classic
I believe Bruno played guitar in blast off
And on After Last night 🎸🎼♥️
I'm late, but you named it. So far none of the reactors had the groups right but you hit it, Blue Magic and Delfonics. Yes. Thanks. Have you heard Dimash Kudaibergen?
Who’s playing the drums? Sir, have you met Anderson Paak!?
I made the same face when that put on a smile started goood loooord....
My man, please tell me you hear the bernard Purdie influence when .paak spells out Fly, “it’s like we back in school again, cmon child-ren”
Made me smile so big
Does ct on his hat stand for Connecticut?
they taking the grammys
Arche 2-3 !!!when,Joey!!😭😭😭
they're blocked still : (
AOTY! AOTY!
Hell yeah.
I'm so happy you never mentioned Dick in a Box when you reacted to After Last Night 😂😂😂
Bootsy Collins Gave them the name And he is playing the bass
.PAAK!!! ANDERSON .PAAK IS ON THE DRUMS!!!!
Album of the year?
The face at 11:30 is a face I think anyone who loves music had as first reaction to hearing Silk Sonic 😂😂💯
Where are Arcane reactions? View numbers on first ep. were insane...
