I would have liked to hear you discuss stabilizer because that’s a big part of prepping for a successful embroidery project

Even though I have done ITH applique for many years, I wanted to see what the tutorial was about. Great work. I hope that you will be able too encourage more people to become embroidery enthusiasts along the journey. something to consider: not so much opening introduction is needed. and it is embroidery so the stabilizer you are using in each tutorial is very important to tell new people, much more so than the fact that you have a machine that threads itself. ty FYI I am one of your supporters loving your designs.

I am new to appliques. How do I identify within the design instructions when the applique placement line will be stitched? The instructions state which designs in the pattern have applique, but I get surprised every time when it starts. Is there a way to identify these in the ge pattern?

not quite sure about something. what is the difference between an embroidery design and an applique? are they setup differently? I have a babylock Aventura and LOVE IT! would love to try this but not quite sure if my embroidery designs are suited for applique. do I just skip thru some of the steps - do the placement - etc. make sense? I guess I'm asking if this method is 'in the hoop' as opposed to embroidery designs..

Great video tutorial ladies! I'm new to machine embroidery and appliquing and found your tutorial very helpful. I do have a question, though. I am making a baby quilt for our grandson who's expected to arrive in October and I want to applique his name in a section of the quilt. It will take re-hooping for each letter and I was wondering if you might have a tutorial on how to align the letters so they're in a straight line? I've searched the internet for answers, but to no avail. I'm hoping you (or another quilter who might read this) will be able to point me in the right direction. Thanks so much!

You should buy at a Baby Lock dealer. In order to find a dealer close to you, enter your zip code here: www.babylock.com/where-to-buy/ . I have a Baby Lock Unity (it does embroidery like this machine, but also is a "regular" sewing machine), and I'm telling you, it is unbelievable!!
