- The Helsinki fire department responding out of the central fire station. I am not sure if they were all going to the same call since they are taking different ways. You can see Mercedes Sprinter ambulance H191, Scania Pumper H11, 5-axle Sisu Bronto Skylift F61 RPX aerial truck H16 and Scania rescue truck H15 //

The alarm call is in finnish "ihmisen pelastaminen vedestä" or in english rescue somebody from water including units Helsinki P4, 11, 16 (ladder), 25 (divers from other station) and ambulance H292. So it can be that the unit H15 is going to the another alarm.
Perinteinen Pitkäsilta
So someone stuck down the water?
This is how emergency vehicles should be lighted
Well that's pretty much the situation all over northern Europe, some depts. have a little bit less LEDs, but there are also some which even have some more than these ones
Der Gelenkmast ist geil👍👍.
The ambulance was like fuck you guys I'm out of here
it's a fluorescent light red which is easier to see than the normal fire-red, especially during the night
Sisu H15. That's one of the most good looking rescue vehicle!
That video was probably taken at spring so all of the rubble laid on the roads in winter likes to get air born from the car tires.
SUPER FANTASTIC VIDEO! THANKS FOR SHARING IT WITH ME! ;o)
Those trucks are amazing, all those lights, wow! I wish we had more in England.
Ooh flashy lights
I guess I’m some parts of England have that
Yes thous are very nice rigs i love working on that station i normaly drive that H16. and yes on their way to same call but rig H15, last truck to roll out went beter way.
Thats a heck of a building for the department, ity almost looks like they have their own apartment complex there........
THey have own swimming pool etc inside the complex. Own WOrkshop etc. That is tiny side of that building. 1/10 of it
Raffe Rider I heard this big station have garage almost in every street around it in about i dont now 3 ways and its one own block
Very nice video, loving the blue flashing LED. The Truck and the Ambulance are Cool.
The H16 is simply an Aerial Platform with a max. rescue height of 200 ft
true, plus keep in mind, the boom is twice as high than the normal Tillers are
That Sisu platform isnt hanging about.
well it's a better height-weight-ratio; This one is 39 ft long and has a GVW of 72,000 pounds, with 5 axels they can still access roads and bridges which have a load restriction, and they also don't put so much pressure onto their outriggers
Its just, the alarm in the beginning says H25, not H15 so its possible that the 15 took another response?
Ofc its possible that p4(chief) changed the unit by the initial information.. It always takes a time when the guy puts up the diving gear before getting into truck, that explains why 15 left far behind than usually I have seen.
Kunnioittakaa suomen palokuntaa se on aivan mahtava
GTAIV SlavishUniform kiitoksia sinulle, itse harrastan vapaa palokuntaa olen ollut hälytyksissäkin mukana, olet mahtava koska osaat kunnioittaa kaikkia maailmassa olevia palomiehiä/naisia :)
well keep in mind this isn't just a 100ft Aerial, but a 200 ft Aerial - all that weight has to be distributed better on the axles
WOW, all those rigs have a ton of LED lights all over the front, side and back!! By far my fav European dept I have viewed on youtube!
In Poland, the rescuers were going different routes, if one is locked, then the second vehicle reaches and start the action. Of course, as the road is similar in length, usually in cities.
Finnish firetruck fronts look like drivable discoball :) but atleast they can be seen!
Love the Sisu platform!..200 feet of aerial.
Great!.
Wow h16 is big
The H16 is beautiful. So big.
Guys is Helsinki like Germany where their Firefighters are all Paramedics and doing the Ambulance or no? Plus the US is way more aggressive with Aerials where Europe use them more for surround and drown. I'm ok with what we have.
I don't know if their firefighters are all paramedics. But a word on the aerial situation:
I don't think we use them very often for surround and drown. Their main task is in about 80% aerial rescue operations (e.g. when a stairway is to small for a patient or generally in fires - fire stairs aren't popular in europe). Very common tasks too: cleaning the chimney on chimney fires. Surround and drown happens only if there's no other options left - and that case isn't very often.
But there's also a major difference between aerials in US and Europe: US aerials have ground ladder, europeans haven't, US trucks often got water and a pump with them, europeans haven't. That results in a very different fire tactic.
But: Our aerials are much smaller and lighter, thus more versatile for their main task: operating the turntable ladder.
From my understanding the firefighters do a 24h shift and 12 of those hours they are paramedics and the other half firefighters. Normal firetrucks have all the same equipment than the ambulances
In Finland, the paramedics are categorized into two groups: level A (primary/ALS) and B (basic/BLS) paramedics, where level A-paramedics go through a 3,5 university-like school and where B-level paramedics are practical nurses who have specialized in emergency care or firefighters. Some FDs in Finland tend to have 24h shifts, where you work 12 hours as a firefighter and 12 as a paramedic.
as for the use of Aerials, it depends on where in Europe you happen to be: Thus, some FDs in Sweden have explosives on board of their Aerials in order to blast holes into the roof and through walls for ventilation / 2nd access points.
What crane? Do you mean the Bronto Ladder Platform? If so it is 61m's, which works out to be 200 feet.
yes it is a heavy duty truck builder from FInland
Cool siren
thanks
Sisu - cool)
Great, Skoda Favorit in Helsinki on 1:13 and 1:32 :D
Super video !!! :-D
second siren of H15 Was the loudest
Brontos can be found in the US, too, but I don't think that Scanias are delivered there as well
On kallion asema
absolute Spitzen klasse geiles design geile SoSi Anlagen schicke FW könnte der FW Hannover leicht Konkurenz amchen aber dennoch Feuerwehr Hannover the best :=)
Perinteisesti Pitkäsilta vedestä pelastamis keikka
That 5-axle unit looks really cool, would be nice in crowded american cities to replace tillers.
H16 is nice and seems to go well!
What surprised me the most about that unit is the fact it has five axles. I have never seen an aerial ladder with five axles, mainly I saw two or three ones.
I would like to see a comprehensive approach in American Cities. Maybe we could have a few Ladder Companies have specialised Elevating Platforms AKA Snorkels like H16 while others remain regular. Or we could even develop a system that puts European Ladders, which are higher than the standard 100 ft. ladders in America, onto Tillers for even greater mobility.
I would love to see the Heavy rescue tenders and HAZMAT truck.
What is the name of the siren on the ambulance?
Wow! 👍🏼
Ich würde ja lieber Presslufthörner draufpacken. :) Trotzdem geiles Video und natürlich Favo
Richtig gutes Video=)
what year was the land rover defender 110 rescue unit?????
What's the h116 unit used for? I've never seen that before?
Coole SoSi!
Oh sure. Really my stupid typing mistake! Sorry..
Nice truck !!!
Eric Lam nkiioinnm9ö
aaaach du scheisse die front vom h11 *____* super video!-mal wieder :D
Its from Finland. From the city of Helsinki
Sirens are really funny!
H11 Siren voice is good
-_-
only cuuz it looks like a xmas tree...
It's the H16, the H15 is a Scania
Why so many Wheels on the aerial?
Also an blitzern ham die da ja net gespart ;)
oh and it was water rescue.
Great lights and sirens!
is there a construction site or why is there so much dust ???
In winter time the city spreads sand to icy streets to prevent accidents. This is early spring, so all that sand is not cleaned away yet.
The fire truck is alright
That crane is big
Mooi!!!
Favo;)
Verry nice!!
H16 is boss!
Very cool !!
I'm
nice!!!

Onko tää Kallion pelastusasema vai mikä?
Asema 10 Kallio, Helsingin keskuspelastusasema.
Minne se P4 jäi?
Tais olla jo matkalla tai toisella tehtävällä
0:50 sounds like a swedish ambulance/police
where is the last guy going?
nicholas Fields I don't know but he took off like a badass
Toilet...
Some other misson HE105
My ears are bleeding
Nice beefy rigs, but WTF, you run out of RED paint, and use orange?
But its Tiny for a 200 foot... In the US there are 200ft and 100 foot smaller aerials but they way about 80,000 pounds and only have the two front and 2 sets of double wheels
What kind of Siren do they use i like the yelp cause its not a code 3 or whelen
japfireman1 Siren is called Sarco SOS-106 and it's made by finnish company Sarco Oy.
where can you buy one of those??? and it would be awesome if the firefighters over there could let you do a video demo of the siren cause theres no video on youtube about that siren only responses of the fire trucks using it...
I replied to your channel's conversation.
i like those sirens and im from Finland i live in Kuopio i hear lot of those sirens becouse we live next to a FireStation and Hospital !
They have the creepiest Yelp and hi-lo sirens
Welches Land ist das???
Finnland.
European sirens are the worst, takes any ounce of cool out of those trucks
oh shut the fuck up
I totally agree. I'm from Finland and I absolutely hate these sirens!
On what ever truck that is that say h16 any britch person please tell me wtf is that shit heap because in my butiful country America we don't have that I mean we do but wtf is that and the siren scares me
+meme sugar That's a ladder truck...
y do my country ladder truck look like a ladder truck but this look like something else h16 is bigger thane american fire ladder truck but i tell u one thing that not a ladder
+meme sugar Yeah... to be more exact, the H16 seems to be an aerial tower unit (or whatever you call that in English)...
i dont know but we have a ladder truck
+meme sugar That Appliance H16 is called an Aerial Platform. The boom is made by Bronto Skylift of Finland and will extend to 61 metres height. (200 feet). It does not have a ladder as it is too big to have one. It has far superior technology and will out perform any "Ladder Truck" for speed & reach
that's one ugly ladder truck.
Well you aint so pretty either.
