We do longer school days M-W (around 3 hours for lessons), and less school on TH & F (around one hour of formal lessons). We keep the weekends totally free because that is the time we get with my hubby and we have lots of community activities. But I know they are learning 24/7 :)
Yes, learning is happening 24/7, whether we as homeschool parents are facilitating it or not! Your schedule sounds relatively similar to mine, since Th and F are busier workdays for me typically (hence the concept of “Free Reading Friday”). Keep up the good work!
@@KidsLearningforLife So good. We only school 2 hours a day. Not from being strapped for time but simply because I don't feel we need any more than that! Thank you for sharing your voice on this topic.
I suppose! Maybe a little more child led for sure. They get to listen to music, audiobooks, or do nature study independently. And they almost always have chores to work on too. And then we also do read alouds of course.
The kids find all sorts of activities to do! Most of the time it’s art projects or playing outside. Sometimes it’s watching a movie or an educational TV show. But truly, we do very little screen time. They’re used to this type of schedule where they have to entertain themselves, which is probably good for them! I work full-time during the day.

This is a blessing to me. Thanks
You are very welcome 🥰
Love how you make this work for you.
Thank you! It’s been working great lately, so I just had to share with people who are tight on time.

Great video!
Thanks!
Great video! Would you call the rest of the day unschooling for your girls?

What are the kids doing while you are working? And what is your work schedule like?
