    The're jerks! There is a pair that lives near my cottage in the Sierra Foothills. They harrass me and the cat constantly. The male even follows me on my walks to the nearby village giving, me a hard time the whole way. Both will sit nearby when I work in the garden, sometimes even on the ground right next to me, constantly calling out. One of the neighborhood humming birds, which I have a great relationship with, will hassle the jays when they're hassling me! Life in the woods!

      Also, the squirrels love them, as they warn of hawks...

    😇 *I 💙 STELLAR JAY'S* 😇
    My favorite bird to watch, I had several that hung around my farm in an apple tree in my backyard. I'd watch these beautiful birds from my kitchen almost daily. I miss seeing them.

      i think its pretty, i think we humans anthropomorphize bird calls too much and can't appreciate them in context

    Awful creature. Attempt to drive off in and harass all other smaller birds. I always hear about how they are super great and amazing. They are quite beautiful, but I have witnessed firsthand their predatory cruel nature. I find their music grating and I love the Canada jay( wiskedjak) very much so seeing their feathers on the ground When I try and call them in to feed them is getting old

    I'm trying to figure out if they're nice to other birds like hummingbirds.. I heard they eat eggs

    • @zoe_moth
      @zoe_moth 2 года назад

      They aren't, they eat other birds (baby hummingbirds are their favorite) and they're actually pretty territorial and will all collectively divebomb another bird if it enters their territory

    a young one i assume was learning how to fly fell into the wrong backyard. mine, i have a pappy and terrier...the squaks caught my attention and saved the young bird while the assuming parents dove and yelled. Put the dog in the house and the bird in a box w/some grass and it yelled than calmed down. a few feathers are gone on left wing but nothing broken, it flaps around great but now what?, The fir tree is too high for a ladder and can't spot a nest, i know they live there for they eat and bathe in our garden daily. i tool an old hanging flower pot, filled it with grass and climbed our ladder and nailed it as high up as to still be able to check on it...a cup of rain water and bird seed in there and pray? and yes i called animal rescue/bird rescue w/o help so, ...we'll see and God Willing.

    I always thought that this way was similar to the Eastern Jay. I was wrong.
    I get see an array of different birds. There is a family of crows living in the neighborhood. There are lots of tall evergreen and the crow keep the birds of prey away with an aerial chase. Too bad I can't film it. It was directly above my home too. Our garden have lots of different visitor. Bugs, birds, and the neighbors cat. A family of raccoon walk across the fence. One time I saw a crow taking a bath in a bird bath a few years back when it was hitting three digits.
